I'm a simple being; I see loads of dice being rolled, I'm in a happy place! 😁 What a great game, I absolutely love it! I really need to stop watching you guys as every time it seems I find another game I just simply can't live without owning. Great video as always, absolutely excellent in fact! 👏👏👏👏👏
Wow, what a streamlined design, I immediately understood how to play just from the setup. Thank you, Game Night! And tan Deborah is a pleasure to watch as well!
Well, I'm sold.... I'm not usually a huge fan of co-op games, but this looks brilliant. I love dice games that allow all rolls to be valuable, whether 1 to 6..... Thanks again Game Night Team, enjoyable as always!
Love this game. Gets materially more difficult with special enemies. Note that if a player doesn’t have dice at the beginning of a roll, the player still reveals the top card of the enemy deck (see Gameplay, section 2, important note). This doesn’t end the game. Game ends if no player has dice or the skull has reached the last hole of the damage track in any territory (see end of game).
Damn, I was interested in this game but I realized that the idea of the game ending if any player has no dice to roll was a part of the tension. I kinda wish that was the official rule.
Enemy mitigation seems important. If all the enemies are dead then the master of shmegity can only deal 2 damage per turn. I'd devote the fighter to constantly kill.
This game just arrived. We bought it as you guys had so much fun it got us interested. Deborah saying she was 'enjoying it immensely' sealed it. As my wife say her enthusiasm is infectious! I think all you guys have such a genuine love of board gaming it's always fun to watch you. Thanks for the vidoes. Now time to see see if we can win playing two characters each :)
Why would Nikki want to use her power to kill a monster with a five when she had a six? She could have used the six, and used her power later in the turn.
I miss when they rolled dice in that wooden dice tray. It made such a satisfying sound! I’m glad they have a backlog of episodes and am loving the Date Night streams. I can’t imagine surviving quarantine without Game Night! Stay safe!
Honestly, I watched this video just to find out whether Deborah was "Karen Page" from the Netflix Marvel shows. (And then I watched the whole thing because the game looked interesting too)
Of course she gave him that face, because Dave is completely wrong. Dice on the mission are locked until the mission is done, dice on the vortex are locked until the vortex is done. That is a potentially _huge_ difference.
at about 13:17 of the video, the rules are wrong. If a player does not have dice to roll then the game is not over. The game only ends if none of the players have dice left to roll. If a player does not have dice, then that players just draws a monster.
I rly think u need instead of placing preemptive dice for prevent dammage u can straight kill ennemy each tiem they pop (so u are safe for dammage and u protect dive on place ^^ )
This showed up in my feed to rewatch. I was like, ‘oh yeah, how did that game go again?’ so I clicked it. Now I wanna see you guys tackle the B-side 😄 Got me wondering: has there ever been talk of doing a series of replays…b-sides of boards, extra modules (Taverns of Tiefenthal comes to mind)…etc?
We did a full play through in season 9 of the Initiative. It was fun but we really like to show folks new games. Having said that we have a few things upcoming that are plays of games related to ones we have featured before. Let’s hope people want to watch them. Thanks for the note and for watching. -Lincoln
I wasn´t sure to buy this game, but after watching this "let´s Play" (and the realy well done explaination) it look´s like a must have! (update, just got it for 13 bugs ;-)
Need to do way more crowd control. At least one the fighter or warrior should been on crowd control. The adventurer should been the specialist because of the rerolls. Seems like a game that gets out of control if you don't do some crowd control.
Why didn't Dave reset the one of the damage tracks when he finished the Ice Cave? I know it's only one point, but that's one less point to worry about later. (at 28 minutes in)
I think it kind of needs a text disclaimer at the beginning saying that this was filmed before the pandemic, and BGG does not recommend that players get together for game nights when they should be social distancing.
i didn't play this yet, but i can't but wonder - wouldn't the better strategy be to kill every monster immediately even if it ment you would have to deal with master of shadows over and over? he would have nothing to activate and also monsters would not steal as much of your dice
Wow, my best days must be behind me because I could not have played that game after that explanation had my life depended on it. I think I could have after playing a few rounds or watching.
Seems like it’s better to kill the monsters rather than using dice for protection. Why the reluctance in killing the 3 and 2 cards? Thanks for the game!
The 3s only attack when the Master of Shadows comes out, and the 2s when the Master or a 3 (of which there's only one in each terrain) comes out. Because two of the four 3s came out early, that made the 2s low priority as well. In short, their early draws gave them a lot of breathing room so that they could focus on getting gems and killing 1s.
We use 4 cameras. Two Panasonic DSLRs on each side of the table that are great but tougher to use since we can't use auto focus. For the game play angles we use two Sony higher end 4K camcorders above us. One for the main game table and one for the rules explainer. We also have wireless lavalier mics on each of us that we connect into a mixer to record the whole mix. These mics are great but very expensive. Blue Yeti mics are great and inexpensive but you do need to get them close to your subjects. Then I take it all into Adobe Premiere and sync it all up and send it to Derek to cut. Not simple but it does a great job for us. Please let me know if you have any questions. -Lincoln
Destroying the monsters as soon as you can is pretty much the only thing that you have to do to win this game in my experience. And they're not that hard to kill.
Lincoln got asked the same question on BGG - I believe it was recorded some time last year, but they held it back because it had some out of focus issues and a misplay or something. It sounds like they have quite a few pre-recorded that they can release over coming weeks.
Wow - I honestly cannot recall watching this video and yet I have pretty much watched every playthrough video the guys and gals have done...

