Yeah Things like this might actually get me to buy the game. I heard it's harder than dark souls with timing and That was pretty much a deal breaker for me. I beat Sekiro and loved it but if something is harder than that, that's a no go for me.

If you've enjoyed souls games before, you will like this game. It's a challenge for sure, but isn't that what this series is all about. Learning and adapting to overcome a challenge.
@@Fast_Freddi3I found Sekiro MUCH harder. I usually struggle (but love) all Dark Souls/ Soulslike games, but am cruising through this so far. Throwables have been the great equalizer for me.
6:45 just a small note, the grindstone doesn't come from this specific collection item. Each collection item unlocks the next tier of his shop, and the perfection grindstone is in his tier three, so you need to grab the other two collection items as well
As in buy them from the store? Even the critical hit one because I have not bought it.
@@dalle5840 As in you need to find and turn in three collection items to unlock it in the shop
@@dalle5840 no as in get the other cases that expand the bots collection, not buy the grindstones, you can buy nothing else in the shop and still get the perfect guard grindstone if you want.
@@dalle5840 No, as in finding all 3 boxes, and not just the 3rd one.
Essentially, every box serves identical function: "leveling up" the shop.
The grindstone is simply available after the shop level ups 3 times.
the Iron Ball Tip to break guard is 11/10

for acid , any enemy with armour such as green monster second phase and laaxia get absolutely melted. one good hint is usually the game gives you the consumables you need otw to the boss, you will see alot of acid materials otw to laaxia for example
humans are vulnerable to acid and second phase green monster is vulnerable to electric because its a puppet
Just to note for that mini boss at 1:30. You can kite him to the upper stairs near the entrance and use the above platforms to initiate a drop attack on him. Makes that encounter so much easier, as its stunned for a couple seconds, long enough for you to get away and repeat the process.
Ahh the old Capra Demon trick! I cant wait to pull that one out of my old Dark Souls strat arsenal again

I had incidentally created an easy mode thanks to the holy sword and building into block regen and block stability.
It is actually crazy to simply hold the block button for a huge combo and _not care_ only to smack them once with the greatsword and get all that life back.
Ludicrously strong and user-friendly for any motility build.
And I was wondering why everyone calls this sword so strong I thought the scythe is way better
Yooo, first video I've watched that's finally talked about how insane throwables are. I've been out here, oneshotting bosses with acid bombs, cluster bombs, and shot puts for 40 hours.

I don't get why people don't understand how ridiculously good the Trident of Covenant is. Every time I see a weapons ranking, it's somewhere in the middle.
Gives you some of the best damage in the game. It's a ridiculously fast attack animation for a big weapon, with the easiest to land charge attack.
Slap on a ridiculous 30% crit rate and you've got a God tier weapon.
I agree. I constantly try to change my weapon but this just keeps being the best. Especially the charge attacks

6:24 That spear thing never realised you could do a multiple nasty attack. My main weapons now are the Bone cutting blade and dancer handle and the murderer dagger both at 10 level
Aegis thing is so game breaking I beat Nameless Puppet on my second attempt. I fought Simon like 50 times lol. Laxaisa also has a crazy phase 2. Romeo was harder on the first phase, literal vacuum cleaner 🤣

So much of it is down to rng isn't it? I beat the swamp monster first time, but the king of puppets and the mad clown nearly made me smash my controller to bits.

Electricity against puppepts/mechanical enemies
Fire against carcasses aka zombies
Acid against humans and modified human
Game tips you with what you what you are going to fight in the near future or near vicinity by giving you patricular items for upcoming enemies. Whenever you find special grindstone, or special throwable like thermite, blitz or acid bottle that means enemy who is weak against your picked up item will appear soon. With that I don't mean drops from killed enemies but pickable items scattered on the map along your way through out your play.

What is the max scaling for the Electric Coil Stick handle. I upgraded from B to A already. But If want to put 2 more advance cranks on it, the preview still shows A instead of S. While the Acidic Spear Handle for example would go from a A to an S?

The Aegis glitch has been patched for a while, so learning the timings to block attacks most efficiently with the shield is needed
Welp, after many trials and tribulations on nameless puppet, some grinding for mats and swapping acidic greatsword handle onto a +10 electric club head, and your low key clutch af hint at the shot put tech (I had read ‘can stagger anyone’ on the item description but wasn’t sure what it meant) I was finally able to clutch the true ending on my first blind run

The only problem I found (in my experience) is that even with the Fury Attack Guard, it still stuns you the same way when you run out of stamina trying to guard normal attacks
So which starting class I should pick? the big sword or balance first if I wanna get this?

