Forces you to go farm which isn’t fun with how easy early game areas are. Adding to #11, DO NOT rely on the puppet string tier 3 for any enemies / bosses that 1: move around a lot (Romeo, Nameless Puppet, Iaxaia) or 2: have overhead attacks. What will happen most of the time is you will pull towards them, go into the air then they will move away, you will miss your landing attack and get punished. Or if they have an overhead; just get knocked down mid air.
I beat Romeo and Namless Puppet mainly with the String, I get your point, but you can time your string jumps so your jumping attack lands on them (at the end of their combos, or if you dodge and you can hit them from behind while they are hitting the air, when they are flinched, etc)
I've heard its an exploit but it feels pretty broken. If you hold down your legion button while Aegis is equipped, you can rapidly tap the normal block button and your aegis will auto perfect guard everything. You use up a bit of legion, but even with the thing not charged you can block rapid fire hits. Try it on the robots in the exhibition, the big ones. You'll be breaking their sawblades and drills in no time and their damage drops.

Thats probably why.
Agree. The short parry window is not an issue. The obnoxious attack delay followed by extremely fast hit landing makes it very difficult to react. Most of the fight is more remembering the timing and muscle memory than reacting to attacks.
Yes, this is my main gripe with the game, and before someone says "git gud, skill issue, deahh!" I have played other many souls games, and they don't have this same issue (besides Elden Ring to a degree). The extremely long and delayed wind up, followed by a ridiculously fast strike makes it frustratingly difficult to parry. This is not good difficulty, it's just cheap and annoying. This is mostly an issue with the bosses, but even basic enemies have really annoying delayed attacks.
If you're against a boss that can be hard to stagger, or that you feel you lose to often because you can't make up for the damage they output, go for the attack link on the puppet string, using it gets you fully out of the way of their next attack and always slightly staggers them and deals a lot of stagger damage, works for basically anyone, most humans if they can't be grabbed and pulled with the normal string might dodge but when it works it pays off. Larger enemies usually won't be able to dodge it so on elite enemies and bosses like swamp monster it's very useful, even more so than any other legion arm i've found.

I'm on NG+++ now and lv 250, regarding the softcaps, yeah they give less still on that level I need to go higher. I made all important stats 60. no idea if a waste, but what else to put them in then?
Vitality falls off hard after 35-40 and so do most other stats. But capacity just keeps going up by 3 equip load indefinitely I believe. I got up to 50% damage negation with 30+ capacity and the amulet that boosts damage negation and bosses still hit you for 80% of your health in NG+. So capacity is one of the most important stats. Once you get the ultra quality build with 40 in everything there’s really nothing else to spend ergo on except consumables and throwables
@@grimreefer213what do you recommend overall on stats? I beat the game the first time and don't wanna start ng yet. I wanna keep farming for ergo to prepare.
@@godmvskvisions8831 Id suggest just farming ergo to buy any remaining useful items and throwables to get you through to chapter 5, but not for levels in new game because the ergo drops are just far too low. For NG+ I went with quality strength/ dex both at 40 as i think that’s the best way to go. I used pipe wrench head and the bone cutting saw both on the krat police baton, those are some of the best weapons you’re going to get and does a lot of work on bosses, better than most boss weapons. Infuse the krat police baton with a technique crank to get C-C in str/dex once you have around 30-30 in each stat. I’d get vitality to 35-40 and capacity to 30+, vigor to 18. You could stick with base scaling or motivity crank on the handle before you get at least 30-30 in each stat, but quality is the way to go. But it’s entirely up to you what to do with your stats. My first playthrough I did an advance build and used the advance weapons which can be good on most bosses but the damage was shit on some of the bosses and strength build performed much much better. Puppet string level 4 is amazing and i’d suggest getting the skill that gives you more uses of the special grindstone.
