I've been in Starfield for about 15 hrs, Lies of p is coming, cyberpunk is coming at the end of the month and I still have to play baldurs Gate. The rpgs in this year is wonderful
For those who didn't play the demo: The deflection works like Sekiro's, it doesn't disbalance the enemy for a riposte like in BB. Standard block: recoverable hp loss (easy but costly) Perfect guard: no hp loss and build enemy's nonvisible stagger meter. eg. When the Watchman boss does a chain attack, chain deflections are needed. This is the core part of the game and everything else is built around it. The nerfed roll during lock on is to encourage deflection.
I just souls it with dodges. Cant perfect block.for the life of me so i just dodge. Its nothing like sekiro. The perfect block window is pathetically tiny.
@I-am-Weasel if you want to go the deflect route just go the practice range and deflect the dummies. The timing isnt hard, it feels easier to deflect than Sekiro imo, but thats just might be because I played sekiro at 60 fps and this game at 200+ fps so everything is alot smoother. I still prefer to dodge myself though, I prefer the bloodborne playstyle.

I did a motivity bill and went straight to 30 and then started putting in vitality and stamina. You have enough health in the beginning of the game. You won't get one shot at it.
The Advance stat is important for using legion arms. I run a motivity build and rely heavily on the puppet string arm to get in and use minimal stamina. So I went with a high motivity/advance build. Also, when you get to the gold coin fruit tree, you can re spec all your options just by clicking on the tree again after you harvest the fruit. While i love souls type games when it comes to a certain point in the games IE major bosses i suck and can't seem to beat them id like to know how difficult this games gona be if its a bit forgiving like the jedi games or is it full blown bloodborne and i shouldn't bother
@@Fextralife Much appreciated 🙏 big fan of the channel since I first saw your early elden ring builds often come here for your reviews on souls games hope to get your impressions for any further questions in the future.
I'm about 4 or 5 bosses in and I believe it to be about elden ring difficulty. While everyone compares it to bloodborne it really plays nothing like it imo. It's more like elden ring or Sekiro. Since the deflect and blocking is similar to how sekiro works tho tighter windows.
The checkpoint system and retrieving souls is far more forgiving in Lies of P. Those facts alone make it easier than Bloodborne. Bloodborne is a masterpiece but Lies of P is a nice substitute.
Bloodborne become my zen game, and Sekiro was difficult for a long while, but I played through the demo multiple times and none of that skill was kept. Lies of P is probably the hardest game I've played it's not unfair, but you can't cheap things and you have to be on point with combat decisions because you can't cancel out or into anything. It's theme and story telling combined with interesting and unique combat has me hooked tho and I will just continue to struggle.
Ideal weight is less than 60% not 80%. Anything above 60 takes more stamina and makes dodging harder.
You don't need to dodge as a sweeper. Just practice on your block timing. This class is so strong, you can trade hp on most boss and mini boss.

It’s a very heavily inspired souls like. It’s fun.
Why is that bad? We need more games like these and also it says in the game description that it's a souls like. They're not claiming to have invented to style or anything
There is literally a whole genre now called "souls-like" and 100s of games inspired by them. (Mortal shell, remnant 1 and 2, lords of the fallen, ashen, the surge 1 and 2, jedi fallen order/survivor, nioh 1 and 2, etc) Have you been living under a rock? Lol
It's a clone.
@@thomaszielinski4326 Remnant 2 is so fun lol. While y'all hating over everything we chillin playing 3 man co op
Of course I see this after selling the first two bosses ergo
God I feel so stupid watching this, most of the time he’s talking I’m like wtf does that mean….
Elden Ring tutorial is even worse, I was wondering if we speak the same English lol
While i love souls type games when it comes to a certain point in the games IE major bosses i suck and can't seem to beat them id like to know how difficult this games gona be if its a bit forgiving like the jedi games or is it full blown bloodborne and i shouldn't bother
You can use ai companions on boss fights and it helps a lot.
@@Fextralife Much appreciated 🙏 big fan of the channel since I first saw your early elden ring builds often come here for your reviews on souls games hope to get your impressions for any further questions in the future.
Happy to help! Currently hard at work with lies of p wiki (have about 600 pages done) so if you end up playing I hope it helps!
@@Fextralife Tried out the demo this morning i most likely will pick it up I look forward to the wikis keep up the good work!
I heard that Quality & Dex builds arent worth it. I was going to go Sweeper (Strength/Motility)... Is that true? I normally do a quality build.
i heard the opposite lmao. str weapons don't have hyperarmor on their attacks so you can get staggered by any enemy
Dex build was insanely good in the demo.....
How do you get the Scythe weapon ?
Kill the king of puppets and you can buy it with his boss soul .
I already sold my boss ergo 😭
what the heck someone told me to put points into advance early on
It's basically souls games 101. Same shit, different game.
Would you say this is harder than Bloodborne?
Is this game harder than elden ring or dark souls
Harder than elden ring, easier than bloodborne
