Nice to see Monique on Game Night! Well done, as usual everyone. I think this may be one of those games that needs to actually be played to get the true feeling. I wasn't initially drawn to it like I am many games you show on this channel. You all did a wonderful job, I would just like to give it a go myself before forming an opinion. Thanks again Game Night!

Not sure what the rules say, but why not put the workers in the outlined spaces for them on the boards at the beginning of the game?...once you have filled all the associated tiles, you know you can spend them. Nikki missed taking a worker for the upside down Y shaped one...and there's no way to track whether you got it and used it, or if you never got it at all; if they are on your board from the start you know exactly what you have used and what you have left without the chance of error.

You mean face down and shift around as they get revealed?

Seems like a good way to remember to put the markers out is just to put it in on your board as soon as you draw it. That would work whether you build directly or not.

This game would wreck my mind with its randomness and two choices like Monique said.

Why did you use the old rule regarding the placement of free buildings from Attika instead of the new rule where they don't have to be touching to allow them to be played?

My two favourite board game streamers together again, yay! Not sure about the game, though, it looks like it is fairly difficult to get your way around the building pieces. I'd wish they had used better iconography to indicate which is related to which. At least to me, watching from side, it was very difficult to figure out what has been placed and where, and I get the impression you had the same issue. The numbers on the chits certainly help, but I don't want to think what would it be without them.
Overall, not sold on this, I'm afraid. I just don't consider it good game design when you can miss a move simply by not being able to notice your game pieces and what they do well enough.

This game seems really similar to a game called Attika (2003).

James Burns this is a reimplementation if Attika. We talk a bit about it in the wrap up. -Lincoln

@@boardgamegeek Yep, I though it was Attika. I was looking at the Player Mats on BGG imageboard and they were identical. I could not win that game either. I played it alot on BSW.

Seems like you get only one obvious move to do on each of your turns.

Anticlimactic ending. Nearly impossible to win by connecting the 2 so every game would basically be the same to see who can get everything on the board first.

I don't know but off late....Every new board game just seems to be like some already available game....Seen this ...Played that.....

This game seems quite dry (pun intended), it ended, not with a bang, but with a whimper.

I do not like the worker/amphore rules change from the original Attika. A lot of the game's excitement/tension/drama is gone if workers are too easy to acquire. 5 of 5 stars for Attika. 4 of 5 stars for this re-implementation. IMO
