When switching the ADIRS you put one on then wait for ON BAT to extinguish, two on hen wait for ON BAT to extinguish, then switch on ADIRS number three and wait for ON BAT to be extinguished.
He's right, it is a procedure. It's due to the fact that it's putting voltage loads on the battery. Doing all 3 at near enough the same time obviously isn't good, however with its systems it will protect it from surging. To be honest, I've seen loads of pilots I fly with do it all at near enough the same time.
You dont need to start the apu bleed as it takes fuel and its loud the noise so you can wait until u get clearence and then before pushback start the apu bleed you also shouldnt turn on the fuel pumps and the pax sign while refueling because if u turn on the pax sign while refueling if there is a fire then the apx sign will slow you guys down
just watched the 1st minute. SO MANY MISTAKES IN ONE MINUTE! no nav lights on as powering the plane, not making the firetest correctly. didn't wait till the flap of the app was open. Wanted to watch this video for training but I´m way better than that.
Good night. I have a question... These ATC authorizations, how do you get them? Is it a program? Or is there one person to authorize the flight and pass the authorization? Thx
I don't want to be rude, but Pranas did a better job explaining all the steps, checks and cabin flows.. Some checks and steps I remember from Pranas video were rushed and skipped in this one.
Great video! I've been wondering how to startup my A320, it just arrived in the mail today For real though, this is really helpful for Microsoft Flight Simulator!

when you switch on ADIRS to nav in the cockpit preparation ,The sequence should be 123 whereas in the video the pilot has done 132. Thank you for the video presentation kind regards A320 pilot
+Marianne Johannsen yes you are right but the way he did it in the video was wrong. He switched on the Captain's ADIRS then backup ADIRS and at last FO's ADIRS.

ahmad abo sultan Its a small turbine engine in the back of the aircraft tail., it gives electricity and air conditioning like the engine but in a smaller amount .
Because obviously, Airbus builds aircraft for pilots that cannot think, and therefore are not allowed to think. It's really a wonder why Airbus even put any buttons or controls in the cockpit at all. Probably just a guise to make it appear that pilots are in control. But in fact, the computer is in control. ;-) Airbus Tadpole... Am-bisexual French Frog in Metamorphosis
You need its bleed air to start the engines. Once you have one engine started, you an use its bleed air to start the other, but you'd normally only do this if you didn't have the APU and needed to use an external starter to start the first engine.
Hi guys, just curious as i'm soon joining a flying school... +Romanos Nielsen Hi Romanos, what happens is, after going to flight school, when an airline hires you they choose what aircraft you will fly and you will have to get what is called a type rating which is where you learn all the specifics to that aircraft.
weight is big factor yes smarty. check the LPC speeds and youll see wind has nothing to do with flaps setting. weight, temp , rwy length , A/P elev wind changes the speeds for T/OFF not what flap setting you must choose mr all knowing nothing sadly
first off.. get the best education you can, degrees aren't necessary(except in the USA) but would be beneficial.. then you gotta get your licenses so that means picking a good flight school. it can be expensive but there are a few ways to get through it such as cadets hips and whatnot. Why turn on the APU if you have ext power?
it is a standard operation procedure, the a320 manual says you do it. so you do it, also beacuse you need the apu bleed to start engine 2

+XpertPilotFSX In the tail. It is a jet engine in the tail.
I'm puzzled.
Doesn't the APU guzzle fuel? Why not just keep the ext. power on during startup?
APU is needed to start the engines

We need bleed that can only b provided by APU

why turn on apu when external power is on?
