Good vid , just getting sea tackle together ,, not sea fished for 25 years ..we go camping every week in our camper so will be extra fun on our vid,s cheers Chris & Sam
You would be better off using mackerel feathers or razorclaw silver minnow lures for catching mackerel. Or if you are float fishing for mackerel, the best baits would be mackerel strips, sandeel or bluey.
C'mon, they're always called "piers" all over the country. I fish on Whitehaven harbour but nobody calls it a harbour, it's always called a pier. People know they're not really piers, it's just like slang terminology. Look for Whitehaven Pier Fishing and see how many people _don't_ call it a harbour.
Hi, enjoyed the video, do much the same myself. Don't want to sound negative but your reel is way underloaded and whatever line you've got on there has serious memory issues. Looks like a Slinky.
hey there! I have a question... sonce you have stopping rubber bead... when you cast .. does it not get stuck at the last guide? in the rod tip would appreciate a reply! also I would like to know .. do I need a license and to fish in sea/saltwater uk
Hi, the bead usually goes straigt through the tip but if you are using a rod with a smaller tip eye that the bead doesn't fit through you can use an elastic band as a stop knot for your float. You dont need a licence for most sea fishing. You only need a licence if you intend to target sea trout and salmon.
This is a really good fishing video and would’ve been totally awesome had you kept the trippy theme music going all the way through, maybe just turn it down when you’re talking
This was before the mackerel were in so there wasn’t many people on the pier when I made this video. There’s usually less people on there first thing in the morning.
I keep adjusting the float up and down until I get a bite or by what fish I’m targeting like for flounders that are usually on the bottom I’ll set the depth to be quite close to the bottom, if I was targeting mackerel on the float I would have the depth set to about mid water and for the pier I usually start off with about a 6ft drop and adjust up or down from there. Try not to get right on the bottom because that’s where you will get snagged.
Do yourself a favour and put a bead under the wieght and a piece of silicon tube on top of swivel ( stops wieght smashing the knot apart) also fill spool as much as you can as increasing cast distance ,should not limit floating to just by the wall ,I use a drifter float that goes to opposite dock wall where fish are bigger as no one's has ever been permitted to fish
It's good fun and knowledge is a good thing to have and share ,I love my float fishing and done right it smashes more than my fixed bottom rods by 3/1 ,night floating gets the rod going every second you cast before putting it down ,,spike and glue a tube in top of float to attach rod tip light (not glow stick light type) you can see it easily at 100m ,all bigger fish come in closer at night so gives better chance to land a whopper
Love the music make you happy 😃 thanks master
Awesome video 😎😎😎
Good job, Nice shut...Angler Vishal. From india.
Looks very fun may have to try some day

Can I have similar results with mackerel if I can't get my hands on any ragworm also I've never been sea fishing before
You would be better off using mackerel feathers or razorclaw silver minnow lures for catching mackerel. Or if you are float fishing for mackerel, the best baits would be mackerel strips, sandeel or bluey.
@@fishingintheukgarywood I mean can I have similar results using mackerel as bait
Ah right. Yes you can.
I like the music! Who's it by?
Hi Mate,is mackerel there yet? We want to go to fishing on the South Shields pier? We are 2.5hr drive from there. Will appreciate your help and advice
They will be in now
Nice video, tight lines! 👍
Thanks, tight lines.
Nice crab peeling 🙂👍🏻
What lb line did you say u was using
what are them stoppers called so i can buy some,do you just push the line thru them to use them
Silicone stop beads. They come on a loop of line to help you push them on your main line.
What size hook did you use. I’m hopefully trying from a pier in Scotland and they looked a good size.
I cant remember but I think it would of been a size 1/0 or 2/0.
OMG can you old ladies stop whining about the music, the size of the float, the lb test of the line, and just enjoy the video????
Nope
Yeah it happens, whenever local Bingo is shut down for refurbishment.
Bro there are too many things wrong here
Hi, good video. If it possible to catch fish in sea on Freshwater Worm bait?
Hi thanks. I think people have been using freshwater worm a little up the river for flounder.
Nice video, i have float gear myself but very rarely use it maybe something i should try a bit more.
Thanks Michael. Aye it’s good fun float fishing.
Hi Gary and Michael
Just ordered 2-5" dennett floats.
Can't wait to use them.
What where the two fish Caught please
Amazing idea.....good
Is there a reason you threaded your rod with the bail arm open or was it a cock up?
Yes it was a mistake.
Nice video Gary. Are windsurfers catch and release?
Im fishing here tomorrow how deep do you set your float?
I usually set it about 6ft to begin with then adjust as the tide comes in or out.
Dont get chance skeggy end to float fish in sea but when we head Norfolk, think ill have a go off Cromer pier 👍
Good luck 👍
What kind of fish is that?
Where is that
South shields pier.
How deep does you bait need to be?
If that's defined as a Pier then am a Billionaire .. lolol . That's the Harbour Wall ... in my book . Similar to Harbour entrance at Ayr
C'mon, they're always called "piers" all over the country. I fish on Whitehaven harbour but nobody calls it a harbour, it's always called a pier. Beats brackin
Those worms got legs!?
Hi, enjoyed the video, do much the same myself. Don't want to sound negative but your reel is way underloaded and whatever line you've got on there has serious memory issues. Looks like a Slinky.
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Cracking vid keep up the good work love the videos thanks for sharing 👌 tight lines
Thanks Vitaliy, Tight lines.
Have tried to use a pilota method?
Nice place....

