Technique builds in Lies of P provide a distinct playstyle centered on agility. And with the right combination of weapons, armor, and abilities, a technique build can turn you into a killing machine! Technique is the equivalent of Dexterity in other souls like games and if you're used to a dexterity playstyle then you already know that these builds excel in both speed and power. The reason Technique builds perform so well in Lies of P is because you’re going to face opponents with faster attacks. In essence, you’ll simply match speed for speed which means you can go toe to toe with any enemy in the game.
The main stats to focus on for this build includes Vitality, Vigor, Capacity and technique. Vitality determines your character's HP. Your overall health amount will grow as you increase your Vitality, and your Guard Regain abilities will also be improved. As your vigor increases, your stamina will grow allowing you to execute more consecutive attacks and cover more ground in general. A higher Capacity means you can carry a heavier load, including your Legion Arm, Amulets, and Weapons. And lastly, Technique is going to be your primary damage modifier. The further you improve technique the more damage your technique scaling weapons will deal.
Next lets talk about weapons. This build utilizes one of the best weapon combinations in the game for a technique build and also takes full advantage of the BEST boss weapon in the game, The 2 Dragons Sword. One of the best starting technique weapons besides the one you choose at the beginning of the game is the Booster Glaive. This weapon can be found inside a chest in Chapter 3. I love the Booster Glaive because the charged heavy allows you to thrust forward towards your enemies and this range advantage is huge when you're going up against tough enemies or even bosses.
This transitions well into the next weapon because my main weapon combination consists of the Booster Glaive Handle and the Live Puppets Axe Blade. With this weapon, the speed, range and power is all here. Now I will admit this weapon is a lot slower than other technique weapons but it offers way more damage and versatility in return.
The second weapon on this build probably one of the best weapons in the entire game is the Two Dragons Sword. This powerful boss weapon offers S tier scaling for technique giving you the maximum amount of damage possible depending on your stats. To get the Two Dragons Sword you will need to defeat the Puppet Devouring Green Monster in Chapter 8. The bosses Ergo can be given to Alidoro in exchange for the weapon.
The Two Dragon's Sword comes with two Fable Arts: Link Emergency Dodge and Wind Of Swords. Link emergency dodge is incredible in situations where you feel overwhelmed or just need to gain some quick distance to open up some room for a powerful attack. The whole sequence consists of a dodge, forward stab and a powerful 360 spinning attack. Wind of Swords will execute a quick and powerful ranged attack that’s good for AOE damage.
The best Legion arm to use on this build is the Puppet String Legion Arm. In my personal opinion, it is the best and most versatile arm in the entire game. Being able to close those gaps or even pull enemies towards you is a huge benefit to have especially against bosses. This is also the first legion arm you obtain in the game so I would advise fully upgrading this arm as soon as you can! It works with every build and in most cases, its always going to be the best choice. The upgrades include trace which allows you to pull enemies towards you, dodge which enables dodging after a hit and lastly the best upgrade, attack link. This is the upgrade that allows you to pull yourself towards enemies, launch yourself into the air and unleash a powerful attack.
The first amulet im using is the iron wall amulet which increases physical damage reduction rate. I’m also using the puppet destroyer amulet which increases damage inflicted on puppets. The patience amulet is so good to have because it increases stamina recovery speed. I also have the Arm of God amulet which temporarily increases physical damage upon a successful strike so essentially the more you attack the more damage you will deal. And lastly the recharged amulet which restores your HP continuously.

Booster glaive was my handle of choice too. I used the bone saw blade or the dancers blade depending on how i was feeling. Bone saw is pure damage, dancers is crazy mobility.
Your weapon choice, Live puppets Axe Blade with the Booster Glaive Handle absolutely destroyed the black rabbit second fight..
Really versatile weapon overall!
Booster glave heavy attack is game changing. Being able to close distance and strike before triggering their aggro or their attack animation is so clutch. As soon as I found it and tested it's move set I was like oh yeah this is my weapon.

