    Finally got mine. This vid was helpful, I didn't realize I needed to calibrate the bed (it mentions upon loading it up to call them, but aint nobody got time for that...), so I did just autolevel and input shaper, not realizing that the bed calibrate was for the Z-offset. Wish they renamed it tbh. I'm coming from an OG Ender 3 "v1" that I've swapped to a direct drive, slapped a PEI bed onto, and converted to klipper along with a SKR mini E3 v3 board. Luckily I'm already somewhat familiar with Klipper. I just did my first layer print and it looks fabulous minus a tiny issue about the size of a golf ball where it looks like it wasn't quite close enough. Not sure how to address that yet. Don't know if I should try to up the flow rate just a tad, or maybe try to adjust the squish on that side a bit. Will probably try another layer again with PETG or ASA after a bit of adjustment and see how it goes. I don't think its the perfect "first machine" but I think its an amazing second machine for someone looking beyond the basic bitch PLA entry level printing. It offers just about everything I could want in a 3d printer that's under $1000 so far.

    • @Munky332

      its at the front, front right, just behind and inside of the bed screw. I did the bed calibration again and it still seems like its there, but not as bad as my first print. I haven't dialed in flow yet tho, and I probably need to increase squish a bit more or something.

      @Munky332 had the same issue and with mine it's the bowden tube being a bit to short making the filament entrance a bit to tight. Replaced it and perfect layers. You can see it in my review from a few days back. Ow yeah, you can't set a different flow for first layer or it's in gcode but you shouldn't have to 😉

    I have had this printer for close to 2 months and there are some small issues true, but it’s a very reliable printer once you get through the teething issues. On the filament runout sensor it needs to be turned on in fluidd. Seems like it should be on by default but it’s not. Ever after talking to Qidi Tech support they never mentioned that to me. It’s in the setup section and it’s called “fila” right at the bottom of the page. Not sure if you have been told or not but just in case thought I would mention. The camera is a mystery to set up but I just set about the camera config file and activated almost all relating to web camera setting and both time lapse and app now work. I’m on iPhone iOS but I’m not sure how I did it to be honest. Again no one had that info from Qidi Tech. They are helpful in general but it’s early doors with this printer so maybe once they fully understand the setup themselves it will be less of an issue in the future.

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi dude, i'm totally aware of the sensor not being on i talked about it in the first look. Mine just isn't relaible, it works after you pause the print and push the runoutsensor in a few times so maybe i just have a bad sensor. They also seem to not have a clue how to fix my camera issue, i did fail to mention that you need to add a line of code to your slicer start gcode to make it work. TIMELAPSE_TAKE_FRAME, if i do this the console gets mad every layer and says take frame ignored because.... just those little things but like you mentioned the printer itself is a chefs 💋

      @kerwalker4246 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@NoizieWorks ah, yes you did mention in the first look. I recall now. Yeah, Qidi are very helpful but there is a learning curve going on for sure. Get them to send you out a new extruder drive to sort the sensor out? I had a camera that was dead on the first week and they shipped out one to me the following day without any issue. Maybe the solution. Do you need a copy of the camera config file that works (i.e. from my machine) to see if it sorts out your camera issue? Happy to send if needed.

    I keep coming back to this review. Originally to help me decide which printer to buy, and now that I just received my Q1 Pro, for info on printing tips. I am amazed by the performance you got with TPU. I just looked at the stock TPU profile in QIDI Slicer 1.1.3 and it seems that the speed settings are the same for PLA. Did you use QIDI Slicer and/or adjust the TPU settings for the Toaster print. If so, would you share your info. Also, this is my first Klipper printer. I and I am sure many others could benefit from a short video on the QIDI Slicer and Its Klipper UI.

      Thanks for the suggestion bud! It's not going to be soon just ripped out half the studio. Speeds are the same only thing is that tpu will have a lower max flow so basically speed get locked once flow reaches the max you set. I changed it from i think it's 4 to 10mm³ that gives you about 130mm/s. You can find it under filament settings advanced.

    no need to apply gloop on the outer surface. thats just wasted material & the amount of product you put is ridiculous but if you’ee going for broke then you achieved it my friend. i tested the pla gloop on full size helmets and applying it on thin 2mm edge & just on the layer that gets into contact was already a solid connection that won’t fail unless its broken on purpose. once its connected, it literally melts and molecularly bonds so the excessive amount even on the outer surface was just wasting it but for a video i can see it was best case scenario. i just hope you’re not doing this to every part you want to glue together

    thanks for the review, would it be possible to share the STL file for the riser

      It's a very bad riser with bad tolerance so i would look for somewhere else.

    Unfortunately DIY PERSPECTIVE just showed today that weight is not indicative of proper melting and adhesion drops way faster than flow

    Video idea - see if the Sunlu clear ABS-like is stronger than the grey or black. I ask because nearly all professional engineering resins are clear for two reasons. One is that pigments weaken them. Two is that they cannot cure as deeply.

    Do you think it will be possible getting a review of the Wargamer by FauxHammer resin? I just found out the are selling it in the US now and it had my attention for a while for claiming to be the exact same quality as the manufactured minis you buy in store. I'm really curious how it will compares to actual store bought minis and the Jang He art-engineering resin that you sold me on.

      They did a livestream explaining that the seams of the heater body are enough for moisture to get out. They added extra holes in that base just for the looks
