Hello Grant. I watch most of your videos and a MFT user (mostly Lumix.) I do not make a lot of comments on TH-cam videos, but I just want to apologize for the yahoos who leave nasty, hateful comments. Disagreeing with someone and leaving a considered comment is more than okay. But trashing someone for their "looks,' background, or perceived otherness is out of bounds. Anyway. Take care. Peace.

Agreed. I deleted and blocked from the very beginning. What I’ve found as I progress into old codgerhood is I care less and less about what folks think of me. But when I get a hate comment, I’ll click through to the hater’s channel and more often than not find they’ve never put up a video. So they’re here just to spew hate.

Really good advice there. I’ve been on the receiving end of some and I soon learned the delete-block routine.
Key thing to remember, as you point out, massive majority of comments are peaceful and constructive.

Just enjoy 'Photography' & ignore the haters ok. Those people can't even afford to buy a used film cameras. Enjoy the tips from Grant just keep on shooting....pictures not haters.

I don't even use MFT anymore,although I do shoot Lumix FF and sometimes a channel just clicks with you, and this is one of them.
It's like sitting listening to your mate, than a salesman.
Like you said, give them nothing to feul the hatred, the haters hate not getting a response.

As soon as you get hate then you are doing something well. Do what you do best and keep on doing it.
Look, I love your channel. Micro four thirds needs the kind of support you are giving. Just to add to the conversation. I have made comments on other channels that have been taken the wrong way. I asked an honest question once and the guy blocked me because he thought I was being negative. Sometimes people can be too quick to judge something as negative.
Doesn't cost to be thoughtful and kind; even if you don't take to someone
Haters are the ones with issues, keep up the videos, inspired me to dig my D90 out. A vid on micro sd vs sd would be good, ive been using micro sd works well in D90 and D3300
You will always ROCK in my book...I think Its OK to dislike a particular camera or lens...but its defineatly not OK to dis a person personally. for presenting his views on any matter..Cheers

Some very sad people out there Grant. I think you are a fabulous photographer with a great eye and you always manage to create images with real atmosphere. Regarding the latter, I'd love to see how you post process your images because I am sure I am missing a trick there. All the best Rich

Hi Grant, your attitude towards haters is very convincing. The problem is, haters are producing negative feelings, and that is something not everybody can cope with in a self confident way like you!

I noticed the negative comment someone made in your last video and since then you have created another video basically using the theme of your reply to them, which is flipping things to a positive so well done.

Wow…thank you for making this video…I started getting a little bit of hate when I started giving my story about how Viltrox speed boosters killed two of my LUMIX cameras (and all I have is a TH-cam short about it) so I really know what you’re talking about. I had to reaffirm that my goal is to just help people with the best information I can give, based on my experiences, and then let go of arguing with people (not good or fun to do, I learned)…So, if we keep doing the best we can do to provide our best information and keep being honest about when we say something that was wrong, I think people will develop a trust, or at least a willingness to listen and/or consider our opinions, over time😃👍
It is so freeing when you no longer give a rats arse when people talk crap about you. I have found people in the last few years have gotten really hateful. I guess there lives must really suck. I always watch your videos and enjoy the heck out of them. I am glad you will make more videos. More fore me to watch! Keep up the good work Grant.
Couldn't agree more and this is exactly my approach to the trolls.
My view is that if you're not adding to the conversation, you're just making unnecessary noise for attention.

I'll admit I'm still a bit thin skinned I deleted my small amount of content due to rather vicious comments - look I know I'm an old dude (it's literally in my user name), and yes quality was a bit crap, as a person who studied photography not film making this whole video content thing is a new trick I'm learning (again that's the very reason for my user name) ... oh yeah and then the false copyright claim (seriously why would anyone want to claim they owned that piece of crap content I posted... that's one sick self burn)

I think your channel and content is awesome... If it wasn't, I wouldn't follow you. Period. There, I've said it! But I'm quite frankly shocked that you get hate comments. I suppose I shouldn't be, though, as I guess there are such sad people out there that they try to bring other people down to make them feel better about themselves. I'm genuinely sorry you, or anyone, really, have to deal with them. Keep up the good work....

Hey Grant, Sorry to hear you are getting mean comments, so ridiculous. I don’t understand some people. I just found your channel recently and really enjoy it, and enjoy you as a presenter. I am interested in MFT cameras and lenses so I love all the info you share. Also, I was recently in Australia and actually started watching your channel while I was there, so it takes me back there, when I hear your accent. I want to purchase a LUMIX camera after watching your videos, just can’t decide between a handful. Oh l did buy a little LUMIX for a great deal, I think, on MPB, just to try it out, it’s the GF3. Anyway, keep up the great work! Thanks!
