    For Blender version 3.2 > I noticed a bug for which the water surface does not display correctly. If you go to the wireframe-view mode, you can see that the ripples are created correctly, so the underlying geometry is correct. But the normals are not recalculated for the surface, so we get an erroneous outlook in the solid view mode. Fortunately I discovered a simple fix for this. For the canvas object, in the modifiers tab, you'll find a Dynamic Paint modifier added by Blender. Add a simple deform modifier after this. You can use any of the four options like twist or bend etc. but enter zero in the angle/amount field. So effectively there won't be any change in the shape but the normals will be recalculated. Now the ripples will display correctly. If you use any other modifier that forces the recalculation of the normals, the ripples will display correctly. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. I'll report it to the developers team.

      Oo dang, does this mean that this is the problem that I been having? I been trying to render animation my dynamic paint but in render output the wave is just not working, the surface just stay static. But when I try to render only an image, the wave will be shown, but not working on animation... I been trying to find the answer but didn't find any until I get to this channel... sometimes when the render don't work not showing the wave, I cancelled the render and i go back to the viewport and I played it inside blender the wave animation is just not working until I hide and rehide the brush object, then it will work again on the viewport, but still it wouldn't work again everytime i tried to render as an animation.

    Excellent tutorial. Very simple process. It works perfectly with Blender 3.0 rendered in Evee. I tried this in 3.2 stable and it does not work well rendered in Evee but it seems to be working fine when viewed in wire frame. I tried on two different computers with same result. Must be a setting I'm missing.
    Thank you for this and your other tutorials; they are ALL amazing!

      Sorry for the late reply. I noticed this too and it seems to be a bug in 3.2 version. Hey, amazing as usual, Jeet. To show rain drop, is it simply , not to click rendered tab in outliner?

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you Sumit 💝 I did not get your question though. Do you mean to show the emitter & the particles, Or not to show them? In the outliner, you have render icon, the rendered tab usually refers to the rendered view that is available in the header or footer area. Please tell me what you want to show or not show.

      @@5MinutesBlender I wana show rain drop also

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Ok, so you have to enable the render option in the outliner. But assign a transparent material to the emitter object, or place your camera such that the emitter is outside the camera view. Coming to the raindrops (particles), you'll get the white balls as visible in the viewport. You can assign a different object for them (go to the particles tab, go to rendered view, switch to object option and assign another object there). You can setup this object as an elongated sphere, with water-like material. That's it. You may also want to hide them after they hit the water surface. You can do this by assigning a suitable value for the lifetime field in the particles tab. Having said that, in our experiment, it did not yield a very realistic output. Theoretically it is perfect, but it just does not look like realistic rain. I am still trying to guess what happens when we see rain. It is not just physics, it has to do with our perception as well which we need to reproduce. That is the reason we titled this video as "raindrops" instead of "rain". We will come up with a separate tutorial on actual rain, when we attain that perfection.

    I forgot to ask how do you get the scene world to show up in final render when you untick it? I rendered it out but didnt show up like it does in the viewport.

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  ปีที่แล้ว

      It won't show up in the render, that enabling/disabling button is only for the viewport. We have to separately enable HDRI environment for the render. We did not cover that in this tutorial because it will be a repetition of the same thing we did in several tutorials. You can check 👉 th-cam.com/video/JUhq6cHTuOE/w-d-xo.html for this (additionally, you can also check HDRI Shadow tutorial from 👉 th-cam.com/video/3bQ539wDVGo/w-d-xo.html if not already watched).

    Now how to add the splash? Can we use some 2D planes with splash animation in it but how to put it?

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We have a plan to create realistic raindrops with splash effect, but not yet started on that. I am not sure how we can incorporate a 2D animation into this scene. But once we are ready with our test setup, we will create a tutorial on this.

    Is it possible to create this on cylinder?

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  ปีที่แล้ว

      Which one do you want to change to a cylinder.... the water plane? That is technically possible, but I am not sure if it will look realistic, because a water body cannot take a cylindrical shape I believe 🤔

    • @5MinutesBlender
      @5MinutesBlender  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@arsen5479 It will work for a cylinder which is flattened out, but you need to ensure proper subdivisions. By default, if you try to subdivide a cylinder normally, it does not subdivide its upper and bottom faces. So ensure that you subdivide them first. Then it will work. If you think the subdivision is done correctly and it still does not work, please send your blend file to us at 5minblender@gmail.com so that we can investigate it. Thanks!