Don't take my word as fact, but it seems to me that this game was designed in a way to constantly save almost every move you make, overwriting the last. For instance, if you have to make a decision between truth or lie and end up regretting your choice, you can't go back from it. Again, I'm not too savvy, but I've tried on gamepass myself multiple ways but realized pretty quickly that the game was very much built like this intentionally. I mean, I get it. It does suck alot though. I accidentally spent 2 boss souls at the beginning of my first playthough and instantly tried to quit and load back. Knew it wouldn't work, but tried regardless. It's part of the package unfortunately. If I'm wrong, I'd appreciate if someone could let me know. Again, I'm on gamepass on series x. I'm sure it's much more easy to work around on PC if ya know what you're doing but generally it's just part of the immersion and overall experience. I remember all the Dark Souls being the same way, but with how janky it was, you could work around that with a backup drive. Seems the devs kept that in mind when they made this game. Like I said, I had the same thing happen my first playthrough and it ended up just being a motive to start NG+, and do it carefully with that in mind lol. Again, I may be wrong, this is just my experience. Hope this helps even a little, good luck. 😎 this game ABAOLUTELY SLAPS!

honestly the trident carried me through the whole game, i tried switching to the circle one but the trident is so much better r2 to r1 and repeat you’ll beat any boss
Something I learned on complete accident, that I haven't heard anyone talk about, the Greatsword of the Ark. If you attack and instantly do the transform fable art, it does an attack as it transforms the weapon. One more thing to add about this game being a love letter to soulsborne games.
@@Dude357 soulsborne is the ''right'' term and it means fromsoftware games, soulslike means games from other developers, nobody likes people that takes things too literally... that's annoying
Weapon weight seems to tie into how much stagger/weapon durability enemies suffer when you perfect guard, it's pretty obvious when you're guarding with a huge weapon vs a dagger and I used the wrench perfect guards to make romeo break his weapon and stun himself repeatedly
Went with a "balanced" build and used the electric club, the fire knife and the acid spear. I like when weapons have an additional status effect like the frost sword from Dark Souls 3 When an enemy is electrified, burning or acidizied, they take more damage from your same weapon that caused the debuff.
Another thing that can break the groggy state is the final upgrades of most arms, like the explosion of the fire or thr tipple charge of the electricity
i recommend the mjolnir handle which can be used for motivity builds or the acidic great curved sword, as the yboth come with the handle fable art "absolute defence" Absolutely op fable art, decent window to use it, basically a free perfect block for its like, about 1.5 section duration. Only cost 1 fable bar. Boss gonna use a flurry of attacks? Absolute defence will perfect parry every attack for the next 1.5ish seconds.
Due to how attacks and guarding work, every new "elite" or boss enemy is likely to be frustrating as you have little hope of consistently guarding, let alone doing perfect guards until you know the timing of all of their attacks and even then you are unlikely to be able to perfect guard combo attacks. Since you can't cancel out of an attack animation, combat can turn into a very slow game of waiting for a known opening to get one or two hits in, then waiting again. That is part of the reason Advance elemental application is so effective, as you are still doing damage while waiting for the attack combo to end. This is also the reason it is generally a waste of time to fight any of the big enemies that respawn as they don't have unique drops, nor do they give as much Ergo (and potential item drop) as you will get killing multiple smaller easy enemies in the same amount of time. I realize you sort of covered this before, but it isn't simple at all. Two Simple Tricks to Master Lies of P Combat! th-cam.com/video/tV-HQI_Vl9o/w-d-xo.htmlsi=KRUOsGTKeNQBW3dJ I guess you could do the same thing for the Mad Clown Puppet for comparison as that is a particularly annoying enemy to get hits in, though ironically the fury attack is relatively "easy" to perfect guard.
I wish you could get the Perfect Guard Grindstone earlier! I struggled so hard with the early and mid game bosses, but the grindstone helped tremendously with the 3 tough bosses near the end
When fighting a boss with 2 stages separated by a CUT SCENE you can TELEPORT back to the STARGAZER and regain all heals. The boss will also stay in its 2nd form allowing a easier boss fight. Haven’t seen anyone mention this pls upvote?
