Infinite was one of those rare games that left me speechless in it's conclusion. I remember sitting in my dark room, contemplating the actions that had just had just transpired as Elizabeth grabbed me and forced me underwater. It was chilling, thrilling, and fulfilling all at once: and while in retrospect the whole affair was, let's say... 'convoluted', I can't deny that Levine's work is a shining testament to the argument that hames can TRULY be a work of art on-and-off themselves.

It wasn't until I watched this video that I realized her getting her pinky cut off during the struggle with Comstock is the reason she has the powers that she does
The tragedy of Elizabeth is that, just as the luteces warned her, and she realized herself in Burial At Sea 2... The person she hated so much, is basically the person she turned into. Like father, like daughter i suppose. Only difference between them is that of Comstock and Fitzroy. Where Booker was physically savage, Elizabeth used her intelligence as her weapon She's a great character but damn... Seems the Dewitts weren't meant to have happy endings... Couldn't just leave well enough alone as she said I wonder what she would've been like had she just gotten to live her life as "Anna" Dewitt. Away from all of this pain Edit: what's worse... Is that had she just forgiven that last version of her father who genuinely was remorseful... She probably could've become "Anna" and had a genuine relationship with him. And Sally as well. But... Constants and variables it seems

The one thing I hate about Burial at Sea is the Fitzroy retcon. Up until then, you got to see two different people, Fitzroy and Comstock, be all but equal mirror opposites of each other in charisma, ruthlessness, and intelligence up until that DLC where they ham in Fitzroy being the Noble Martyr for no real benefit. She had every reason to blame the son for the father's actions since he benefitted from his father's greed, going to bed each night fat and happy while young children in Finkton starved daily. It turned the Lutece Twins into these mustache-twirling villains in a way that completely spits in the face of their audio logs on the subject, Rosalind wanted nothing to do with Elizabeth and Robert wanted to save her from her situation cause he felt guilty about putting her in it. They couldn't give two shits about Comstock after the accident since it opened their minds to the infinite. In a very real sense, he and Fink did them a favor.
I HATE Firtzroy, I wanted to kill that SOB so hard, they can turn them into a Martyr all they want, its still not noble, just a pawn, doesn't even justify their reasons. She would totally kill the innocent child, despite what she says, she had no remorse, she is the real villain of the game. All the other characters died in remorse. I hated she more than I hate Atlas.

Also during the events of Burial at Sea part 2 it's pretty heavily hinted at that song bird has a human operating it in some way. I wonder who that person is
Elizabeth didn't deserve the ending :( Poor Liz just wants to go to Paris Apart from the ending being hard pill to swallow, this game is very good from both graphic and gameplay and it offers a choice, either you want to play it close quarter combat counterstrike style or go berserk with vigors. I just really hope that the next Bioshock offers more choice to weaponery, maybe increase the amount to 3 holdable weapons Also it would be nice if the next Bioshock also have some nice small details as a nod to some of the characters on Bioshock, Bioshock 2 and Infinite
I really like your video. Finally someone who still likes this franchise and you also have a nice voice to listen to while doing schoolwork and just to chill to
A month after finishing my first run of Infinite as a whole, Elizabeth's ending still hit me harder than a brick to the face, which partially helped the ending of the original Bioshock felt more satisfying to me personally... even though the original had recently become one of my favourite games of all time alongside Fallout: New Vegas. It takes a lot to make me feel "Damn, I'm depressed now, I need to watch a huge chunk of Filthy Frank to cheer me up", which partially helped. In a nutshell, Elizabeth became one of my favourite characters.

I’d like to think that the versions of Elizabeth and Booker/Comstock we see in both the main game and the dlc HAD to die in order for their infinite doors to all shut and merge into a single door, instead of being a tortured soul with a missing pinkie who’s locked in a tower for most of her life...Elizabeth now goes by Anna and is happily sitting in Paris with booker living the life she spent countless years and countless universes dreaming about and trying to get to. No tower. No songbird. No Comstock. No Vox Populi. No pain. No war. No death. Just a normal girl in Paris, listening to Edith Piaf play on a nearby record player as she watches the sun rise over the Eiffel Tower, unknowingly having her picture drawn by an artist sitting nearby. No longer wearing the bird pendant or the cage pendant, she the pendant of HER choice. Does this make sense given the lore infinite gave us? No. Does it make sense scientifically? No. But is it the happy ending Elizabeth and Booker deserve? Yes.