Good to have a game I like and make content for :) I'm hoping for more hyper armor as well in an update, but like a lot of things, seems its weapon based, as some do have hyper armor, sometimes in the cr2 end frames, or sometimes the fable art. just comes down to testing which has it and which is worth using
Imo motivity just has a weak early game, I’ve hit the mid game (chapter 4) and my main motivity build is able to hit for 5k+ and one shot most mini bosses while doing massive damage to bosses, and even my secondary build because I’ve been enjoying holy sword a lot still does around 2.5k-3k damage
@whostolemynachos9714 bro how tf you doin 5k damage? I have a plus 5 Frankenstein boss sword with 30 motivity and I only do about 600 to 700 damage per r1
@@deathknight1239 +6 pipe wrench head, krat baton handle with motivity crank for A+ motivity scaling; P organs I have increase fable art damage and enhanced weapon attack when durability is at maximum, and I have the boss amulet that gives you a bunch of bonus attack the more fable art points you have.
Step 1. Electric grindstone
Step 2. Electric Abrasive
Step 3. Use krat baton fable art to buff next attack by 50%
Step 4. Do a 3 charge pipe wrench fable art
It normally does 4-5k lightning damage on its own, but 99% of the time it either full staggers most mini bosses / bosses or puts them within 1-2 hits of being staggered so you get an extra 2k damage from fatal art and charged attack followup.
Pipe wrench head has hyper armour on the fable art. Get a stun, don't execute, pop baton handle buff, triple charge pipe head, 5k damage boss turns into chunks. Ez game.

You can interrupt Romeo's mid phase bs never ending fire attack with a shot put.
That saw blade weapon at right at the beginning, how and where do you get that?
You can use the cannon ball from a distance instead of a charge attack to trigger the stagger amazing for motivity builds that have slow charge times
or use a fable art or legion arm to stagger
I havent found alot on acid weapons acid dagger seems good but needs advance, is it worth it?

Hardest game I’ve ever played and I played some hard games…. And I love it. The atmosphere is perfect.
I find it much easier than dark souls games but also more fun and it's probably one of my favorite games.

Do the throwables scale off advance?
Does the original dex sword have the same parry handle thing?
Also, don't forget: when an enemy is staggered, you can get a couple of hits in from the side before doing the fatal attack! Extra, free damage! You have more than enough time to do this, and it doesn't get them un- staggered (which is a word now)
Actually insanely good tips, especially the aegis tip is literally easy mode. Really wished I knew that the first time through. With how cheap legion magazine are you basiclly have 100% uptime on the perfect blocks.
I’d be shocked if it doesn’t get patched soon. I don’t think it’s good to lean on a crutch like that but do what you have to do I guess

Acid seems stronger against humans than fire. Fire is effective against the corpses.
Makes sense, acid melts weapons durability so it's effective vs humans who use weapons, fire burns away corruption in few puzzles which always appears in corpses infested areas suggesting that fire is the best way to cleanse the zombies.
Acid curved sword blade + dancers curved sword hilt is godly
Can confirm, strafing is busted. I struggled against white lady till I learned strafing right. This has helped me against human NPC dueling enemies and it became quite funny moving forward especially vs the chapter 9 Walker Illusion boss
Is that aegis arm strategy a glitch? Or is it intentional? I would hate for it to be fixed as it makes the game doable for me.

Choose balnance build at the start of the game
Pour all your points into HP
Until you hit vitality 31
Then pour your points into vigor until its 17
Then up motivity and technique by 3
Then capacity by 2
The Pour more into Vitaility
Uograde your favorite weopon
The strat for this build is
Don't get hit in the words of piccolo "dodge"
If you do get hit its cool cuz it did no damage

Throwables are the most Op thing in the game. Combined with your specter, no one stands a chance it seems

The perfection grindstone will probably save my sanity. At the very final boss and just struggling on the second phase. Was starting to think I'd need to respec again, now maybe not.

@@tyler07 yeah I got him. Didn't realize how good aegis was until way too late. I've been using the legion arm that shoots sticky bombs
6:37 Just to let you know this doesn't make all of your blocks perfect guard, just lets you normal block fury attacks (when enemies glow red)

I’m still early in the game - just got to Venigni’s workshop. I started the game with the motivity class. But I’m seeing SO many comments online about how strength builds kinda suck cuz of the lack of poise. Super regretting choosing motivity. But I haven’t even rly leveled it up yet - just focused on HP stamina and capacity so far. Should I just start dumping levels into technique (or advance) instead of motivity? Obv I’m at a disadvantage cuz I started as Strength, but would that still be better than building for strength???
(PS I’m probably NOT doing NG+, so assume this is my only playthrough). Thx for the sick video !
I think that is up to you. You can always respec your stats once you reach that point. It does suck not having poise but if you use the starting handle you can still make use of perfect parry then counter with a charged attack or counter from a strength weapon. So maybe test it out and see how it feels to you. The blitz weapon that you can buy from area 2 merchant is a great weapon as well starting out at least.
I've yet to try motivity but it's not like tech is vastly better. i would say its more weapon based game. tech has some nice options, but lost ark sword or frozen feast, or that corpse axe i heard people swear by seem the go-to. you just have to not attack too much cuz of the slower animations, or solely do running attacks and charged attacks. also, motivity wpns tend to have higher block chance so blocking is more ideal than dodging.
with that said, try out the gs fate handle i mentioned in the video and see if that helps. saw blade+gs handle, or gs blade itself. investing into dmg stats isn't too worth it imo, stam or hp or capacity to get better dmg reduction parts is better if you're getting hit too much
i was motivity until chapter 7 when i respecced just to try different stuff but i was actually doing really well using the krat police baton handle with the booster glaive blade. Quick attacks and really fast charged heavy for when you need to stagger

I thought so too, but remember, you can put the blade of a strength weapon (where damage comes from) on a handle of a dex weapon (where speed on moveset comes from) and make the handle scale with motivity through the motivity crank. Once I did that, game got extremely easy. High damage of strength with speed and moveset of dex. Motivity all the way.