It's funny how i can parry lady butterfly's multiple complex fast attacks in Sekiro, but i have a hard time dealing with this games delayed attacks that drag on before they land, and they land FAST.
I dont know if its a glitch or something, but I could do the reset of P Organs and stuff, at the Golden tree. From the second i found it. So way before the game showed me this statue.
I am 8 hours in, and I just from watching your video I realize I should not have used those rare ergos! Now I can't get the weapons I want! 8 hours wasted wtf.
Game is kind of easy so far with a Motivity build, I ran through Bosses on my second playthrough, whereas in Sekiro I could only get past Owl after a week of attempts. Big Wrench head and Police Baton Handle with charged heavy attacks can carry you through the entire game.
I had read that, in order to unlock the next phase P-Organ nodes, I would have to unlock two nodes from the current phase. I noticed you only unlocked one phase 3 node (the Pulse Cell enhancer). So, did you reset your P-Organ, using the Saintess statue, after unlocking phase 4?
You can skip phases. Like if you unlock 2 nodes in phase 1, it unlocks phase 2. Then you unlock the other 2 nodes in phase 1 and it opens up phase 3. You don't have to unlock any nodes in phase 2 to go to phase 3, this way. If you reset p-organ, it doesn't keep phase 4 open. It completely resets the nodes and you have to unlock the phases all over again.
@@P4wnyhof It's good to know I can unlock phase 4 without wasting quartz on a node I don't think it'll be useful to me. By the way, the only phase 3 node I found really useful to me was also the Pulse Cell Enhancer.

Adding to the respec portion of this advice; please pay attention to the HANDLES of your weapons in your play through! 1. If started your play through as a technique build but want to change to a motivity build, then you will have to switch out the handles of your weapons to match; which can also be a pain since there is a limited amount of cranks to pick up through the game. 2. Although respecing is a nice feature, I would suggest that instead of respecing, I would start a fresh game just to be more safe in terms of ergo; but, if you are a balanced build, respecing shouldn’t be a problem.
so cool to see you aggain here for Lies of P, great tipps! Been watching you alot back when you streamed Hearthstone when it came out ;) Thx for the content, been enjoying it a lot!
Shotputs are an overpowered throw able due to the staggering chances. Pay attention to the enemies for what element to use against them (petrified weak to fire, puppets weak to electric or acid.) I made the mistake of using the bosses ergo for the boost the levels faster. and I'm still in my first playthrough. As for the weapons thing. Choose the handle for your preferred fight style (I mainly used the puppets saber for the majority of the first half of the game) but if you are going for a specific style for advanced users in Lies of P go with the acidic handle and the salamander dagger for the reach and flame situation and switch to the electrical weapon you get early in the game for puppets.
Points in vitality past 24 are a waste imo. 12 HP per level? Nope. It’s absurd we have to level capacity above everything else though imo. Capacity should have been merged with vigor.
For easy mode use the straight sawblade with the master chef's knife handle; much less stamina consumption than the dancer handle and it attacks faster too, bit less scaling but if you are going only for technique it doesnt really matter.

if you mean the singer you need to parry her attacks until you break her sword to make it much easier, at that point you can just move and look to do a critical hit from her back.
IM SORRY, LIES OF PIPE!? 😂
Plzz make video about how to find and restore the save files for xbox game pass . I can find it but i think cloud rewrites it everytime i recover it
Don't take my word as fact, but it seems to me that this game was designed in a way to constantly save almost every move you make, overwriting the last.
@@seabassleak6797 dark souls or any other game I played with steam had save files that you could recover
Here also I found the save files , I took a copy and after playing for a while, I exited the game and paste replaced the save files to new ones , but when I open the game it's back where I left
I didn't try it offline though , my guess is Xbox app rewrites the save file from cloud, I couldn't find anything in setting to turn off the cloud saving
Bro...where tf u get a pylon hat at? Lmao...seriously tho???