A theory: the universes of Bioshock Infinite & Burial At Sea are relatively new. Why? Because, the Rapture & There's Something At Sea timelines were all in the mid to late 20th century while Infinite was in the late 19th/early 20th century
i always loved elizabeth as an inpc cause reason 1 she's a very well writen charactar reason 2 she matures throughout the main game reason 3 she's just a good charactar well erik i hope your doin well take care man.
I played Bioshock Infinite Day 1 when it came out and remember just being so disappointed with the game. There story is a bit of a mess. I think they tried to do to many things in the kitchen but ended up getting lost in the sauce. I really loved the setting of Columbia but couldn’t care less about Daisy’s “revolution” or other side quests. And then really didn’t like that ending. I never bothered with Burial at Sea and after seeing this, I’m glad I didn’t. It seems they retconned a bit of stuff trying to shoehorn the bridge between Bioshock 1 and Infinite. Having Suchong simply steal the work of Fink/partner with him and then rely on all these tears really weakens his genius and the significance of Rapture giving way to scientific discovery. Having Fontaine not know about the words to trigger Jack’s conditioning just seems so silly. So he comes up with his “ace in the hole” aka brainwashing Ryan’s kid but doesn’t know his own command? That’s just plain dumb. Also why would Ryan let Elizabeth who is an outsider have free rein of his city when he locked up Johnny Topside? And why would Fontaine give up the little sister if she’s “worth her weight in gold”. This DLC just seems to have zero respect for the characters from the first game Good video tho. Very informative and thank you for taking the time to make this. I hope no one thinks my criticism of the game are in any way a criticism of your work.
I love the story I just wish you could have played as Elizabeth instead so I could be the good guy instead of dying as a bad guy it makes me feel like a bad person playing as booker lol
I would of enjoyed that dynamic of the game as well. It'd be a bit like the Last of Us where we got to play as Ellie for quite a time period in the game. It's the role reversal of the main characters.
"Finally Bringing an End to the Cycle of Violence" I mean I guess. To do so she had to help instigate the start of a civil war that utterly destroyed Rapture and caused the deaths of countless innocents, including a shit ton of children, a good portion of whom were young girls, like Sally, who were turned into little sisters to help Ryan with said war effort. But hey...Sally lived... and the cycle of violence was ended...Until a decade later with the events of Bioshock 2, but Kenny doesn't give a shit about Bioshock 2 so fuck it.
The thing that confuses me about Elizabeth's ability is what is being altered: in the main game you can surmise that its time since you're viewing points where something has happened, like the death of Chen Lin or Booker's death. But during the DLC, she mentions other universes, so is that also being altered when she opens tears? The ability to hop to another universe like America Chavez in Marvel?
Probably yes. But as after titles scene have shown us, that maybe Booker and Anna are living together and start new life. I hope it could be real continue of their story.
I really like lore sadly there aren't meanny people whom share this with me I'm happy I found a channel with like minded people keep up with the videos please
So I don't know what to think about booker. Is he a bad guy? And did Elizabeth kill him because she hated him or did she have to for some other reason?
Def a scumbag, but he did have some redeeming qualities. She killed the first Booker because it was the only way to stop Comstock from existing, the second one though she did because she became sort of deranged and blinded by bloodlust. She herself realized it in the second DLC, that all her plotting to get DeWitt dead was unecessarily cruel and pointless, and that she had been perpetuating the Wheel of Blood.
The French revolution settled with the Terror before Napoleon did the coup, Vox's revolution never did and would had ended up with Columbia plummeting from the sky. The French revolution was a sh*tshow, but compared to Vox's at least it did have an objective beyond "let's kill all rich people" (in fact it was mostly rich people killing richer people)
What I hate the most about infinite is the ending, both for Booker & for Elizabeth in the DLC. You get no choice for a GOOD or BAD ending just "Hey you know how you had a choice to be bad & get a bad ending or vice versa for a good one? Yeah, not here buddy both of them are going bye bye" Got the collection bundle for 10 buck's on sale (PS4) in order to scratch that nostalgia itch (Bio 1 & 2 plus infinite) Only downloaded 1 & 2, infinite aka the black sheep to me can stay in the downloadable application section. Columbia is beautiful but that's about it imo. To each his own.
Gunplay was fun and Elizabeth was a great improvement of the Alyx Vance model for AI companions, but Infinite dragged on a lot. As for the endings, well, BaS's didn't make much sense (I mean, Elizabeth is the best looking 65 year old I've seen, and Booker in his 80's looks a lot better than she does in her 80's) but Infinite did have to end like that, keep in mind it was Booker's choice to die, Elizabeth asked him a coulle of times if that was what he really wanted...
Thought I was going crazy for a minute until i reqound and confirmed you repeated section of the script right after reading it the first time. Lol Guess you accidentally opened a tear to your very recent past.
I try to do my best in post-production but it's hard. In my grandpa's house when the heat kicks on, we have loud vents. So that's probably what you're hearing in the background of my videos. I only have a certain time window to try and make videos, usually between midnight-3am, but he has it to where the heat kicks on every ten minutes. So, it gets pretty frustrating after a while. Are you happier thinking on Elizabeth being in her 50's during the Nazi occupation of France? Really? Her and Booker did have a happy ending, Elizabeth basically made it so every reality where Booker sold her to Comstock didn't come to pass. As for the Paris thing? Europe in the early and mid 20th century wasn't the best place to live, and France was a literal warzone twice.
Wait wait wait, so Infinite put the real ending in DLC!? WFT!? Just like Dead Space 3, jeez! Well at least all of the dlc is included in tge collection, I get a graphics update and dlc!
It puts an end to Columbia's Elizabeth...while breaking a metric ton of other stuff in both Infinite and Bioshock 2. It's fun, and I liked playing Elizabeth a lot, but the game didn't make much sense, starting by the fact that Booker is in his 80's by 1958 and Elizabeth is supposed to be 65.

