CRTs are definitely the best way to play old games, they just look nicer, have zero input lag, they’re nostalgic, they are fun to mess around with, I used to do this on a modern flatscreen before I discovered CRTs and quickly learned that they just look so sloppy and pixelated on them. Really the branding is not as important as people may think, as long as the set has a good clear picture, it will always look great for retro games.
Yeah I've seen some random brands that look stellar - like a Sylvania CRT for example. Definitely superior over playing them with lag on a newer HDMI screen!
@@JaWaynethey make Component Cables for retro systems mainly those that have RGB natively which converts it into YPBPR which Component Cables use, they also sell male to male Component Cables which you can use your Component DVD players
That's a great deal! 10 bucks is a steal. I actually ended up selling this for $140! I love to use them for awhile then sell them to retro gamers - and I've been keeping 3 of my favorites.
Thanks, glad you like the video! And yeah, it's the 32's little homie. It'd be neat to find all of the Toshibas that were produced in that style with various sizes - not sure what all they made! I heard the 5 in the model number 20AF45 means the year, so 2005 and obviously the 20 is the 20" screen. Not sure what the 4 would be.
Those are component cables and they give the image just a bit more detail than the typical composite (RCA) cables. It works great for the PS2 before HDMI came into the picture. I don't know a whole lot so not sure if I can go on much more than that haha

Some HD retrovision component cables will smartnet thing right up if the TV has the input.
Interesting - a lot of those words I don't know haha - and this is my first time to use the component cables. The PS2 looks great with them.

@@smasherjosh5000 That's awesome to know! Thanks for the info as always Josh
Wow, I forgot how hard some of these games went. That MK:SM sequence is better than some of the films.
Yeah, that sequence was crazy. I've never played that game before, it looks super dope and I was thinking I need to do a play through sometime!

Thanks for the upload. Why has the ps2 so many cables like the green one?
