5 Minute Debate | Azerbaijan V.S. Armenia: Who Has Greater Rights Over Nagorno-Karabakh? Simplified

From the Persians to the Turks to the Armenians, Karabakh has seen its fair share of ethnicities throughout the millennia. Recently, the territory has become the center of conflict between Armenians and Azerbaijanis, who both lay claim over the region.
This is not the first time the two nations have exchanged blows, however. In 1988, Armenia and Azerbaijan fell into a large scale war over the territory, leaving many fearful that today’s skirmishes might develop into something much more devastating.
But why are Armenia and Azerbaijan fighting over this territory in the first place? Why does this land hold such importance for both nations, and who really deserves it?

This series rocks. This war was started by Armenia 12 of July by attacking Tovuz region where is away from Nagorno-Karabakh. This region is very important for transfering Azerbaijan natural resources to Turkey and Europe.

Armenia clearly won the debate. Also the 2/3 Azeri population was conducted not about Nagorno Karabakh but about other region outside of the territory.
