How To Catch Pink Salmon on The Duwamish River

How we fish for Pinks on the Duwamish. The Duwamish is the head of the Green River feeding into the Puget Sound in Sesttle, Washington.

Is that the West Seattle bridge ? How deep do you let the hoochie go and what line are you using ? 12 lb mono ?

That is the West Seattle bridge behind us. I use a heavier main line off of bridges and piers, usually 50-65lb braid. On my leaders I use 12-15 for pinks and sometimes 20-30lb floro for my bumper and 8-12lb floro on my leader.

The pinks run every other year. It usually begins late July-December. This spot typically opens at the end of August early September