This DLC just seems to have zero respect for the characters from the first game
Good video tho. Very informative and thank you for taking the time to make this. I hope no one thinks my criticism of the game are in any way a criticism of your work.
This is a real head-spinner
7:48 and that is one of the scary things about building a city in the sky. Take note
Thanks for explaining this character. Nice tie in to the first game.
I really wish that the dlc characters actually had the old clothing from bioshock and bioshock 2
On that note, I’d like for the main character in bioshock 3 to be Eleanor
@@smolphoenix8942 please and thank you 👍 I want to know what happened to Eleanor
Is booked truly a bad guy
@@smolphoenix8942 я бы хотел чтобы Элеонора стала главной героиней четвёртой части биошока,мне все равно как,но хочется чтобы именно так и было
Wow! Great video, you put a lot of effort doing it. I Would Like to Know the story from other Bioshock Characters! :D
I have a whole playlist of those on my channel, if you'd like to check them out.
Your videos are awesome.
I'm glad you enjoy them Martin.
"Finally Bringing an End to the Cycle of Violence"
I mean I guess.
Thanks for another great video Erik
No problem
The thing that confuses me about Elizabeth's ability is what is being altered: in the main game you can surmise that its time since you're viewing points where something has happened, like the death of Chen Lin or Booker's death. But during the DLC, she mentions other universes, so is that also being altered when she opens tears? The ability to hop to another universe like America Chavez in Marvel?
Amazing video, well done
Мне нравится bioshock infinite,нравятся ваши видео,нравится элизабет,и черт возьми как же печально заканчивается эта серия игр😢
That’s ok dude take any time you got and I also found out it’s bioshock 11 anniversary and new bioshock will come 2019
Crazy how time flies by.
I watched this whole video...
Thank you, I really appreciate that.
Does this mean that Elizabeth is no longer existent since she died at rapture after losing her powers?
Probably yes. But as after titles scene have shown us, that maybe Booker and Anna are living together and start new life. I hope it could be real continue of their story.
Columbia's Elizabeth is dead, but in the universes where Booker did not sell her, she lives as Anna with Booker.
This was great!!! I will kindly subscribe :D
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it :)
7:57, akin to the French revolution, precisely, the outcome is also mostly the same, good thing we had an Napoleon to put an end to it
The French revolution settled with the Terror before Napoleon did the coup, Vox's revolution never did and would had ended up with Columbia plummeting from the sky.
The French revolution was a sh*tshow, but compared to Vox's at least it did have an objective beyond "let's kill all rich people" (in fact it was mostly rich people killing richer people)
Wow 😍 Elizabeth Looks Extremely Gorgeous Throughout the Games 🇫🇷🍷🕊🎼🎺🌹a Lion and the thorn
What I hate the most about infinite is the ending, both for Booker & for Elizabeth in the DLC. You get no choice for a GOOD or BAD ending just "Hey you know how you had a choice to be bad & get a bad ending or vice versa for a good one? Yeah, not here buddy both of them are going bye bye"
Got the collection bundle for 10 buck's on sale (PS4) in order to scratch that nostalgia itch (Bio 1 & 2 plus infinite)
Only downloaded 1 & 2, infinite aka the black sheep to me can stay in the downloadable application section.
Lol Guess you accidentally opened a tear to your very recent past.
you should mute the audio in the background to stop it from messing with your voice
I'm sorry if that made the quality of the video go down. I'll try my best to do better in future videos.
@@TheBioshockHub i love your videos and i was talking about the gameplay during your explaining
i keep hearing booker and elizabeth while you explain important stuff
@@MaxPain1996 Oh, I'm sorry. I thought you meant my actual audio. My apologies.
@@TheBioshockHub no problem
heard of game called the suffering? it's like bioshock spent some time in silent hill.i hope you consider it
@@MaxPain1996 I haven't, but I could definitely look into it
So how exactly did the final comstock survive?
He escaped to Rapture before the purge took effect. In a world where he did not belong must have had something to do with it.
Have you done a lets play/playthrough of infinite on your channel? I can't seem to find it
I have, you might just have to look around. But if you can't find one, I'll be doing a stream on Infinite soon.

