Now that they have experienced what real punishment and power looks like, they are cooperating far better.

I love the 8-fingers lore in the later books, because all of the traume they have experienced how they have a bigger sense of community and care for each other, which is also seen in this scene. They know that in the SK, death is, infact, mercy, and that not being punished at all is basically a gift.

The chapter of the holy kingdom is important cause at the end we know that neia will create a knew religion where ainz ooal gown is worshipped as JUSTICE, and the jugement of Hilma is there to confort those ideas. In the future, there is a high chance that this religion will spread like fire through the testimony of the habitants of the holy kingdom and the member of the 8 fingers. Ainz is likely to be worshipped as a god. Just like the experiment ainz did with the cleric who invaded the underground tomb of nazarick.
I sometimes wonder if Ainz could make people trust him more by explaining some of his actions saying "before I was undead". He could say he or someone he cared about was framed for a crime they did not commit and use it in other situations, potentially making people think he's an undead bent of undoing the wrongs of the world due to frustration at his pre-undead life, or that he's capable of having a sense of morality and so on because he's unlike other undead. Not everyone knows that he's an elder litch, and those that do know would find it more than believable that he is unique in mind and origin if it's the case that elder litches normally forget their pasts or are just especially powerful reanimated corpses. Then again the idea that Ainz wasn't always a supreme being might shatter the brains of some of his underlings in Nazarick.
Knowing how their devotion can put even the most crazy cultists at shame, they probably would justify it and admire him even more as someone who earned Goodhood on his own.
I agree with the whole him trying to justify some of his actions by saying something along the lines of: :"a long time ago even before being the Supreme one I was a human and I still remember what it was like to be man" this would calm or appease to some concerns humans would have and as for his loyal followers, he can pretty much say eating shit gives him a tactical advantage over the enemy and they wouldn't question it at all so they wouldn't care what his origin was only who he is now and what he represents since they all think Ainz chose to stay with them while their creators left.
I'm pretty sure he reached the minimal amount as nobody in the whole series looks up to him. Some of the other nobles in his faction toady up to him because of his relationship with Hilma but they utterly despise him.

I can tell you if we could be forced to tell nothing but the truth crime wouldn't vanish but it would be cut dramatically, most low quality people will still do it because that's all they know, see shiny take shiny, but the major crimes are people who know better. Shame is a really useful tool, knowing you cannot lie and will admit your crime would stop most people cold.
Plus court case would not take weeks just a few hours each. Making the whole system very fast and efficient. The complete opposite of our courts system. Also there would no need for lawyers so it would be cheaper as well.

A go-to example is: killing is illegal; but not always in self-defense Mind control can only establish all the facts - and only if asked properly, and even with certain given facts (like "He killed him") that does not mean someone is necessarily guilty of a crime. In the above example, you would kill the man if you just asked "Did you kill him? - Yes." And you would be doing a great injustice!
I'm just thinking of the Amber Heard case, Amber's lawyers wanted their questions answered in "Yes or No" format which leaves out important context. Did you touch her? "yes/no" Did you touch her in self defense? yes/no Questioning people like this may leave out important information so you have to ask "Did you purposely harm her?" "Did you hold her back to prevent property damage?" (in-case it wasn't in self defense but more to protect property). Real life is usually more complex so we need context so we don't fall into basic assumptions due to bare questions that mislead everyone with part of the truth. Some current law systems don't allow repeat questions so if you accidentally answered something without proper context it can be taken without said context and make your case look worst. Sometimes you can make it up by asking similar questions to allow a sort of redo but it can be in vain if the judge saw it as a repeat.
Well remember, reducing crime is less about whether or not they'll be found guilty in court than whether or not they'll get caught. Ie, not about whether or not a judge will find them guilty but about whether a cop will find and arrest them (in time). A perfect court system is nice, but as far as the effect on crime, it will just change the "crime meta" so to speak towards committing crimes in such a way where there are no witnesses (left) or in ways where the witnesses don't know enough to identify you or even get you involved. To wipe out crime, you'd have to make the certainty that they'll get caught approach 100% rather than the certainty that they'll be found und guilty after they are caught. If the chance that they get caught is 0% the 100% certainty they'll be found guilty if caught doesn't matter, and that will be what criminals exploit. That said things like reanimating victims to make them testify to who killed them or finding a cat or bird or vermin that happened to frequent the town and viewing it's memories (treating it like a psuedo security camera) and hax like that is certainly powerful and hard to plan around.
I was feeling meh about S3 and was debating even watching S4. So glad I did. Really love the world building Ainz is doing with his subordinates. Shows that he wants them to live fulfilling lives. Really good stuff so far.
Its kind of easy since Ainz came from a democracy and Hilma lived all her live in a feudal time where there was nothing but punishment. That makes it easy for him
well ainz world is a bit different there our world in that it is a futuristic dystopia where the environment is completely ruined and there is a huge gap between the ruling rich and the working class. I would argue that his world is not a democracy and more like a crony capitalist dystopia
Remedios is very dumb, she's just self aware of it and differs thought to her sister and subordinates. Philip was never good at any one thing and was never in good terms with his brothers. He is dumb but instead of focusing on any one thing he is good at he deludes himself into thinking he's amazing at everything.
You know the stick really messes with people when given the carrot, others think the person has been mind controlled rather than rewarded. Granted if Demiurge was in charge of the carrot and stick it would probably be a spot on conclusion.
Demiurge is very very capable with the stick, but his idea of a carrot is giving you a warm meal of human soup to eat . Seriously the Holy Kingdom Arc shows just how insanely cruel Demiurge really is. As cruel as Albedo and the others can be, they will at least give you the mercy of death after having their fun; however Demiurge will make sure to keep you alive so that your suffering continues on and on and he can skin you alive over and over.

