    12 anos depois o YT me trouxe aqui de volta. Como faz falta esse canal viu. E deu até saudade de voar pela Tam e seu serviço que era muito bom, desde a comunicação visual da empresa . Eu achava que a mudança pra Latam não ia ser tão notável, mas foi sim :(

    Basically to clim o descend you select the new altitude an pull or push the altitude knob... if you pull you get OPEN if you PULL you don't. On OPEN DESC the aircraft will set thrust to idle and descend directly to the selected altitude, will NOT level off at any altitude constrain, while on DESCEND mode it will follow a flight path and level off at any constrain on the flight plan STAR for example, so usually thrust may be needed for that.

    The DES mode guides the aircraft along the descent path computed by the FMGS. The system computes this flight path backwards from the deceleration point up to the top of descent (T/D), with respect to the speed and altitude constraints at the deceleration point, the guidance begins the deceleration to VAPP, to be reached at 1 000 ft above touchdown on the final descent path.

    Your videos like these are very usefull to me because I want to (and hopefully) be an airline pilot exactly an Aeromexico´s pilot and I can see what a pilot does and I can practice in a better way in the Flight Simulator X, I watched the entire video as the previous, The quality is just awesome you explain very well with the blue arrows. All your videos are just fantastic and we all hope that you keep uploading videos like these and when I be a pilot I´ll do the same you´re doing right now.

    When OPEN CLB is engaged, the target speed/Mach is maintained by adjusting the pitch with the elevator, whereas thrust is maintained either by the A/THR, or manually by the flight crew. Speed target may either be selected or managed.
    The OPEN CLB mode disregards all altitude constraints up to the FCU selected altitude.

    On final for ILS you look at the right upper corner of the PFD it will show you the actual landing capability, based on aircraft current systems condition it will display CAT1 CAT2 or CAT3 SINGLE(DUAL)

    With the approach phase activated the aircraft will slow down to green dot, so anything between the = and "green dot" is fine to set FLAPS 1. After that a "S" will show up, so the aircraft will slowdown to S speed, once again anything between the = and S speed is fine to set FLAPS 2.... and so on.... technically in select speed mode you may at any time select a speed bellow green dot, S o F speed.... in any case the aircraft will fly bellow these speeds but never below VLS...

    Its the pitch trim wheel... on the Airbus only used to set the takeoff trim, in emergency it may be used to fly the aircraft when all electrical power is lost...

    It's all done by pulling or pushing the altitude, speed or heading knobs, push it in you get manage modes(DESC or NAV or SPEED WINDOW), pull out you get selected modes(OPEN DSC or HDG or SPEED).

    É a Decision Altitude, caso o tempo estivesse realmente ruim durante a aproximação continuaríamos a aproximação até essa "Altitude de Decisão" caso não seja possivel ver as luzes da pista temos q arremeter, ou seja é a altitude minima do procedimento ILS.

    ROLL OUT é o modo q entra logo apos um pouso em uma pista com ILS, ele usa a informação do localizador para que uma barrinha verde vertical q vc ve no horizonte artificial nos mostre onde está o centro da pista, mesmo em baixa visibilidade.... consegue ver essa barra logo após o pouso? É iqual a do FD...

    Correct, as soon as AP is OFF you see going from CAT3 DUAL to CAT1... there are a list of things that may gradate the landing capability, the beautiful is that you do not have to memorize it, just look at the PFD....

    S is the minimum speed to fly without Stats, while F is the minimum speed to fly without Flaps.... you use those as references to retract the surfaces at takeoff. On approaches we just have to make sure you are below = to extend the set next configuration.... doing that between = and S(or F) looks good.

    Look bellow.... anyway DESD mode is prefered once guides the aircraft along the descent path computed by the FMGS and complies with all altitude constraints on the STAR up to the FCU selected altitude.

    Im wondering, on a boeing you have the green banana arc that will show you your range to selected mcp altitude regardless of ap mode, in manual flight as well. It is a very handy tool to accurately plan the climb/descend profile. I know that on the bus there are hokey stick indicators, but they are shown only on the route and in specific ap modes. How to plan the descend in a similar way to boeing in any other ap mode or off route in the bus ?