Right no one has to believe me but for anyone that dose care, When i played this back in 2014, what happend to Lizy really upset me to the point where i was a HUGE mess.
So to fix this my sister very kindly E-Mailed ken levine to ask if Lizy had really died. And luck have it he asked my sister for our home number and he called us, Long story shot lizy can never really die so somewhere there is a happy ending, where she Lived a Happy life. i forget the way he put it, but he went in to the theory behind it. and it did make sense.
So she did live a happy Life. Lived in Paris. Just Lived her life. as we all wanted.
So for anyone who cares i just wanted to let you all know.
Are you happier thinking on Elizabeth being in her 50's during the Nazi occupation of France? Really?
Her and Booker did have a happy ending, Elizabeth basically made it so every reality where Booker sold her to Comstock didn't come to pass. As for the Paris thing? Europe in the early and mid 20th century wasn't the best place to live, and France was a literal warzone twice.
how do you organize these videos ?
Honestly, a lot of patience. I mess up a lot and sometimes I'll scrap a whole video because of it.
Elizabeth Comstock 😒
Anna Dewitt 😏
Мне имя элизабет как то больше нравится,но терпеть не могу когда райн назвал её мисс комсток
It's impossible to do a true Laura Story on her because she's multi-dimensional she don't even really know herself
Great video tbh.
By the way I got my self a new channel that is the one I am using now.
Wait wait wait, so Infinite put the real ending in DLC!? WFT!? Just like Dead Space 3, jeez! Well at least all of the dlc is included in tge collection, I get a graphics update and dlc!
Well, DLC is fair game, at least no "gambling", I mean, pay-to-win.
The girl you would do anything for.
and then she dies...
Subscribed! I just finished up Infinite (I'm late to the party, I know), and I love the Bioshock series. I really enjoyed this video💕
Constructive criticism: Maybe try splitting long videos into parts next time. It seemed like you had some difficulty with the script, repeating and/or mis-speaking words or having random unnatural pauses. Please don't take offense. These are simply my observations and opinions; my advice comes from someone who thoroughly enjoyed your video.
Bottom line: Ultimately, the few mistakes paled in comparison to the positives. Your explanation of Elizabeth's story(ies) through the worlds was both entertaining and enlightening😊 I can't wait to watch more of you😁👍
Can we get a history of the vox populi?
dang that was a long video
ITS ANNABELLE WATSON ERIK!!!
The game writers couldn't have just made it a little easier to follow?
whoa thats alot
Elizabeth isn't my fav character in general in the series
That's completely okay!
41:23 stop it
Fingers and toes crossed Elizabeth is somehow in BioShock 4.
😳
But why does she look 12-14 till dlc it sorta scares me
She's 18-19, you're good lol.
I know but still
(Booker I am not gonna let you Kill him) (Elizabeth Really Booker What Are you gonna Do To Stop Me Summoning an Tornado Storm 🌪💦⚡️)
(Booker Not a Damn thing that's Why I am Going to Do it For You)
I'm still angry that I didn't get to kill that Fitzroy SOB. I got so mad because she stole my zeppelin, she was no better. I would make a deal with Fink himself to kill her if I had a choice.
@@monad_tcp You can't Win them All Dude
@@jalenikezeue4114 of course you can, just remove all the quantum particles from the Fink industries and let it fall, let the PARASITES fall !
lol, the irony, in the second episode, Ryan literally sunk the Fontaine department, it didn't work... damn, those parasites, I hate them.
she got what she deserved
I enjoyed infinite but I hated the gameplay. It seemed so dumbed down. And I really didnt like burial at sea. 1 or 2. They seemed so lazily made to me.
I can understand that.
Am i the only one who doesn't like Elizabeth? She starts out ok then gets more anoying as the game progresses
I feel infinite would have been better if they didn't invalve aulternat universe