If you're gonna use the Twin Dragon Sword, I'd look to specialize in doing perfect guards and add P-Organ abilities that help bonuses for perfect guards like the repair durability for perfect guards (since the Counter charge attack also counts as a perfect guard) on phase 6. I'd switch arm of god amulet to Conquering Amulet, then switch the Legion Magazine effect enhances to throwable increases (never sleep on throwables even if you're specced to motivity or technique, they're still OP). Then again, I'd rather have a secondary legion arm like falcon eyes (for an extra ranged damage attack) or Left Arm of Steel (to break through enemy guards/blocks) over a second weapon.

My build as follows (NG+ only): technique and motivity. Proof of Humanity as weapon (does crit dmg and high base dmg). Amulets: Arm of god amulet, puppet destroyer (depending on enemies), extreme modification, assassin's, patience. Fable art increases crit chance, whetstone increases crit chance =90% crit chance. This build melts like I've never seen before
personally I love using the salamander dagger blade with the rapier handle, its fast damage with flame build-up
I find it disgusting how little damage fatal attacks on bosses do in this game. You're better off running behind boss after stagger and use heavy charged attack.

Use p organ. There are several upgrades that help with fatal ATK.
That's true but fatal attacks also remove their current hp regen, which I find comes in handy more often than not
I usually do fatal attack with p organ upgrades then do fable as they are getting up

Love this build, used it during my playthrough! Almost to the T honestly kinda scary, only difference is by the time i finished my NG+2 I almost had every last P-Organ activated. Minus extra weapon and legion arm slots. And honestly i completely forgot about fable arts after my first day playing so i never used them so i never got the extra fable slot upgrades either

Get extra fabLe slots then use the extreme modification amulet, gives you like a 20% attack bonus, stacked with carcass/puppet, and arm of god and conquering amulet, you can get like 70% attack bonus
I can also raccomand the cook knife handle, natural tecnic scale, sword moveset, little knife weight.. combine any long weapon. Result: hole in the screen
This is cool I also like the booster glave, as for the sword I pretty sure most people like.
I fell in love with the booster glaive as soon as its name popped up when i was in decomposition right next to the future machine. I put the bone saw blade on it for maximum range, destroying any groups of enemies, but the axe is also great
I didnt even bother trying anything else, not even the dragon blade, despite it being the objectively best weapon in the game
I just recently tried the Shovel handle and bone saw blade and it’s amazing 🔥

Since they updated it so that you have rising dodge for free, what node did you replace with that?
Best amulets are extreme modification boosts attack with full fabLe, gives 20% attack increase, plus fuocos amulet can't remember the name but gives attack bonus after perfect guard, it's like a 30% bonus or 50% bonus next hit or something. Could be getting thousands of damage
I do like me some booster glaive handle but I prefer to use to long ass saw as it looks better and has pretty fable charge attack.

It's so annoying that you can only max two boss weapons per playthrough and have to wait until the end of ng+ before you can do another. I just went into ng+ and have enough for one more weapon but can't decide if i want to do two dragon sword, proof of humanity, Covenant spear or golden lie 😁

@@lacesensor3358the covenant spear is probably the best choice it has one of if not the best damage outputs in the game the other choice would be twin dragon sword it’s my favorite weapon and you can get even higher damage output with that but the learning curve is oretty big trying to learn how to parry with the l2 I’m in new game 4 right now I’ve used almost all boss weapons but imo those two are the best I would recommend the covenant unless you want to sweat your balls off with the twins lol

Sooo being very new could I use the booster glaive handle for the early great sword option for a little more damage and range??
Arm of god is tricky. It gives you 15% bonus but only when you score 4 hits almost in a row, which makes it pretty useless on bosses because you can do 1-2 hits only and then you have to evade and lose "combo".

