@@BitchyQueen69 "Queen" is commonly used by Nigerian scammers, because it is an African terminology. Normal western men don't talk that way. "Baby", "sweetheart", "honey" are terms used in our societies. If something is out of place from what is the norm, that is a huge red flag that the man is from a different culture. We all have a gut instinct. Use it.

She claims to accept that she won’t find a man but the reality is she won’t find a young man. She’s completely nuts and honestly the only reason she won’t get taken advantage of again is because she’s broke.

She is one of 40 or 50 different women he is texting at the same time, copying and pasting the same tried and true phrases, trying to get as much money as possible. He probably works in a room with 20 others doing the same thing. She needs to take back her power. The ONLY person who can give her closure is herself.

There are reasons they target older people…..brains age like every other organ. If we live to our 80s, about half of us will get dementia to some degree, and in the decade before the dementia is obvious, our judgement fails, especially in becoming too trusting, and not spotting clear frauds.

    • @JaimeMesChiens
      @JaimeMesChiens 2 ปีที่แล้ว +7

Scammers work on commission, which requires many, many clients.
According to FBI stats, 2020, the average scammer send out average 2500 intro messages per day.
About 5% will reply to the first message, something like thus:
“I saw your picture and had to write. You have such a beautiful smile and I’d like to get to know you.”
Of that 5%, approx 95% of those initial respondents will then have no further communication.
TH-cam doesn’t allow posting links, but you can look these things up.
It is estimated that approx 1: 2500 have any continued communication and 1:12,000 are send any money.
So, chances are that all of us here have received messages, often many, of introduction from a scammer. Of course, far higher if one is on any dating site.
Getting a random message from a scammer if quite common; actually sending money is exceedingly against the odds.
They use written scripts. They use the same-few stories, and may vary them related to the photos they’re using.
Oil rig, independent contractor, military officer, special forces, MD on “peacekeeping mission,” and the infamous “Am surgeon doctor.”
Often a child is involved. The spouse either died of (unspecified) cancer, was in an auto accident, or was caught in bed with the scammer’s best friend. Occasionally dead spouse was a drug addict.
Child is with nanny, grandparents, or at “boarding school,” which is another phrase a US American would not say. You’d say the name of the kid’s school, or that child lives at school.
Boarding school is an antiquated term that US American or English wouldn’t ordinarily use.
There often is an accident involved and photos sent from a hospital bed.
We all know the variations on all the themes.
The point is these scammers are NOT smart, sophisticated, or have any identifiable talent in this. They’re reading a script.
It’s easy to Google a name.
Military pays for all food, shelter, transportation, medical care, security for all troops and their families.
There are also scripts for when scammer gets caught and the client threatens to cut off contact.
One such script is to admit to being a scammer, then claim to have developed “emotional feelings” towards the client. Again, this is a script.
Very, very few, statistically, fall for this, but it obviously does happen.
Once money from the client has been successfully extricated, the client becomes part of a “preferred list,” aka low-hanging fruit.
Future communications from other, or the same using a different name, will be targeted, not random.
At this point, the scammer has documented info about the client, thus enabling a faster, seemingly-closer relationship to flourish.
They tend to claim they’ve fallen in love with the client within a few days.

@@JaimeMesChiens And the jobs that they generally pick are always the same...engineer, surgeon, working on an oil rig or being in the military. A huge flag is none of these positions would require money to get out or leave wherever they are at. Someone in the military wouldn't need money to come home, for food or to pay for a new weapon because they lost theirs (I've heard that ridiculous story before on other accounts of being scammed). These employers wouldn't leave anyone behind, all travel and accommodation is paid for, especially on oil rigs and any U.S. military, they don't have to pay for anything. Anna really is on my last nerve, she sits there acting as if she’s this strong tough woman, she’s always the one in charge. she’s always the one that’s like the man in the relationship and yet when it comes down to it, knowing that this guy isn’t the man she’s talking to, she still is willing to give him a chance. There is nothing strong about her. She is naive and weak and in love with a figment of her imagination, she has spent an absorbent amount of money that she won’t even tell her kids about and they would probably flip out, her handing money to a stranger, her money, and their inheritance. She wouldn’t even give her own kids that money, but she’s willing to give it to a stranger, you might as well drive down the road and throw out thousands of dollars out your window because that’s basically what she is doing! Seriously, what’s her end game?!?! Allowing this guy to still take advantage of her and is acting like she’s doing all this for herself not for him, he is not the man you thought he was and you’re still sending him money, you know it’s someone from Nigeria, whether he’s 15 or 50, he’s not the guy in the picture. I mean how desperate do you have to be? Find somebody in your area stop looking on the Internet why do these women constantly fall for the same thing over and over again? Brienne is telling her this relationship is based on her giving him money it’s all for his financial gain, and Anna says “of course“, and yet she’ll still engage him. We can infer that she has a FEAR of losing connection with him, and she is describing that he was skilled at *exploiting* that fear to keep her “on the hook”. Just like IRL ABUSERS, romance scammers SEEK out those who demonstrate they will prioritize sustaining their “connection” to the abuser even if it’s at the expense of aspects of their own well being. It’s the playbook they both use to get their victims to accept more and more outlandish things in order to “keep him” in her life.

    People listen up.
When you have this much money from a bank, your account gets handled privately by the bank.
Meaning anytime you need money you will be able to withdraw, any high profile accounts are taken care of differently than a regular account.
Because any bank that cannot help you when you are a high value client risk on losing your business by not getting help when you need it.

She's a real piece of work. "I'd kill him right now if he was in front of me" points to her needing psychological help and mental health counseling to first grasp what happened, and then deeply analyze why she was so desperate and willing to give her entire life savings to a non-existent man who she had never met face to face. And she said at the end that she was "happy with her partner, so she'll be OK no matter what. Did I miss something? She has a partner that she actually knows and sees?