they do somewhat... but you can still get decent casts in.... larger tip guides ..the better casting
What rod is that?
looks like south sheilds pear to me
My old man used to say push the worm up through the eye of the hook hiding all but the barb love float fishing nice basic vid 👍🏻
Thanks S/V. 👍
Would love to see someone come up with smaller pencil floats made with balsam wood for freshwater application. Germany use to , make them.
30lb mono just incase you happen across a basking shark and need to steer it away from any snags
Ryan Keating 😂😂😂
i know right!
Try a "method" float with a ground bait ball made with fish or squid oil.
How did u get those crab legs like that or did u just buy them from tackle shop never seen that before
I bought them off the internet. A bag of frozen legs.
👌👌👌👌👌👍👏
This is a really good fishing video and would’ve been totally awesome had you kept the trippy theme music going all the way through, maybe just turn it down when you’re talking
How far off the bottom were you?
About 1 foot off the bottom.
Is it English or Japanese.
What time was it when you went to he pier? South Shields is usually rammed by the time I get there.
This was before the mackerel were in so there wasn’t many people on the pier when I made this video. There’s usually less people on there first thing in the morning.
Fishing in the UK ahhh right cheers, great video too btw :)
GOOD TACKLE FISHING....GOOD FISHING OF COURSE
Thanks Horacio.
For more fun try using a heavy duty carp waggler set up.... nothing you'll catch in the upper levels will come close to a big old carp..
Was that a small pollock at the end?
A small Cole fish but you can catch pollock there.
All that music does my head in,not my thing, sorry.
my only thing is.... when there's 2 diff baits on 1 hook you don't know what you caught the fish on !
Where is the the pier
South Shields.
Hi could you tell me what the make of rod you are using.
P. S great video 👍👍👍
Thanks Andy, my dad made the rod years ago I think he used an old century blank.
I would never go heavier than 15 lb on a spinner that size.... maybe 20
Mate, most of us who enjoy fishing do it to escape shit music amongst other things.
the background music is just awful
Video good music irritating
Nicely done lad 👍🏼
what's the location?
Thanks Immy. South Shields pier.
Gary wood in in Birmingham which is the worse place ever for sea fishing 😅
That's a big bobber what you fishing for tuna. LOL
How deep do u go Gary for float fishing
I keep adjusting the float up and down until I get a bite or by what fish I’m targeting like for flounders that are usually on the bottom I’ll set the depth to be quite close to the bottom, if I was targeting mackerel on the float I would have the depth set to about mid water and for the pier I usually start off with about a 6ft drop and adjust up or down from there. Try not to get right on the bottom because that’s where you will get snagged.
Don't forget 'fish go deep'
That’s a cool float you got there! What’s the name of it? I want to buy a few for big bass fishing. Did you buy it from AliExpress?
I think it was a sea tech float. I got it from my local tackle shop but i think you can get them off Amazon or eBay.

Жесть... Катушка с пластиковой шпулей. Спин китайский.
Enjoyed watching except when you let the tag ends of line drop, fishermen get a bad name for littering.
N
Suback
30lb mono?!?! 15lb braid for british waters max!
Trust you picked up the tag ends you snipped off
B b b m.
Horrible music !!
