Karlach is the one that most breaks my heart, because she seems so hesitant to do it. And the way she talks about wanting to be a force of good in the world is exactly how i would phrase it myself.
I think of Karlach as one of if not the most sincerely good and kindhearted companions in the entire game. Even otherwise good-oriented companions like Gale and Wyll are decent folk but compromised by outlandish ambition and an absolutist outlook on morality respectively. Karlach doesn’t really aspire to anything bad. She doesn’t want to become a god or an ascended vampire or serve as the right hand of a horrible tyrant. Tav can convince the other companions to ultimately see the error of their ways and embrace a kinder path but Karlach never wants any of that. She wants to live free and have the life and choices that were stolen from her by Gortash and Zariel. She is, in many ways, the moral compass of the party.
LEGIT like you expect all the other companions to be sassy so it doesn't hit as hard. But then HALSIN comes out with that absolute scorcher and you're just left STUNNED

The reason I can't have Karlach in my party during an evil playthrough is because the very first dialogue she expressed disapproval with me I have to change my ways.

I got Jaheira randomly right after beating Ketheric. She was just pissed and I dont even know why. So I completly lost the chance to even meet Minsk. Well on my next playthrough hopefully 😢
Something the datamined scene of Halsin & Miinthara fighting points out that Minthara will quickly return to the absolute without you, even if not killed by them I'd assume if the absolute who according to the Visitor has tried to turn you into a mindflayer a few times but the artefact stopped it then it would want to quickly change Minthara too rather than let her serve again.
As Astarion wanted to ascend I tried to convince him not to, completely forgetting my Tav didn't had good Charismatic features 😂. He said what he said and left, a moment of silence and then I was "OKAY WITH MEEEE YOU DIDN'T WANT ME ANYWAY" 😂😂😂
I'm somewhat tempted to make a playthrough where I get as much dissaproval from everyone as I can, to see how many companions I have left until the end. i love how on the thumbnail it says astarion approves when everyone else disapproves. hes literally so contrary lmfao. im almost maxed out with everyone but he is in the orange zone
how can you tell their rating toward you?
@@eternasapphiremoon81 as your own character when viewing the party inventories, i think under character sheet, itll have a bar at the bottom going from orange to green and itll tell you where you stand with them at any given time. active approval and disapproval pops up during dialog at the top left of the screen. some people have a mod that shows them beforehand how a character feels about something you might do or say
I got Jaheira randomly right after beating Ketheric. She was just pissed and I dont even know why. So I completly lost the chance to even meet Minsk. Well on my next playthrough hopefully 😢
So..... they just walk away and immediately turn into mindflayers, I guess?
Not Halsin or Jaheira.
ARTHUR. We NEED the MONEY. Just ONE MORE quest.
Have some GODDAMN FAITH in the ABSOLUTE
May the Oakfather Keep you - for I will not.
This video only affirms how much I love Karlach and Wyll.
Damn, that hurt breaking Karlach’s heart like that. Well, more broken than it already was
Minthara sounds the most hurt especially after the line about being used by God's & Exiled from her city, Girl just wanted a home & a family 😭
The writers are so creative some of the companions' comments are brutal
kind of funny that the protagonist looks like Amber Heard here often - with that in mind the insults are even funnier
nah i would cry, this would literally fuck me up so bad
Thanks, will never see this in my play throughs so thanks
"I'd wish you a bright future, but since you cannot escape your own company, that would be a futile gesture." Daaaaamn Gale!
holy shit how u ppl manage to make yer tavs so ridiculously gorgeous?!
I would need to be a extremely weird character, because some companions like you when you're evil or kill animals (Lae'zel (with the owlbear), Astarion and Minthara), others when you avoid killing (mainly Wyll and Gale) and others when you kill people to rescue someone else (Karlach and Shart). So I really don't know if I can get everyone to leave my party without attacking or killing them.
gales arms look so tiny shrimpy in that robe
How could you! Monster!
