      It is not cheaper in running costs. The Tesla is 1850kg with crazy torque. It eats brakes and tyres like crazy.

      @@FrankHerfjord Oh dear, you're clueless. I've been driving a Tesla for 2 years / 50'000km. Brake pads are like new, even though I use them hard every now and then. The magic trick is called regenerative braking. When I lift off the accelerator, the car slows down to a stop recovering energy, without using the brakes. Tyre use depends on your driving style but electric motors torque distribution works much much quicker than on any ICE car so wear is not increased but lower. Also, insurance is 1/2 of what I'd pay for a similarly powerful BMW. Road tax is exactly zero instead of several hundred. Even expensive supercharging costs me 1/2 of what an ICE car would cost for driving the same distance. Although, I'm charging free solar power while working every day. I'm saving a lot of money while driving a car that's quicker and more advanced than pretty much anything else on the street.

    • @dzerres
      @dzerres 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@FrankHerfjord Not even close. Normal street use there are no brake costs, period. Tires might be a little more because we so much enjoy stomping it at every red light if there's a Porsche or Dodge next us. Worth every penny of the extra tread wear.

    • @FrankHerfjord
      @FrankHerfjord 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@dzerres I'm talking about track use. When driving on the limit, my 2021 performance's P zeros were completely worn out after just three full charges. I have since changed to Michelin Cup2 265/30 and they have heavy wear after just one day.

    Was würdest du sagen sind die Schwächen an dem Auto? Überlege mir auch einen zu holen und ab und zu auf die Renstreche.
    Wie sieht es mit Laden aus an den Renstrecken ?

    • @nikoontrack1173
      @nikoontrack1173  3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      An der Nordschleife kann man super direkt laden. In Spa leider nicht so gut, aber viele Rennstrecken (wie Bilster Berg) bauen da was auf für die eAutos.
      Die Schwäche sind sicherlich die Bremsen, aber das bekommt man in den Griff wenn man die Rekuperation auf 100% stellt. Das führt aber dazu dass nach 10-15 Minuten die Batterie und der Heckmotor zu warm/ heiß werden. Die Leistung wird dann auf ~380ps gedrosselt. Geht dann nur noch so vorwärts wie mit nem E46M3. Für das Geld (unter 50k€ neu) gibts nix vergleichbares. Ein M4 kostet das doppelte und er ist sicher nicht doppelt so gut oder schnell ;-)

    Bonjour, je penses que mieux est facilement possible : vos trajectoires, notamment au Raidillon, et à Blanchimont ne sont pas encore idéales. Combien de tours pouvez vous faire sans diminution des performances par chauffe de la batterie ? Bravo pour cette vidéo, puisque nous savons que pour rouler en Tesla à Francorchamps, il faut accepter de régler l'inscription en sachant qu'on roulera peu, puisqu'aucun superchargeur n'est disponible sur le site.... alors qu'il y a bien une station total ..

      @@Yachtzeee my brakes wore down right to the metal so I also had to change the discs after just twoish track days (four short ones). The nordschleife and spa aren't that bad on the brakes though as it's they're high speed tracks.
      Just make sure to use maximum regen on your track day and coast a bit before you hit the corner on your track days. And DO inspect the brakes when the day is over.

      @FrankHerfjord 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Yachtzeee for any "regular" tracks you will get brake temperature warnings very fast if you drive on the limit. And that warning is not a joke. When it happens, go back to pit with zero brake pedal use, only regen, and take your time before going back out. And most importantly, be sure to let your tyre pressure drop waaaay down before going out at all. 35 psi cold is maximum and you may want to go lower. You never want it to go above much above 40 on track so be sure to check your sensors.

    any overheating problem?

    • @nikoontrack1173
      @nikoontrack1173  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Franco, yes at some time the battery and rear motor are getting hot and power is limited. Also the stock brakes overheat if not using regen. I use 100% regen to save the brakes from wear and overheating. Also outside temperature and tracklayout are important. On normal conditions you can do easy 1 full lap nordschleife, if you do 2 consecutives laps the power will be limited in the last third of the second run. If its colder (10 degree Celcius) this will not be an issue. On a GP track like Spa you can do 5-6 laps (roughly 10-15 minutes) until power gets limited on normal summer day. Limitation is not too bad but you can feel it, acceleration is then similar to E46 BMW M3 with 343Hp. Hope that helps.

    • @francovictor6813
      @francovictor6813 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nikoontrack1173 thanks for the details, anyway if you use full regen, is this significantly increase the battery overheating or there is no such an adverse effect on that?
