    All the PRACTICAL Advice from the video (To save your time) :
    1) Try to experience "PAIN" before the "PLEASURE" AND NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND
    2) AVOIDANCE (or "Dopamine Detoxxing") OF DOPAMINE-INDUCING-ACTIVITIES = GOOD. Takes 4 weeks
    3) Create Barriers to those Dopamine-Inducing Activities so that you don't do them and to create friction.
    4) Boredom is good. Resets dopamine and unleashes creativity.

    This is the best non-guilt inducing video on dopamine (detox) i’ve seen, Ali! I noticed a couple weeks ago that I was really in this addictive cycle of watching TH-cam videos for hours in the morning, and then I’d have no energy/motivation to work on my business. It’s been powerful to put limits around that dopamine cycle by reinstating a good morning routine and setting rules for myself around what I can and can’t watch in the morning before work. And now I’m working on my own TH-cam channel instead, which is what I actually want! Thanks for sharing.

    I have a problem where, when I know I need a day off because I'm crashing, and I actually take it, I feel terrible about it the next day and don’t feel motivated enough to get back to work. As a result, one day off often becomes three days off. Then, I become motivated to get back into the rhythm, but by then, I'm already three days behind where I should have been.

    hello, if you don't mind, please make a cortisol breakdown video just like this one....i was really helpful to hear you explain this dopamine thing in detail and i personally need a similar explanation with stress because i heard somewhere that some stress is beneficial for productivity but not all stress is beneficial......and also controlling can be helpful

Very eagerly waiting for your free focus crash course to improve my condition, insha'Allah. May Allah bless you for providing the free resources and efforts for progressing in my hard times, sir.

    Would LOVE to see something like this with ADHD taken to account! The baseline level for us is a lot more irregular if I remember my reading right, (I may not be), but for instance, the rule of boredom is both my favorite and most challenging for me due to the ADHD. I’m frequently bored but it ends up almost being painful because of the lack of consistent non-spiking dopamine. Seeing as our system is fundamentally different in how we exist with irregular dopamine levels, I’d really like to learn if there’s ways outside of medication that can help us with addictive behaviors.

    My Opl are my parents😅. They switch off the wifi at 11:00 pm. I uninstall my Instagram and Pinterest when I'm too distracted, which greatly helps. I read somewhere yesterday that our dopamine drops if we get things or achievements we want, but it wasn't clear to me. You explained it really well. THANK UU SO MUCH FOR SUCH AN INFORMATIVE VIDEO.

    That was a great explanation! Slow COMT gene mutations can create a huge issue with high tonic dopamine as the body breaks it down too slowly. I'm researching this for my ADHD kids and have improved my intermediate COMT so it doesn't become slow and was able to stop my ADHD meds with vitamins and minerals instead. These are great tips to add into our plans.

    • @21972012145525
      @21972012145525 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      What does COMT stand for

    • @mama_chelle
      @mama_chelle 6 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @21972012145525 In humans, the COMT (Catechol-O-methyltransferase) gene encodes a protein that is involved in metabolizing various catecholamine neurotransmitters. This includes neurotransmitters such as dopamine, epinephrine, and norepinephrine. Some COMT gene variants (among others) have been associated with ADHD. MTHFR is another that's recently been getting talked about a lot but following the advice of anyone that say, "just take a methyl vitamin instead" is like playing roulette if you have COMT gene variants as well.