The immersion that Deborah displays is so loveable! It elevates the game tenfold.
Tommy Kay there must be a lot of restraining orders against you...

Hi! How does the game scale? Do you feel like it needs to have 4 players, or would it be good at 2?
@@rickthompson3843 My kids and I played with 3, and it worked well. Maybe at 2, you could each simply play 2 characters.

It's not really a push-your-luck game, but MAN does it FEEL like one...every decision, every die roll...the tension of those decisions is fantastic.
The set up and explanation made this seem like it was going to be an easy game but it looks pretty brutal! I'm sold!

Just to be clear, the Healer works by putting a die on the Healer card (to be rolled next round) to heal just one damage from somewhere, right?
Very much liked this game, wishlisted and ordered :D
Looks like a fun co-op my game group would enjoy, thanks!
Just got this. So excited to play soon after watching this. So many fun choices!

Nicky seems very doubtful there. She’s got that “whatever Dave!” face. 😂
Of course she gave him that face, because Dave is completely wrong.

I love watching you play games! This one looks great :) I’m waiting for the Clank Legacy to be continued :)
Thanks everyone, now I have to buy this one. :)
Love this game
Am I missing something here you made a simple game look hard every time you roll a six kill a monster you can’t loose keep safe guys x
my thoughts too. no reason not to always kill a monster every time with a natural 6. Would have been fine easily, yeah.
It was our first time playing :)
This game looks like a lot of fun!

To which gods did you sacrifice to have Deborah in so many videos??? Stay safe, gang!
Lincoln looks like Smokey from The Big Lebowski. "Mark it 8 Dude!" Lincoln is my favorite.

They have several but think she's fairly popular with the viewers
Just got this game. I’m soloing it with 4 heroes.
I love watching you folk play!
Would love to watch you play
“A Fistful of Meeples”
“Venom Assault” (w/wo the expansion)
“Downforce” or
“Fleet Dice”

^physical distancing
If you've got a family you're with right now, any night is game night.
I don't know what to do in life, unless every TH-cam video has a disclaimer on how I should act.

I'd love to see Scott Pilgrim Miniatures the World played
I thought from date night you said Dave was out of town . Was this recorded in advance.
Yeah, we have a bunch of episodes recorded because I was supposed to be out of town for an extended amount of time. -Lincoln

Lincoln = Bang Bang I am The Warrior = Scandal featuring Patty Smyth 1984

Threes not going into the Forest is such a design fail...
Is the girl with red hair from True Blood?
How do you guys know baby vamp?

Yeeeesssss Deborah!!!!!

👍👍👍👍😁😊
Careful.... im pretty sure ole girl is a vampire 😮😂
must kill off the monsters more often, dont delay. fun fun
Is Deborah a permanent replacement for Aaron? 😋
Aaron moved away from LA, so he can only show up occasionally. There's a rotating cast to replace him when they need a fourth player
That Deborah seems very personable. She should consider getting into acting.
This game looks fun, but would definitely need the right group. Far too easy to alpha game with this one
Lincoln - The band was Scandal. Yes, I am embarrassed to admit I know that. See you guys at BGGCon
Patty Smyth & Scandal
That is it! Thanks for the note and for watching. -Lincoln
Poor ole Nicky got talked over quite a bit there 🙄
love you guys, but Dave lost this game because he refused to clear enemies
Jeff, love means never having to point out who might have lost a game.
Natalie?
When was this recorded? Seems to me that not much social distancing is going on? Concerns me that you guys might get sick.
