If the steps in this video did not fix the issue the next thing to do would be to call xbox support and speak with someone in hardware.

What happens was my power turned off during a storm, and it won’t turn on at all. I am repeatedly tapping the on button and it makes no since because the tv and other things are able to turn on. Help😭
Snoop it’s probably just the power supply block. You can probably pick one up at game stop and if that doesn’t fix it you can at least return the cable.

This video was actually really helpful! When I moved rooms in my house, my dad plugged the Xbox power supply into a power strip. It worked the first time I turned it on but the second time, i had to rearrange the cords. Thank you!

All, if your experiencing the start up noise, the light comes on and goes off right away do the following.
1. Unplug the power brick to 30 seconds, both to the wall and xbox.
2. Reconnect power supply, and press the power button.
3. Tap eject button 1 time.
It's another way to "hard start" the xbox. If nothing then, press and hold the power button for 30 seconds, and then add the above 1 through 3 steps.

Thanks for the tip. Just unplugging the power cord for 10-15 seconds then plugging it back in and turning it on worked. Wonder what was wrong?
@@BrianBattles these bricks have all sorts of weird anomalies to them. Sometimes they get hot, or dirty, and sometimes a complete power down of the brick helps kick it back in cycle.

@@ogjiggajuiceyt319 Okay so. it’s one of 3 things it sounds like. you could have a fucked up hdmi port. when the xbox can’t sense that there’s a working display system, it won’t turn on. OR a part in your xbox is fucked up. but what it really sounds like is your power brick. you should try buying one and keeping the receipt. gamestop had them for like 40$. or borrow one from your friend and see if ur xbox turns on.

Take all the cables out then it should power up. That said power supply is dying

Make sure that your console have proper ventilation. The console could be overheating. If this is not the case then I would suggest calling xbox customer support and speaking with someone in the hardware department.

Mine turns on but wont let me use my controller and wont show up on my tv, hdmi works fine and controller works fine. Any ideas on what could be the issue?
If you cant see anything on your screen there really isn't to much you can do. I would try replacing the hdmi cord. If it is not the hdmi cord then the next step would be to do a power cycle.
To do a power cycle: You will need to press and HOLD the power button on your CONSOLE until the LIGHT turns OFF. Next you will need to unplug your console from the wall and wait 2 minutes. After the 2 minutes are up restart the console.
If that doesn't work here is a link with instructions on how to do a factory reset on your console. support.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-one/console/reset-factory-defaults-using-usb-flash-drive You should be able to do this even though you cant see the screen.

Did not have to factory reset thankfully, and i power cycled repeatdly to no avail. Thankfully it decided to work

Mine just broke down , i was planning on getting a new one anyway, my question is , if i get a new xbox will i lose my save files from my old system since i have no way of transferring my data?
I know that this is much later but, as long as you get your old account on, you can redownload your games
Either that or take both consoles apart and switch her the hard drives them youll get all your saves and etc
You will keep your safe files if you have the same email and password
If you have the same email and password and if most of everything you have ia DOWNLOADED, like from Online bruh, you should be able to log in on a new xbox, and all your stuff will install on the new one.. you should be good.

For those who need a real fix listen here!!! Unplug except the power. Then turn on your xbox and when you see the light come on unplug it quickly before the light goes of and repeat a few times. Then plug everything back in and if it doesn't work do it again trust me it will work. Xbox one has surge protection so never plug your xbox one in a power bar with surge protection.
