My father took me to 80% of all these cool parks and attractions when I was younger; he knew where to find the best of everything for kids. I’m 18 now, so childhood wasn’t *that* long ago for me, and little has changed in these places. This guide is like watching an old home video that I don’t remember being filmed. Thanks for making this!
Tons of wonderful places to visit and re-visit. Very thorough and detailed to the brim. I think the only teenie mistake is at 10:55, where you're highlighting Memorial Park but the image shows the Japanese Garden in Hermann Park. Great job, sir! Love it!
I loved your video; so much so that I liked and subscribed to it. I lived in Houston from 1978 to 1984. When I retired, I moved back to Houston in 2015, and have lived here ever since. I have visited many of the places you have mentioned. I also learned of 2 that I will have to check out: Kenny & Ziggy's deli and Herman Park. You mentioned that viewers comment on future cities and towns to visit. I would like to suggest 2 or 3. These are: 1st. Barrow Alaska, 2nd. Dead Horse & Prudo Bay Alaska.
This was freaking awesome. I had really been struggling to figure out what to do when we are in Houston twice in Sep/Oct heading over from NZ. Both my wife & I will be having our 40th birthdays there nearly 4 weeks apart... we can't wait! Thanks.
The video clips and photos are amazing! And learned something new. Those bridges have names? 😂 used to run buffalo bayou park over them and had no idea. We really do have some of the best parks!
Wow, this was the best city review/ things to do video I ever watched!! …And I’ve watched plenty! Very detailed! Thank you! Will definitely be recommending your channel to family and friends.
When in Galveston, don't miss the ferry to Port Bolivar and back. Park in a parking lot and walk on. Otherwise you'll have to wait in a long line to drive on.
It looks like you just made this video for me.. Mind blowing so much detailed information bro.. I appreciate your work going to visit Houston in 10 days to visit my friends after 4 years. Yes I Subscribed cause your work is worth it and going to share too thanks men..
So much information on such a large metropolitan area well done. Flip the switch on climate and do a city in Montana. I suggest White fish and Glacier National Park.
Houston is really amazing ❤️ As a South American I'd really like to visit that wonderful city or even better: move to there for a job, a place to live, get married, rent a little building in order to set up a church (I'm a pentecostal church pastor) and raise my children. South America is getting worse day by day so I'm sure this part of the continent doesn't have a future!
Cool presentation of my hometown, thank you. But uh...you're literally wearing an 8th Wonder shirt and don't bring them up? Also check out Joystix, City Centre as a whole, Truluck's, my favorite dive bar The Hideaway & Capital Grille
Galveston is so beautiful at night despite people always bashing how murky the water is&& tht Florida beaches or better, blah blah blah But One thing Florida beaches doesn’t have sitting on it’s coast is a pleasure pier which is absolutely gorgeous at night And as I would always tell people all beaches look the exact same at night#PitchBlack
Average January low is 45. But it’s average because some nights will be 60 and random nights will be 30’s sometimes high 20’s. I’ve been to the ice skating rink they keep it well maintained. It can be fun but it’s little and can get packed LOL.
I was born and raised in Houston in '72... Then moved to Dallas in 2010 where I'm still now. I'll finally be moving back this summer for good. 14 years in the Big D. Dallas has next to zero bar and club entertainment. So many people have come from California down here because they thought they would be much less expensive than up there....huge lie !!!!!.... Dallas is so f****** expensive to live in it's not funny. Yes the weather is better as far as air quality, it is nice and hilly, traffic's not too bad. BUT ...... THE PEOPLE ARE EVEN MORE SNOBBY THAN BEFORE. I do miss Houston and all the things mentioned in the video. He left out the world famous ( #Numbers ) nightclub. as the premier place to go on Fridays if your into 80s music with an industrial, Goth, synth pop scene. Can't wait to move back ❤
This is the biggest city in the fricken "U dot fricken S. Wow just big stacks of wow. This is for real for real the city of the future and the biggest city of the future. Just insane and big time insane.
This is an excellent overview of the city, but I almost turned it off at the beginning because of that cringe “Houston, we have a…” quote. Definitely the most effective way to get groans and eye rolls from Houstonians. Anyway, thanks for giving Houston its due. Not often seen on TH-cam. My only other quibble is the recommendation of House of Pies. They are definitely not what they were in their “House of Guys” glory days. I once sat mere feet from Sister Mary Boom Boom of the infamous San Francisco drag nuns group Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. Anyway, some of the pies are downright awful, as can be the food. Under NO CIRCUMSTANCES should the key lime pie be ordered. It’s a dyed-green gelatinous abomination.
I’ve lived in Houston for 20 years, I didn’t know half of these places existed! Thanks for doing this. Houston is such an underrated city. 😎
As a former Houstonian, you nailed it with this video! Great attractions and food choices, definitely made me feel nostalgic!

Nerdy ahh person
Only thing I would add is the to check out Chinatown / Bellaire. Such a unique area of town.

Thank you so much for mentioning the chopped and screwed music. A lot of videos skip over the urban culture when reviewing the H ❤❤❤
Great video, good job.

I was really hoping you mentioned Turkey Leg Hut and you didn’t disappoint 😭❤️❤️
Hope everything’s been going well since the owners got divorced 🫣

Pros about Houston: lots of Fishing access, sun, and friendly/but not nosey people
Which is better: Houston or Chicago?
SUPER!!
This video autoplayed and I was not prepared to see Jacob from my art class in HS.

Hello Tyler
how are you doing today?
How can Houston have an outdoor ice rink when the lowest it gets in the winter down there is 60°? Lol.
It’s the Energy capital of the world, they find a way
Average January low is 45. But it’s average because some nights will be 60 and random nights will be 30’s sometimes high 20’s. I’ve been to the ice skating rink they keep it well maintained. It can be fun but it’s little and can get packed LOL.

You did make Houston look way more interesting than other videos. You just made everything seem far though.