Yea, they should fix the silly strafe cheesing. And not only in this game.
It's not cheesing its a strategy that works
Could also just get 20 throwables and kill a boss
@@P4wnyhof You basically just defined what cheesing is - aka a "tactic" that leaves the enemy hopeless/defenseless while requiring little to no effort from the player.
Spoilers yo, spoilers!!!! 😅😅😅
Giving it a thumbs up but please please PLEASE add a spoiler warning. I'm in the final or second to final area and I still got spoiled by something major. I also see several other bits that are huge spoilers to new players.
I love these "tips" that require end game items.
Listen Mate :) Tips are for everyone also for the endgame
Pro tip: git gud.
maybe you should put a freaking spoiler warning in your video??? Especially when most of your "tips" are basically "yes, you have to play half through game and just get the good stuff"
Idk man if you’re looking at tips and tricks for a whole game instead of looking at walkthrough you’re asking for something to be spoiled
@@madlad8059 sp ypz want me to look for tips and Trick for half a game? Dude? What are you talking about?
@@akatajamojo8552 I’m saying their are people who make videos for specific area of a game and what they suggest you do for that area. If you release a video for tips and tricks on whole game you will need talk about all the different areas of the game especially since this game has multiple enemies types in different area and some found only in certain areas.
honestly the trident carried me through the whole game, i tried switching to the circle one but the trident is so much better r2 to r1 and repeat you’ll beat any boss
im currently using the booster glaive
Trident gang!!!
Something I learned on complete accident, that I haven't heard anyone talk about, the Greatsword of the Ark. If you attack and instantly do the transform fable art, it does an attack as it transforms the weapon. One more thing to add about this game being a love letter to soulsborne games.
It's just "Souls". Bloodborne fans insist on saying "SoulsBorne" but it's dumb. We wouldn't say "DemonSoulsBorneRing" to include the others.
@@Dude357 i think its more of a way to establish a difference between souls-likes and fromsoft games, atleast that is how i think of it
@@Dude357 soulsborne is the ''right'' term and it means fromsoftware games, soulslike means games from other developers, nobody likes people that takes things too literally... that's annoying
@@Dude357literally everyone knows what you mean by "soulsborne"
one thing: capacity does not have a softcap. it goes up 3 weight every time, until 100
Interesting but I still think 20 is decent for a motivity/technique build. There's no point in farming ergos when you can simply end the game
Best build if you can’t block or parry like me is the extra dodge and dodge without stamina amulet it’s genuinely overpowered if your calm n careful
I like when weapons have an additional status effect like the frost sword from Dark Souls 3
When an enemy is electrified, burning or acidizied, they take more damage from your same weapon that caused the debuff.
No reason to go to grand exhibition statue to respec. Can just do it at the Gold Coin Tree
They patche dthat :D But yes can do that now!
Another thing that can break the groggy state is the final upgrades of most arms, like the explosion of the fire or thr tipple charge of the electricity
Thats true!
@@P4wnyhof i didn' knew about the pot shot tho, thank you for that tip!
i recommend the mjolnir handle which can be used for motivity builds or the acidic great curved sword, as the yboth come with the handle fable art "absolute defence" Absolutely op fable art, decent window to use it, basically a free perfect block for its like, about 1.5 section duration.
Two Simple Tricks to Master Lies of P Combat!
th-cam.com/video/tV-HQI_Vl9o/w-d-xo.htmlsi=KRUOsGTKeNQBW3dJ
I guess you could do the same thing for the Mad Clown Puppet for comparison as that is a particularly annoying enemy to get hits in, though ironically the fury attack is relatively "easy" to perfect guard.
How you do that?
@repstylegaming9730 you use the stopwatch item or whatever it is and it brings you back to the most recent stargazer or the hotel
"Pls upvote" 🤓🤓
@@Hollow9444how are you gonna do that during a cutscene
This is not true.. it resets
No thats new :) They just recently updated that!
