  • The Triumph Tiger Sport 660 and the Honda CB650R both belong to a similar category being the ~650cc entry level big-bike sub 100hp range.
    Both were built for different types of audiences nevertheless they are both really good value for what they are. Naturally after I tested the Triumph Tiger Sport 660, I gave my thoughts on comparing this bike against my own Honda CB650R and shared my preference in this video as well. ENJOY!

    maybe a comparison with Trident 660 would makes more sense to the CB650. on spec low to mid range torque, seems like triumph 660 engine specialty.

      I agree the cb650r and trident would be more apple to apple comparison. I just thought since there’s plenty of those comparisons out there it would be interesting to compare the cb with other bikes I try out. Anyways I’ll try to compare it to the trident when I get the chance to do so :)

    Okay Dude, you have the best videos in comparison at my sight🎉❤
    I’d like to change my nc750d to tiger 660 for daily commuting and some weekend excapes.
    Have you tried it with quickshifter?

      Thank you man! You made my day! I just tried the tiger 660 again last weekend fitted with a quickshifter. It’s superb I have to say. What an improvement to the bike overall.

    I own the tiger 660. flashed it with the DNK tune, added The Zard powder coat black full exhaust system, DNA air filter and nitro racing suspension. Totally different bike. Sporty as hell and allows me to carry shit of long weekends if I wnt. Try carrying shit on your Honda 😂

    Dude, where did you get the elongated barend mirror for your cb650? Couldnt find one in shopee. Great comparison btw

    • @RUBBERNMETAL
      @RUBBERNMETAL  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks buddy glad you enjoyed the content. The mirror had been delisted from shopee but there’s a shop called nuts and wheels that sells something like this probably better quality too. You wouldn’t believe how many mirrors I had gone through to get the right one.

    Nice review. I have a cb650r. Thinking of getting a tiger 660 as a 2nd bike for touring. Do you reckon this is better than it's counterparts like versys?

    • @RUBBERNMETAL
      @RUBBERNMETAL  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for the comment! Nice that you have a cb650r, and for touring the tiger would probably be better as it’s a smoother triple engine, plus the electronics makes it so much better than the versys alone.

    Thanks for doing a comparison , I too have the cb650r ( on order though) and if I'd have known maybe I would have ordered the hornet 750? The tiger does look good and definitely good for long miles.

      We're in the same boat. Paid a booking fee, bike yet to be seen. But i still prefer the CB650R over the Hornet 750. Im a sucker for a 4 cylinder engine...😅

      Glad you enjoyed the content. I hope you get eh Cb650r soon it’s on waiting list everywhere I think to the stage where used bikes with 5 figure mileage are selling at almost brand new prices now.
      Personally the 4 inline scream is so satisfying and ticks the right boxes for me, altho on paper the hornet 750 makes more sense as a more wholesome bike.
      Personally I think the 4 inline in smaller cc bikes are a dying breed as everyone is switching to twins to keep cost low so you could probably sell the CB later if it doesn’t suit you.

    I am between these bikes for city riding primary use and some touring. Which did you feel better accelerated? Also do you think with a higher plastic fairing in front the cb is capable of touring?

    • @RUBBERNMETAL
      @RUBBERNMETAL  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      These two are awesome bikes. Ok for the cb to be taken on tours you’d have to change more than just adding a front fairing. The suspension is quite sharp, too sharp for long rides, the seat is too hard, leg bend is slightly more aggressive, and handlebar is slightly low.
      For acceleration the tiger ‘feels’ fast but the cb is actually faster. Both are quite capable actually but the tiger has more available torque compared to the cb.

    My current ride CB500X & long admired Cafe ride CB650R. I tried ride CB650R & Z800 and really uncomfortable with the wind at high speed. So is there huge difference in exhaust sound if both change to akrapovic exhaust?

    • @RUBBERNMETAL
      @RUBBERNMETAL  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you’re used to a big windscreen on the cb500x then naked bikes will be noticeably uncomfortable at high speeds… that’s actually a way to prevent you from going too fast 😂 for me it’s good because I lack discipline.
      Well in my experience on the exhaust, I think the cb650r without the db killer is too loud for my liking. With the db killer it’s perfect where it’s almost stock volume level when you ride around in low revs but it gets quite vocal if you open the throttle… not too loud that it’s annoying.

    The Tiger is a superb bike!!!! Love it!!! Do you think it is beginner friendly? Thanx :)

    • @RUBBERNMETAL
      @RUBBERNMETAL  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello. Yes other than it having a naughty character and can actually pull serious speeds if you have little self restraint it is easy to ride as a beginner as it is not so heavy and easy to predict.

    Torque = Power
    You need Torque to move weight.

    tus videos desde un punto tecnico no me gustaban pero te di otras oportunidades, pero ahora que veo eres poco profesional y totalmente PARCIAL, elegir una moto solo porque es la tuya, es vergonzoso !! y las justificaciones que intentas dar no tienen ningún peso técnico u objetivo

      Hey buddy, thanks for watching and sorry for not meeting your standards. I’m just an average enthusiast who shares my opinion on my channel.
      There is no right or wrong when it comes to choosing the right motorcycle for you.
      ‘Variety is the spice of life’
      I chose the CB as a matter of personal opinion and doesn’t make me right although there are many instances I wish it was more like the tiger.
