@WhyAreYouUpset particles in the air arent the reason we are switching to EVs, as this only affects the lungs of people locally and we know that most people could care less about that. Greenhouse gases on the other hand, are the troublesome ones.
@@romansenger2322 particles in the air are a huge reason why we are switching to EVs. All the smog in cities from ICE cars causes disease and premature death. When you drive an EV normally (not on the track) it barely uses its disc brakes, which contributes to a lowering of particulate emissions. Of course, the lack of a tailpipe reduces particulate emissions way more.
Dear god this acceleration was scary. Big respect for driving it like this. And the cornering speeds on ps4 and this heavy car was even more impressive. That looks like a win for Tesla and the Model S Plaid. I am impressed as to how well it performs there at the ring. You can perceive a couple of its down sides, but for a family sedan, it is Amazing! You can tell that the power and handling is very good. With time, the main down side will improve. The main thing is weight, but that's just the way the tech is at the moment. Manufacturers are investing billions in battery tech, so it will improve over time. At strength for the tech is that the balance is excellent, and the center of gravity is difficult too beat. I am also very amazed and impressed that it is compared to one of the Italian carmakers best, the Ferrari SF 90 Stradalle. One of my favorites from the brand. They say it could have more power, but for driving dynamic, it just isn't necessary. I hope we hang onto combustion tech, but we can't sell Gas after 2035. So for combustion, my hopes are with Toyota and their methods. Toyota is experimenting with Hydrogen and ammonia, that was a surprise to me, Ammonia. I hope Toyota can figure out how to reach Zero Carbon without the downside of Noxides of nitrogen.

Went in both the Plaids before they came to EU. I always wanted to share with people how fast a properly sorted superbike with a good rider is, now you can experience that in a Plaid. The acceleration is different, you actually feel it more in them because you sit upright. On a bike it's closer to how you feel gravity when standing, so it's not the same. Incredible machines and so docile to drive, but you know underneath that pedal is an absolute mountain of energy waiting for you.

@@WhyAreYouUpset It's not the majority. If exhaust emissions weren't so carefully controlled, PM from engine exhaust would be far higher.
Can’f imagine how this is going to perform on semi slicks.

Jeez I was holding on to my seat and I wasn't even there. That beast is friggin' fast, scary fast. You can see Misha's soul leaving his body several times when he realises it might be a bit too late to brake at some of the corners. Can't say I'd want to experience 306 km/h now LOL

Around 39 kWh of energy used in one lap, quite impressive amount to put out in around 8 minutes. And gives an average of around 290 kW (390 Hp) used any given second, and that's including braking so the average while on power (with an estimate that 35% of the laptime is braking) while accelerating would be around 450 kW (600 Hp). Talk about just teleporting between corners, the speed is just insane! Tesla have done an incredible job at being a disruptor, puts the cat among the pigeons. Pushes everyone forwards just out of strong competition.
I've see a lot of intersting laps and Cars here (Great job Misha! :-) ) but THIS lap is INSANE, the way it accelerates, 306km/h easily, what a silent rocket!!!
This car is on a completely different level! The rear facing camera at 5:50 is crazy to watch, you were just stuck behind the golf doing the same speed and it just disappears on the horizon in the blink of an eye. Kind of miss the roar of an ICE but the sheer speed of this thing makes up for the excitement!
That braking from 305 was wild, seemed like a code brown.
Misha not lifting before seeing 300km/t, and the passenger being all for it is my kind of video. Great lap!
Misha is so calm/relaxed when driving. Very impressive driver to say the least.
Love your videos Misha and this one did not disappoint either!!
Just one thing, and I don't mean to be a Karen. You get into such a big variety of cars, both in the sense of speed capability and maintenance condition they are in. That something will go wrong some day is not a matter of driver skill, just a matter of statistics. And I don't want to imagine what would have happened if you'd had lost this one at Schwedenkreuz doing 300 kph without cage, safety harness nor helmet, but a young lady at the passenger seat.
I would love you to keep those videos coming, but to keep them coming for a long time mate! You might want to take a step back here and there and keep it safe ❤

And then battery overheated.
@@HUMC5 After another minute of blitzing the course. Most people would not go this fast. Going 306kph in the top speed section is dangerous so most people would go like 250kph and stop. Because people don't go to the track to die believe it or not lmao. The cooling is amazing! Crazy how it lasted 4 minutes of constant flooring of the pedal. Even after overheating it still would have 400+ hp.
Us average Joe's can finally afford a fast car 😂 he looked like he was guna shit himself tho cuz the braking and handling wasn't up to par with the speed. I've never seen him so tense and oversteering
Your driving was fantastic, to my opinion just the perfect balance between safety and speed 👍
I am glad you have a healthy amount of respect/fear for what you are doing. Those who don't have that sensibility will not make if for too long.
Good luck!
I’m use to seeing these but still it impresses me every time. I’m a diehard ICE car owner but I’m tired of watching and need to participate, if the lack of engine noise bothers me I’ll just get over it while running a 9.2 quarter mile. I’ll make v8 noises with my mouth.
When you watch that lap, the lack of noise really isn't relevant.
Having taken the plunge (don't worry we kept the ICE stuff too). They are ridiculous and well worth a go. For a daily to just drive flat out everywhere I can't see anything beating it (ex RS4/6 lotus owner)
Have you gotten an EV? :o
Don't worry, my wife's r32 can fill the noise for you blowing past in 8 seconds
Or get a motorcycle for a fraction of the cost and still win in the quarter mile

Way more fun on a bike. Not really comparable since as you said you dont feel acceleration as much on a bike as in a car.
WOW I am impressed, the acceleration and power of this thing is insane!
Bro that is absolutely insane that car is so fast it’s bonkers. Misha literally hit about 190 in one of the sketchiest parts. Legit legend dude.

Misha. You are The King of the ring. Brilliant driving. You make it look easy which is a art in itself.
5:10 The tires love you Misha, also nice to see the tire pressures increase over time.
4:53 The way this car picks up speed around 250 km/h shows that 300 km/h is not even close the limit but the traction and the length of the straight are getting the limiting factor really fast.

You can actually see, I think a guesstimate, of what power Misha is able to use by watching the speedo. At first the power meter on the left goes to max and you can see the available power left by how much of that circle is dotted. I wish that this data would be more visible in the main dash though..
On the classic model s in 2013 the power limit was a yellow dotted line. The changed it for aesthetic reasons (and they probably got a bunch of support calls from worried noobs about it :D). You can see it at 15:23 here: "2013 Tesla Model S (Mf) With Significant Battery Capacity Drop"
This thing is absolutely insane beyond comprehension! Watching this car devour everything else on track and seeing the cars just disappear into the background is mind blowing.
