Tacoma crew cab problem. Access cab or old regular cab lot better result. If you wanna buy truck just off road crew cab bad choice. I think only 4runner and Land cruiser Made in Japan
Awesome!! I want to learn how to off road, but gotta buy me a 4x4 first. I’ve been watching lots of videos and it really looks like fun. This coming from a guy who like track cars. 😃👍
No doubt haha I've been wanting to upgrade to sliders forever but haven't been punished enough yet to feel the need Once I finally rip a step off I'll replace them lol
@@bassage13 Yup I agree 100% Luckily in Florida there aren't as many rocks that can really damage them. My biggest risk is the ground but it's typically soft clay.
Love the video. I just bought a 2022 4Runner XP with the predator package and I am amazed by how capable this trucks are. May have to take it to FL to try it out on the mud trails.
4runners come with a locker as well. It has atrac and a rear locker. It has a trd badge and trd off road and trd pro both come with the atrac and locker unless it’s an sr5 and he switched the emblems to make it look like a trd.
Hey where were y’all at in Florida? I noticed the blue markings on the trees, was this a off road park? I’m curious I would love to take my 4Runner there
Thanks! In this video he was on a Rough Country lift around 1.75"-2" I believe. He has since upgraded to a Dobinson's lift and I think is at 3" now. You can check his IG/YT out @Flo_Runna_
It's so funny but my trd sport will go over everything without a struggle in 4lo. It basically just always has atrac on. On the other hand my trd OR has full tradicional open diffs and no assistance when you put it in 4lo. You gotta select the terrain otherwise it's just open diffs. And btw I have never really used the locker. Once you do terrain select in the OR it basically just mimics lockers and you don't really even need to engage the locker. I actually kinda prefer the simplicity of the trd sport. And the sport will pretty much go anywhere the OR can.
I know man I’ve been saying this forever haha Luckily in Florida there isn’t much rock that can damage the steps. I think that’s why I’ve been holding off for so long 😂
Yeah man there's a good amount of trails out there. Citrus is probably the best but also Croom and Richloam. They're all kinda part of the Withlacoochee state forest.
@@KnightWheelsMedia we all do it differently. I personally don't use the locker. So basically if you turn on mts and set it to the highest it's almost like having front and rear locker but with the ability to turn. And if you are in sand or mud then it will allow way more slippage but still spin all 4 tires. If you only turn on the locker your front wheels are still open diff
Haha was waiting for someone to notice! Didn't take long. Yeah I guess I stripped the bolt putting it in (dumb) but didn't know because it was solid and all the high speed bumpy stuff we were doing must have worked it out. Didn't notice until I got home and found the bolt in the bed when I was cleaning. Think I'm gonna have to retap it and get a new bolt in.
@@KnightWheelsMedia When was the last time you went there? My buddy went a few months ago and said he still went to some of the obstacles we used to go on.
@@alangrant9558 I usually go out once or twice a month but it's been a couple months now. I just know at this point Trail 19 is "closed"/doesn't exist according to the FWC lol they'll ticket you on that trail now They also flattened one of the fun washouts on Trail 14. They have the other one still but it's gotten really deep and hard to do without hitting a tail light or bedside
Nope! Probably should but it's a hassle and I don't have a speedy compressor yet. Luckily these trails are relatively soft and don't have any sharp rocks so risk of puncture is slim to none. Airing down would help with traction a bit though.
knightacoma your trucks are badass btw! But ya if you own any of the ryobi power tools they make a handheld digital pump it’s only like 25 ish it’s cool as shit. Especially if you already have the batteries it’s so handy.
@@KnightWheelsMedia First off forgive me for my rude comment. You will notice I cleaned it up. I tune in to these videos to hear what you have to say maybe even hear the vehicle. I feel the music is unnecessary if you have good content. If I want music I will utilize my playlist. I feel its getting out of hand on alot of these videos. Normally I'll just check out early. @@robertyoung8289 No worries man! I get the frustration. TH-cam is a tough spot right now because a lot of people like the simpler, raw videos while a lot of times you need to do the flashy stuff to keep the views & keep viewers engaged. I've gotten a bit more selective with where I use music as I get better editing & filming, so hopefully I can find a good balance.
Since they bolt into the body and not the frame they won't do much good as sliders. Will replace them with true bolt on frame sliders at some point lol

Nice!! It is a lot of fun. You can always get an older, cheap 4x4 and get out on the trails. I'd suggest going with someone who's experienced though!
I could never get away with those predator step things out here in Arizona. The trails are full of large sharp rocks. Real rock sliders are a must.
No doubt haha I've been wanting to upgrade to sliders forever but haven't been punished enough yet to feel the need

That's the advantage of living in Florida it's mostly soft clay and a few inch lift would help the predators clear better.

This was in Citrus WMA about an hour or so north of Tampa. Still a great place to off road but some of the trails in this video are closed now.
I thought so I’ve been wanting to go ride out there. Thank you.
For me predator steps are a no no, when I purchased my 4runner I removed them and put rock-sliders. Nice video.

There are a few wildlife management areas about an hour north of Tampa
Where was this trail at I live in central fl
Withlacoochee State Forest

Did you diff drop after adding the eibach lift?
Nope! It's only a 2" lift so it didn't throw off the driveshaft angles too badly
Where did you guys go I want to go off-road too
Check out the wildlife management areas in Florida
What size tires are on that 4runner? Looks sweet!
I believe they're 33s. I wanna say 285/70/R17 or something like that
You didn't even need to turn on the locker. Next time just do terrain select.