@@P4wnyhofOh I see. But why then having the statue at all XD

I am 8 hours in, and I just from watching your video I realize I should not have used those rare ergos! Now I can't get the weapons I want! 8 hours wasted wtf.
Nah can get them NG+! And you want to beat the game 3 times for all 3 endings :D
Game is kind of easy so far with a Motivity build, I ran through Bosses on my second playthrough, whereas in Sekiro I could only get past Owl after a week of attempts. Big Wrench head and Police Baton Handle with charged heavy attacks can carry you through the entire game.
Beating the game with only 9 motility and 9 technique is crazy
Nah - Either advance main or motivity main or technique main - Don't have to mix and match :D
I did and also you can unlock P1 to unlock p4 it's just about unlocking big nodes!
@@FoNgThOnG That's really good to know. So, its possible to spend less quartz to unlock further phases.
@@P4wnyhof It's good to know I can unlock phase 4 without wasting quartz on a node I don't think it'll be useful to me. By the way, the only phase 3 node I found really useful to me was also the Pulse Cell Enhancer.
For me the real fun began with ng+1 the feeling when easily parry or dodge every boss action which was a pain in the ass before thats it -:D
2:48 bro youre playing literally the same costume im wearing.. that coat and the mouse head... brooooo.... but i invested all my points in technique so suck it.. suckitsuckitsuckit...
U can simply buy cranks for decent 800 ergo
How can I find perfection grind stone ?
It's towards the end of the game butler of vignini sells it after receiving one of those support items
so cool to see you aggain here for Lies of P, great tipps! Been watching you alot back when you streamed Hearthstone when it came out ;)

Just started this game a couple days ago and damn!! I’m stoked we can reset p organs and shit later on
You can spin right and left while attacking with the Katana. Extremely helpful
Shotputs are an overpowered throw able due to the staggering chances. Pay attention to the enemies for what element to use against them (petrified weak to fire, puppets weak to electric or acid.)
I made the mistake of using the bosses ergo for the boost the levels faster. and I'm still in my first playthrough.
I’m bothered by the fact that u chose the real boy ending and killed everybody in hotel Krat😢
I got all 3 endings ❤️
Why does it have to be a specific build , why can't I just make balanced stats ?
In 2023 EVERY video that assumes a list MUST have chapter division.
Shall we make this a simple rule?
I love the dragons sword but your stamina takes heavy depletion after 2-3 attacks
Man the best way to turn the game easy is with summons, my god use it in archbishop andreus and that shit was so easy.
Im at chapter 5 now and I feel totally fucked for trading al my ergo for currency instead 😢
Like the video cant believe you called a chakram a lil stupid weapon doe they are real
For easy mode use the straight sawblade with the master chef's knife handle; much less stamina consumption than the dancer handle and it attacks faster too, bit less scaling but if you are going only for technique it doesnt really matter.
In my first meeting with Aldoro the hound I picked the Hotel Krat option instead of lying to him twice. Will that lock me out of obtaining the Golden Lie Special Weapon? And also every time I tried to pet at Hotel Krat she hissed at me every time am I petting her wrong or is there a hidden mechanic.
And also I'm planning to take on the White Lady boss ids there any tips you could provide
if you mean the singer you need to parry her attacks until you break her sword to make it much easier, at that point you can just move and look to do a critical hit from her back.
About the cat I think you need to become more human to be able to pet her, you need to listen to music and lie in your playthrough, except to the blonde robot, you can tell him the truth :)@@tomchan742
Or just get capacity to 100 then weights no problem.....

No kidding best tips video for this game
does changing my handles scaling to max advance allow me to use any handle with an elemental tip??
No - If you change a motivity handle to advance its gonna be suboptimal - Gonna be a D or C Scaling - Advance Handle Upgraded = S Tier or A Tier Scaling