Good video. But im kinda wondered if a actual quality build would be best in the game after a certain stat number say 40 on technique u get almost no returns. But if u make it the handle advance then u can get scaling from strength advance and technique. It would be D for strength D for Advance and A for technique but u get more stat returns imo. I reset my character earlier and went all technique like you and i lost damage output so i switched back to quality. I guess if ur a lower lv its good to go a certain stat only but end game or ng+ idk if it makes sense. Im talking about 2 dragons sword of course btw. Good video especially p organs im sure alot of people out there dont know what to choose especially ng
Advance scaling only helps if your blade has innate element damage like fire or acid. In that case it will raise your fire or acid damage. It dosnt do anything to physical

Why don't you use marauder's dagger and this needle from last boss? you should also use amulet that gives you dmg depending on amount of fable slots you have as it gives 5% for every slot if i'm not mistaken

question: why did you upgrade the charge stagger of heavy R2? twin dragons r2 sucks ass and i suspect you only use heavy r2 on the glave handle to prock the stagger once its available, so when do you actually use R2's to create the staggers? unless you actually spam r2 parry into heavy r2 punishes

Hey bro I’m on phase 5 for p-organs but “Enhance Atk when HP is at maximum” isn’t showing up for me. I have followed all the p organs just like you up until I got phase 5 where that specific one isn’t showing up. What am I missing?

Motivity is more geared towards strength and big weapons

@@Vagabond_FGC technique does offer a bit more speed compared to motivity but it definitely packs a punch. It’s sort of a double edged sword.
in my opinion technique is better cause of the variety of blade/handle combinations. you can use slashing weapons, stabbing weapons, slow weapons that deal insane dmg in a few hits, fast weapons that have crazy dps, access to the best 2 boss weapons in the game (two dragons sword and trident of the covenant), crazy good handles like the dancers curved sword, booster glaive, the very underestimated tyrant dagger etc... the variety is just endless. motivity just doesnt have that. yeah sure police baton handle and explosive pickaxe. much wow very crazy

So my phase 2 doesnt have rising dodge. It is "Retain Guard Regain" where ur rising dodge is. Why is that?
They updated the game recently so rising dodge is a default skill now that doesn’t need to be unlocked

If your main weapon scales with technique then no you don’t need to invest points into motivity unless you want to use motivity scaling weapons

Nah best technique weapon combination/ best weapon is the bone cutting saw blade combined with the dancers curved sword handle it is the only weapon you need for a technique build
Facts
Dancers curved sword hands is where it's at. I use the fire infused greatsword with it forget what it's called but cause of the move set of the handle applys overheat fast asf. I'm gonna try the bone cutting saw
Is it really that good? I haven't tried this combo yet. I beat the game first time with a tech build but I used the frost boss weapon at +3 and I beat the game with that.

There is no Magic build, but in chapter V there is a man that sells infinite throwable objects. That's the Best the game can offer
If You want to deal more elemental damage with the throwable objects then You have to level up advance

In my personal opinion Lies of P was a masterpiece. Lords of the fallen is a bit rough around the edges and needs some work.
Same. Just picked it up since it went on a bit of a sale. LOTF was ok, disappointing bosses, weird story. I think LoP will be completely different experience.

How did you skip over phase 3
Each phase contributes to your overall progression so if you unlock all skills in phase 1 u can skip phase 2 and unlock phase 3

Booster G handle is so good. I almost never use the fable art it has but the move set is so good against most enemies and bosses, I never swap it out. The big pipe wrench is a good substitute until you get that ace head. Comparable in every way and the fable art is actually better if you time it right.
The pipe wrench fable art is insanely strong!
late ik but there is the krat baton handle is actually insane for the wrench and best pick for it
That's my fave combo. Booster glaive handle and big pipe wrench head. I'm on last chapter of NG++ (going for platinum on PS5). I've tried various combos and all the boss weapons but I always go back to this combo in the end.

Not correct. You have to combine technique with critical. Then you will be almost invincible. Yes, it is really great to use two dragons sword, but it ain’t the strongest one, not even close. If you combine your criticals with Trident of the Covenant, then yes, you will have the most powerful weapon in the entire game. 2000 damage with a single quick attack! And you don’t have to wait for the next attack, do another one! Totally melting everything around you so fast and easy. It scales with motivation too. So when your tech around 40, go for motivation and yes you will gain more damage points! Boost it with criticals and that is it!
Proof of humanity is also a crit weapon, and a quality weapon, only downside for me is the long charge attack animation, so definitely will try the trident!
