I don't understand how Any parent can be so selfish as to dump their kids along with the marriage.They should be adult enough to keep the kids separate from the marriage.

Do you notice how it's always kids looking for parents who abandoned them? Never the parents seeking the children. I sought out my parents too. It was ok at first it ended up going very badly in the end.
Brett is a better person I could ever be, to be abandoned by both parents. I could never forgive them, to put your problems onto your children is unforgivable. You hear your daughter has died and you wait for an invitation that says it all.
Brett deserves better, what kind of father will wait for funeral invitation knowing your own daughter passed away? Brett should continue living without his irresponsible father. His father doesn't deserve him.
I’m not sure friends can rekindle friendships after their lives have gone off in so many different directions. But I hope these two can work t out some how. These guys will be just fine!
America has an even higher estragements. I even pd 500. for a class on estrangements. Ive found peace atlast. Bad dreams occasionally still bring tears. I will always love my daughtercand her family!! I would love to get to know her children. Time will tell.
I can’t imagine Colin has any answers or any legit answers anyway. My guess Dad had criminal issues why he had to leave. I don’t believe the son will accept I don’t want to talk about it!
They turn up by their own choice, if they didn’t want to reconnect they don’t have to participate. Reconciliation can be powerful as well, it can lift the weight off your shoulders that you didn’t realise you were carrying. 😃
