      When I was attacked by two scammers I was well educated by Catfish. I had no idea how to Phone Florida from Sweden, stupid enough to survive. I had broken an arm and can not write much.
      The men on Facebook were always two. I saw them in military clothes.
      But one was working as a ship captain. Photoshoped faces so I did not see them.
      Since you had taught me how they work I knew and used Greta Thunberg s word: I draw the line here and know! After some days they stopped calling.

    You know what I always find weird? When these women who have already handed over their life savings, took out loans, depleted every penny, then go on to say “I would be so thrilled if I found out he was real”. Sooooooo what if he was real? You’re telling me you want to continue this relationship where all you do is hand over money to a stranger? Yeah he’s real alright. A real scammer.

      From the scammers that have been interviewed, I don't think most even see what they do as at all bad. As far as they know, if you're dumb enough to give them money, then that's on you. "I'm lonely". "I don't have any friends down here." Learn to be comfortable with yourself, within yourself and foremost, for yourself. Learn hobbies, a new skill. And you can start by asking at stores of the things you are interested in. Fishing stores have workshops, hone supply companies have workshops, craft stores have workshops, heck you can even sit in many book stores and read right there. There's bound to be someone that you eventually strike up some sort of a conversation with. With time, those conversations become more frequent, more in depth and friendships are eventually made. Learn to entertain yourself! Don't expect others to do it for you. Don't use 'loneliness' as an excuse.

    • @junemarshall-kingsley566
      @junemarshall-kingsley566 ปีที่แล้ว

      Though I love and appreciate this program, the presenters need to spend less time on the identity of the fake. Whether they are gay, or have businesses they showcase on Instagram is irrelevant once they are identified as victims too. What is relevant is that their photos have been stolen. Then we need footage of the scamming mills, bare rooms filled with Nigerian teens with laptops, following time-worn scripts. Show what these kids look like, every time. Or even show the syndicate bosses and how they live while the kids are still in sweatshops.
      Also, the techie language is too detailed for most uneducated people who would fall prey to scammers. VoIP, VCNs, Crypto even PhotoShop are not concepts the average person is familiar with. They are explained, but so quickly. It's too much of an information dump. It obscures the message that these people are actually being conned by a kid, or group of kids, somewhere halfway around the world.
      Continuing to refer to these interactions as "relationships" further clouds people's judgment and feeds their delusion. "How long has your relationship with Robert been going on?" It is not a relationship, it's a financial transaction buried in web of lies. Calling these scams "relationships" solidifies the fairytale that some meaningful exchange of the heart is taking place.

    • @Nocturnalux
      @Nocturnalux ปีที่แล้ว +5

      True.

      There is some truth to this, in that many older men pursue younger women. However not every man is interested or only interested in younger women, many men want age appropriate relationships because thankfully not every single man is a creep. It's not like a woman has an expiration date and she should give up on romance after a certain age because no one out there is interested. She should always have self respect though, and not allow herself to be used or abused. Being alone is better than dealing with that.

If she keeps doing things with the money that they're sending she's going to end up in prison. She is not going to stop I don't think, because she feels so important getting this negative attention. Scams have been around since the dawn of man and will continue as long as someone is there for the picking. These individuals who are scammed continue on the path they want to believe something, therefore, pay to hear it.

    If a beggar would have asked her for $500,00 to buy food and clothes she would deny him. But she gives all she haves and more to someone she is talking to, who she has never seen in reality. When you are talking to someone unless you have actually spend time with them. You are not in a relation you are just speaking to them. Why in the name of our Mercifully God would you give them your money/ lifesavings. She even said that she never gave her husband a dime. If you want to meet a man, go out partying, go to church or ask your friends or family to hook you up. If you meet a man in reality you will be able to make better choices. A real man will never ask you for money.

    What's scary is that these all look like photos of men who would realistically ask her on a date. They look like photos of average middle aged men. Usually they use photos of a model.

    More women need to learn to be comfortable on their own! It seems a large number of these women have just come out of relationships, newly widowed etc. I get they are lonely, but learn to be content in your own company.., don’t go looking for someone else to give you a feeling of completion or validation.

    Watching these videos you learn a lot. If one is lonely get a cat not a scammer.
