    Your brain is an organ that’s connected to everything else happening in your body. Most of us never learn how to manage our energy and bodies. Instead, we use drugs like sugar, caffeine, and alcohol to self-medicate and manage our energy and moods. We don’t connect our behaviors and choices with how we feel. Many of us get too little good food, nutrients, light, air, water, rest, sleep, rhythm, exercise, community, love, meaning, and purpose. We’re exposed to far too much poor-quality food, stress, toxins, and allergens. But even if you manage all those things correctly, you still might not be getting the right amount of certain nutrients that support your brain and body. That’s where supplements come in.
    In today’s episode in my series I’m calling Health Bites, I am talking about how to heal our broken brains with the right nutrients. The brain is resilient and can recover and heal when given the right conditions.
    This episode is brought to you by Beekeeper’s Naturals and Athletic Greens.

Thank you Mark for making information like this easy to access. It did save my life and lessen the extreme nature of my suffering. I am currently listening to someone else spreading knowledge with information with healing my back as well. Between the both of you. I was saved twice now from extreme pain. Thank you! Practice self hypnosis. Israel regardie has some great audio relaxation meditations on youtube. If you train just for a couple weeks you will be able to go to sleep easily without doing any meditation. You just need to learn to deeply relax yourself. Helps to follow along in your own thoughts and learn it without a guide. But the guide at first is great and if you need it that's fine too.

    We always hear about not getting enough minerals, vitamins, etc. but what about having too many? Can that be harmful, too? I know my doctor changed the way I take B12 because I had too much, which confused me because I was “told” that your body would just expel any B12 your body can’t use.

      You cannot overdose on vitamin B12…it is an essential primordial vitamin. I’m afraid even many doctors are unaware of how important it is so people end up with unnecessary dementia……..William Murphy, George Whipple and George Minot won Nobel prize for their work on this vital vitamin.

    • @madeleinebassit1501
      @madeleinebassit1501 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can overdose with vitamins as well, especially with the fat-soluble ones. B12 is water-soluble so it's harder to cause toxicity but keep in mind that everything always is best to be in moderate amounts ♡

  • @nobs3075
    @nobs3075 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I am subscribed and appreciate your videos. I purchase high end supplements that are FROM whole foods, as I used to get the cheap stuff from Co$tco, until I learned that there are different quality forms of supplements - as you acknowledge. For example; I used to buy Vitamin C, AS Ascorbic Acid. I later learned that that was not a full spectrum Vitamin C and started purchasing it from a quality vendor that shows it as such - FROM Acerola Cherries.
    My point is that most supplements, as I have researched, that say AS are synthetic/synthesized, whereas the supplements that say FROM are from natural food sources. I don't believe this applies to minerals. I noticed that the AG1 link shows their supplements as being AS and not FROM.
    I told my Dr. recently that I was taking Vitamin K; MK7, with my D3 supplement, and he told me that I shouldn't take it, because it is a coagulant and can cause blood clots. He even went so far as to tell my pharmacist to advise me to take low dose aspirin when I came in to fill a prescription. Again, my research, via other doctors on TH-cam state just the opposite; that Vitamin K1 is plant based and IS a coagulant. Vitamin K2; MK4 is synthetic and Vitamin K2; MK7 is bacteria derived and is NOT a coagulant. What was presented is that the MK7 version actually helps de-calcify/unblock arterial plaque, ensuring that osteoclast cells are formed in the veins, instead of osteoblasts. I'm thinking these cells are a very limited form of stem cell (for lack of better description) and can become one or the other. I also read/heard that the MK7 version is beneficial for Osteoporosis or Osteoarthritis - I'm not sure which, as I don't have either
    Also, I take only the DHA portion of Omega 3 and not the EPA. Again, I have heard that the DHA is what has been found to be good for the body, where the EPA is more of a filler, so to speak, and can be extracted to only get the best benefits from Omega 3. This is one of those issues where untangling so much information is difficult. I also have Omega 3 with both EPA and DHA, but the DHA is about 3 times the dose of EPA. I give that to my wife, as I love sardines, eat them regularly and my wife finds them repulsive. More for me. LOL
    I am certainly no doctor, but there is so much information out there it is difficult to filter through it all. Any thoughts on the above, even in a supplemental video, pun intended, on supplements in general is always welcomed and appreciated.
