      I have to follow this up. This is a total scam company. I never received the printer. It said on the page that the printer will arrive in 4-6 days. After about a month not seeing the printer I asked them if they're going to send it at all and if not then return the money. They immediately canceled the order and said that they will refund in a few days. After a week not seeing the money I had to file a dispute in Paypal. I think their plan is to get the attention by offering things they don't have any intention providing and lure as many people to order the printer and try to keep the money with any means possible. Qidi = Cheady. STAY AWAY!

    Finally got mine. This vid was helpful, I didn't realize I needed to calibrate the bed (it mentions upon loading it up to call them, but aint nobody got time for that...), so I did just autolevel and input shaper, not realizing that the bed calibrate was for the Z-offset. Wish they renamed it tbh.
    I'm coming from an OG Ender 3 "v1" that I've swapped to a direct drive, slapped a PEI bed onto, and converted to klipper along with a SKR mini E3 v3 board. Luckily I'm already somewhat familiar with Klipper.
    I just did my first layer print and it looks fabulous minus a tiny issue about the size of a golf ball where it looks like it wasn't quite close enough. Not sure how to address that yet. Don't know if I should try to up the flow rate just a tad, or maybe try to adjust the squish on that side a bit. Will probably try another layer again with PETG or ASA after a bit of adjustment and see how it goes.
    I don't think its the perfect "first machine" but I think its an amazing second machine for someone looking beyond the basic bitch PLA entry level printing. It offers just about everything I could want in a 3d printer that's under $1000 so far.

    • @NoizieWorks

      That problem area, is it at the front or a corner?

    • @Munky332
      @Munky332 2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      its at the front, front right, just behind and inside of the bed screw. I did the bed calibration again and it still seems like its there, but not as bad as my first print. I haven't dialed in flow yet tho, and I probably need to increase squish a bit more or something.

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  2 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @Munky332 had the same issue and with mine it's the bowden tube being a bit to short making the filament entrance a bit to tight. Replaced it and perfect layers. You can see it in my review from a few days back.
      Ow yeah, you can't set a different flow for first layer or it's in gcode but you shouldn't have to 😉

    • @NoizieWorks

      They are not the typical volcano as the nozzle in the Qidi is slightly smaller but you can get them from the usual aliexpress sources.

    I keep coming back to this review. Originally to help me decide which printer to buy, and now that I just received my Q1 Pro, for info on printing tips. I am amazed by the performance you got with TPU. I just looked at the stock TPU profile in QIDI Slicer 1.1.3 and it seems that the speed settings are the same for PLA. Did you use QIDI Slicer and/or adjust the TPU settings for the Toaster print. If so, would you share your info. Also, this is my first Klipper printer. I and I am sure many others could benefit from a short video on the QIDI Slicer and Its Klipper UI.

      Thanks for the suggestion bud!
      It's not going to be soon just ripped out half the studio.
      Speeds are the same only thing is that tpu will have a lower max flow so basically speed get locked once flow reaches the max you set.
      I changed it from i think it's 4 to 10mm³ that gives you about 130mm/s. You can find it under filament settings advanced.

    They left out the LAN rj45 port, but the MB still has a spot for it.
    For the changing IP address, you'll need to tell your router to reserve a fixed IP.
    Why a stepper on each bed screw? The plus3 only has 1 with belts.

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      For the IP address, it's not because of dynamic ip settings. It just garbles something on there not making sense with a quick reboot it's back to normal.
      I have a feeling my config is borked in some way as i get timelapse warnings that no other reviewer seems to have.
      With 2 steppers you can adjust for tilt with a belt you can't unless you "skip teeth" or loosen a pulley like the K1.

Once that was done I successfully flashed it two more times and got to the latest, 4.4.16. Then I've manually leveled the bed, ran auto level then printed a first layer test with ABS and it came out almost perfect. I printed some other tests then I was off to production. I've since printed all the parts for a 4 spool dry box and assembled it. Now I've got 5 spolls locked and loaded. It wasn't looking good for awhile but Gidi Tech support stuck with it and I've now got an excellent printer cranking out parts.
