    Great tutorial, only thing i would add is; once you see the bottom of the G/S diamond hit the yellow line (Basically G/S* with APPR armed), start your descent to 700 fpm. Don’t wait for the G/S diamond to be in the center. If you do this, You will avoid changing your V/S excessively and won’t loose that glide slope. Also, since it’s IMC, with a low platform altitude of 2000ft you will definitely be stabilized with Landing checklist completed, before 1000 ft. This is my cheat for RAW DATA ILS. Hope it helps.

    Hi please make more videos about failures and raw data. We miss your work! And you too!

      Hi Lina,
      Firstly thank you for your kind words, in terms of failures we've covered quite a few, go through our list of videos and if you see something we've not done let us know we'll do it, in terms of Raw Data we have videos on that too, actually about 3 of them covering Raw Data, have a look at our playlist.
      Cheers

    if you set the diamond (track) on the dagger (course of the ILS) it is a useful tool and helps a lot.
    Also, the simple rule is that the rate of descent is half of your ground speed, in this case, our GS was about 140 kt so divided 2 is 700 ft per min.

    Thanks for your videos! Very interesting to learn how real works an A320 . It would be possible to make a video with an EOSID after Engine Failure after V1? including landing ? that would be
    extraordinary to see it on the simulator! thanks a lots and regards from Canary Islands!

    A question sir when the student is flying the ILS is he going to be asked by the TRI to fly it manually without the AP like u just did?

    • @waypointsaviation
      @waypointsaviation  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Ibrahim,
      Yes! Student pilots are asked to manually fly the ILS in two ways, with the FDs for guidance and the more challenging one is Raw Data within the FDs. This is just during the training phase and once ever 6 months during our annual PPCs we have to demonstrate a raw data ILS to show hand eye coordination and skill of flying and scanning instruments. But it’s super easy once you know how.

    So you were pitching up n down to maintain Gs using the side stick? And the A/thr was taking care of the power?

    • @waypointsaviation
      @waypointsaviation  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I'm hand flying the A/C with the Side-Stick while Auto-Thrust is maintaining speed for me. In more extreme cases I'd even switch off the Auto-Thrust and manage that too manually.

    1000 ft. Not configured (final flap) GO AROUND. you were unstable.

    • @waypointsaviation
      @waypointsaviation  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yup that’s the right move to make, the focus here was more on the raw data technique. But again, yes you’re right if you’re not stable by 1000 go around

    Very detailed explaination, am not a pilot, come up with a question why fly the raw data ILS need to have FD off? is that becasue of TRACK and FPA thing?

    • @waypointsaviation
      @waypointsaviation  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for your comment, in Pilot terms "Raw Data" is basically a skill every Pilot must demonstrate he/she has and pass, it shows the Pilot has the skill to safely fly and maneuver the A/C without the AID of the Flight Directors. WE use the TRK/FPA (bird) to help us gain more accuracy while doing the Raw Data Maneuver.
      Hope this answers your question :)

    Looks so easy when you fly it :) and when is thebest moment to extend flaps 1 while flying raw data, because the beginning of this video you are already at flaps 1 configuration?

    • @waypointsaviation
      @waypointsaviation  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      it depends on many variables, but normally 12 - 15 Nm from landing
