I am! It’s slow but it’s getting better so that’s all I can ask for at this point! When I come back I’m going to do daily uploads and get this channel to 1k!
I just got mine to a few months ago I haven't install yet I am copying another turbo setup I seen the cam I got for the setup is too big for the stock piston but I found out that you can notch the piston in the block plus I'm running some victor junior cylinder heads with this so I'm going to compare mine to yours oh the bottom end is stock
Yea I’ve heard of those flycutters that can notch the pistons while it’s still in the car! Sounds good man! And that awesome with a stock bottom end! I want to try and do something like that at some point 😁
Hopefully ur engine is set up for a turbo you can’t just slap a turbo on..biggest mistake people make is not having enough piston ring gap when they add a power adder. If the gap is too small, when the rings expand from the extra heat it will close the gap completely seizing the ring and breaking the piston. You should have a turbo cam because if you have too much valve overlap boost will escape the cylinder because the exhaust valves are still open. Last thing if you don’t have an aftermarket block and your planning on making 700hp I hope you used a main girdle with studs and used the Girdle that requires main cap machining because that’s the one that actually works it helps keep the mains from walking so the webbing that the mains are bolted to don’t crack, pull out the entire main and completely destroy ur engine you will be lucky if the heads are even any good after. I’m just speaking from my many years of racing Fox body stangs. I’ve seen many people blow up strokers over the years. I promise you the girdle that requires machining is the cheapest insurance on a 2 bolt main small block ford.
Oh yea it’s all turbo ready! It’s an R302 block splayed 4 bolt main 4340 forged eagle crank forged h beam rods custom CP forged pistons and yes the rings have been gapped for boost as well as a custom Comp cam for boost 😁 and yea I have a larger lobe separation at 116 degrees like your saying about overlap! I actually was going with a stock block at first but ended up changing my mind cause a deal came up 🤷🏼♂️ so I actually have a DSS main girdle with the ARP hardware laying in my shed I’m going to build that stock motor at some point for fun but for now I’m focused on my R302 block! Thanks for the comment though it has a ton of good information in it!
Thanks!! A carpenter friend built it for us! It used to be an old butchers block and he flipped it upside down put a finish on it and made a table out of it! 😁😁💪🏻

Nice man I’m gonna be doing a 408 strocker in my 83 convertible
Nice that’s gonna be an awesome build!!! Those 408’s make a ton of power!
