In one of my playthroughs I opted to keep the alliance with Gortash, but then attack and kill him after he told me to meet him at the Morphic Pool. I then decided not to take his netherstone. It turns out I did not need it. My two netherstones united to become a Triune Netherstone once I got to where we were supposed to find him.
Even on easy mode saving all the gondions in the foundry is probably the hardest task in BG3 as they always run into the steel watchers explosion radius

@@marcnolan2409 you can use dimension door to teleport them away :) or telekinesis if you’re not concentrating on other spells!

Tbh. Hard to justify alliance with him anyway.
And his boss fight is easy if you both take out his minions and empowering features of room first.
