    • @alanikee838
      @alanikee838  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@gridselix Yeah, I can understand that. I play VR on PlayStation (first on the PSVR1, and then on the VR2) and it's been a great streamlined experience for me, and probably the most affordable option for high-end VR gameplay. Something to consider, though the headset can be expensive, most VR games are surprisingly affordable, with some of the best not being more than thirty dollars, so the long-term cost does get minimized.

    Yeah, people gripe about combat in NMS, but in VR it is totally different. It's actually pretty darn fun! :) I can't wait to get a headset. I've only gotten to play a few times on a friend's. I had a friggin' moment the first time I transitioned from a planet into space and I was able to just look over and watch the atmosphere line pass by, then the planet fall away... it was so "real" dang.

    • @alanikee838
      @alanikee838  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      I concur 😅 I remember the first time I slowly approached a planet, only to watch this "small" planet fill my vision and stretch out to the horizon. This game is wild in VR. I hope you get your headset soon.

      @@omarguerra1838 Yeah, that was actually a complaint of mine for a while, the lack of difficulty once you reach a certain point of progression. But I must admit, ever since the Worlds update, the game is markedly more difficult. I play with all the difficulty options cranked, and I've actually died more times in the last few weeks than I've died in the hundreds of hours I've played before the update. Though I still wish I could make it more challenging. I may have to start a permadeath run lol Thank you for kind words.

      @@foxmulder7436 When I was a kid, I use to wake up early to watch the Starship Troopers CGI cartoon (it was called the Roughnecks, and yes, I am that old). Each season would be a campaign devoted to a planet. Same bugs, different backdrop. NMS has basically taken that same formula and ran with it; an inconceivable number of planets for my friends and I to run around and find things to shoot. For me, it's the Clone Wars game we never got.

    As an aside to the comments in the video about the flamethrower, there technically is one for the multi tool, but it was only available for like, a day several years ago, as it was in the game unintentionally. A rare few players have them though. You can technically mod it into your game on PC, but on consoles, players who have them are rare. I have used the expeditions to copy mine so i have a couple, but as i learned they can't be traded sadly

      That's a good point. I usually lean more towards the Pulse Spitter because it feels like a proper assault rifle. I should attempt another shotgun build. It's the reload time that kill me with the shotgun, but with the right mods, I could make a proper Doom build.

I do enjoy fighting the Sentinels on the dissonance planets, because they don't stop after five waves; they don't stop at all. Now, the latest rumors from the recent datamining have revealed a potential "purple" star system that may have completely new flora, fauna and enemies, so fingers crossed. Landing on planets and exploring, examining stuff, getting in my ship, landing on a darelict freighter and have some tension in my game, after looting a bit i fly to a space station for some beers and talking to the locals. If you clear all the waves of sentinels does that rid the planet of sentinels totally? Is there a way to clear a planet of sentinels and they dont come back?

    • @alanikee838
      @alanikee838  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Totally? Not really. If you clear all the waves of the Sentinels, then they will be disabled on the planet until you reload the game from a restore point. If you're looking for a way to clear them quickly, you can go straight to a Sentinel Pillar and disable their forces directly, but that'll only last only you reload the game. The dissonance Sentinels never stop attacking; they'll continue spawning regardless of how many waves you endure. Thank you for watching.