I'd like to see more of Hilma's development in the story later, she reminds me of another moment in the Novel where the dwarves under Ainz are in a tavern after making runes and some people new in town start bad mouthing Ainz, causing the Dwarves to nearly get into an all out brawl with them to protect his honor.
Philipps lack of commons sense is based on him being the 3rd son which means he lacks the education provided for the 1st and 2nd son, he is basically the “just in case”.
Phillip was destined to be a nobody being the 3rd son of a barely well off noble. He is egotistical and narcissistic to a fault and prioritizes himself above anyone else(I mean, the way he was raised is partly at fault). He thought himself the main character when his eldest brother died in war(he was in the Ktze plains IIRC) and the second dies of sickness. He thinks that Ainz rising to power and destabilizing balance to the world was just the universe giving him a break. He doesn't see the sorcerer kingdom as a threat to his ambitions but a stepping stone to his future glory.
hey in ep 5 Shalltear used Mass Hold Species to grab all the Quagoa in Feo Raidho and then get information from them. the episode ends after they find out that its a force to massacre any escaping Dwarves. what happened to that group of Quagoa? did Ainz have them all killed or did they transport them to Nazarick to use somehow?
Since a majority of people haven’t read any of the novels they didn’t spoil much and there was so much cut it doesn’t really matter tbh it’s season 4 and the way they hack and slice things up are to be expected

I think we 'll see a brief pro ainz underground faction forming, in the very heart of the theocracy. However they justify it to themselves, they got hit.
If you remember, the guild master was going to give Ainz a empty guild hall. Seems if he did have an aura that made people admire him, the guild master would have been enthusiastic about the government absorbing the guild hall. But he did not the entire time and questioned why. When Ainz explained that adventurers are nothing but glorified exterminators, that was a eye opener. What made him admire Ainz was the ideal that adventures could be more than just cock roach killers. It was a new and bold idea or revitalize idea. I think you might be over estimating Ainz abilities a bit like Demeurge 😅
S1 ep2 Shalltear already explained it. Its a fear aura, a passive from being a high tier undead. Shalltear being a major perv found it arousing. Whenever we see in the anime the POV of non nazarick characters you always see the aura, most recent being when he was talking to the Dwarf General.
Not just spoilers but marking 2 LN volume into an 90min means they will only have the equivalent of 4 anime episodes for two whole volumes. They will have to cut out so much just to fit the Holy Kingdom Arc to fit it into a film. I am not looking forward to the film as a result.
I've seen some pointless videos in my time, but this one has to take the cake. if people did not understand her attitude in the show, why would they understand this? Mind control can only establish all the facts - and only if asked properly, and even with certain given facts (like "He killed him") that does not mean someone is necessarily guilty of a crime. In the above example, you would kill the man if you just asked "Did you kill him? - Yes." And you would be doing a great injustice!

"Did you hold her back to prevent property damage?" (in-case it wasn't in self defense but more to protect property).
Real life is usually more complex so we need context so we don't fall into basic assumptions due to bare questions that mislead everyone with part of the truth.
Some current law systems don't allow repeat questions so if you accidentally answered something without proper context it can be taken without said context and make your case look worst. Sometimes you can make it up by asking similar questions to allow a sort of redo but it can be in vain if the judge saw it as a repeat.
Well remember, reducing crime is less about whether or not they'll be found guilty in court than whether or not they'll get caught.
Ie, not about whether or not a judge will find them guilty but about whether a cop will find and arrest them (in time).
A perfect court system is nice, but as far as the effect on crime, it will just change the "crime meta" so to speak towards committing crimes in such a way where there are no witnesses (left) or in ways where the witnesses don't know enough to identify you or even get you involved.
To wipe out crime, you'd have to make the certainty that they'll get caught approach 100% rather than the certainty that they'll be found und guilty after they are caught. If the chance that they get caught is 0% the 100% certainty they'll be found guilty if caught doesn't matter, and that will be what criminals exploit.
That said things like reanimating victims to make them testify to who killed them or finding a cat or bird or vermin that happened to frequent the town and viewing it's memories (treating it like a psuedo security camera) and hax like that is certainly powerful and hard to plan around.
I was feeling meh about S3 and was debating even watching S4. So glad I did. Really love the world building Ainz is doing with his subordinates. Shows that he wants them to live fulfilling lives.

Demiurge is very very capable with the stick, but his idea of a carrot is giving you a warm meal of human soup to eat . Seriously the Holy Kingdom Arc shows just how insanely cruel Demiurge really is. As cruel as Albedo and the others can be, they will at least give you the mercy of death after having their fun; however Demiurge will make sure to keep you alive so that your suffering continues on and on and he can skin you alive over and over.

I'd like to see more of Hilma's development in the story later, she reminds me of another moment in the Novel where the dwarves under Ainz are in a tavern after making runes and some people new in town start bad mouthing Ainz, causing the Dwarves to nearly get into an all out brawl with them to protect his honor.

Phillip was destined to be a nobody being the 3rd son of a barely well off noble. He is egotistical and narcissistic to a fault and prioritizes himself above anyone else(I mean, the way he was raised is partly at fault). He thought himself the main character when his eldest brother died in war(he was in the Ktze plains IIRC) and the second dies of sickness. He thinks that Ainz rising to power and destabilizing balance to the world was just the universe giving him a break. He doesn't see the sorcerer kingdom as a threat to his ambitions but a stepping stone to his future glory.
He's just an opportunist that didn't grasp what he's up against. Rather lack of Knowledge and nativity then beein dumb
