But what lies ahead and how will it work?

Mandela was deceived by the international friends of the apartheid government to pursue "truth & reconciliation". He was given a noble peace prize & told to shut up. Mandela should have taken that piece of paper & written justice over reconciliation. Until Africans get justice peace will only be an illusion. The past 24 years after apartheid, the white minority have been telling us how badly the ANC wrecked the South African economy. This is just a smoke screen to divert the attention from the real issue "JUSTICE". Africans never got justice.

Imagine having a country where the national bank is individually owned, where over 70% of the economy is in the hands of the apartheid power, that's what Nelson Mandela ended the deal to the so-called independence. 💯. And now all the sacrifices and blood spilled over a free South Africa is wasted because the things fought for are lost. This is a very sad day in South Africa. The NP2.0 is back in power and things will just get worse. We needed revolution not rainbow stickers over a clearly zionist bought government.

You do not have a government of national unity if the society is divided by social classes.
Social classes are like geologic structures. They are never permanent, always changing.
What you have is a government that has become the center ring of a boxing match between the Right and Left through which the social classes express their class interests.
For now there may be a lot in common and compatibility between political parties but behind the veil of unity is the hideous and monstrous face of social and economic inequality has to be dealt with before there can be any sense of national unity.
Unanimity is impossible in societies of different social classes. None of the governing parties are ever going to get a majority to hold for any long length of time for the simple reason that one formula does not fit for all. The best a government can do is be unanimous about not applying generalizations to every particular difference in habitat, community, tribe or socal order. If one county lacks roads and the other lacks electricity the wrong thing to do is nothing.

Maybe now they’re parliament sessions won’t look like a junior high classroom where the teacher has lost control of the students. I used to watch their parliament on TH-cam and it was the most incredible thing I have ever seen in my life. I would very concerned about forming a coalition with the heirs colonialist settlers. What will their position be with respect to continuing to fighr for greater equality in South Africa?
I'm not sure the DA should be commened for running the cape efficiently. Secondly Johannesburg is and was the richest city in Africa, far wealthier than Cape Town. The ANC have managed to sink Jhb down and the DA have lifted Cape Town up.

The reality is that for most South Africans , domestic issues are top of the list , the middle east conflict did not shape voting patterns in South Africa, just the same as the high levels of corruption and crime in South Africa would not affect presidential elections in USA.

Given currently there are three major components of DIVERSITY in South Africa dictating the polarities and divergences in political views of governing their nation, is it possible the following conclusion as a political reality of government of any group of human societies??
The three components of DIVERSITY in South Africa are: The 1st group with perspective of addressing the issues of TheWhites, the 2nd group with the perspective to address issues of The Blacks and the third group is the members the group that doesn't identify themselves to the outlook of both sides (The Whites and The Blacks.)
    Conclusion:-
It only takes from 25 to 35 years or maximum of 20 to 40 years for any group (of a nation) to repeat the injustice, bad governance and corruption leading the majority to poverty and its related impacts ( believed to be the driving factor for triggering the the group struggle) after the group triumphantly conquers it's predecessors dubbed to be the causes of their political struggles that brought the change. Meaning, in the case of South Africa, it only took 30 years for ANC to repeat the mistakes and errors that their predecessors (what was called the Apartheid system governance that triggered the evolution of ANC at some point in timeline, T) when we observe what is happening there in South Africa by now (ANC lost trust and legitimacy of it's own constituent members for whom their cause of their political program focused starting from the time when ANC crafted a political party and program to address the interest of the majority of South African societies).
