I think that seasonal severe weather should be taken into account when recommending an area to settle into.
McKinney has 220,000 people. Not a small town imo. It is also a long way from being easily affordable

NONE of these cities (except for possibly Fredericksburg) are anywhere close to being small towns. Most are not that affordable for the average person.
