have the '22 Trident. At 66 years old and 165 lbs. I chose this bike because of its all around performance. Had many bikes in my 50 years of street riding and altho I'm in good shape, this bike fits my abilities at this point in life and still can get me away from cagers when I call on it. Thank you for a great comparison.

Yay! Great review sir! Went with the CB650R for these reasons:
    - I like the modern styling better, those headers are really nice to look at.
    - More aftermarket part support
    - Honda reliability
    - love the sound of an in line 4 with aftermarket pipes

My Trident uses for normal riding between 4,5L and 5L per 100km. The claimed 350km you don't get. I have the 81hp version here in Belgium. Here the Honda is more expensive.
    Update Juni 2023:
Now I have more than 9000km and the engine is a bit more raw in feeling, just did a 700km drive where I passed thru Paris.
It's good for both highway speeds up to 180km/h and city riding, Last year I did a trip of 1600km over back roads in Belgium and France in one week, no highway driving.

In love with the new. Baja Orange Trident. I’ve owned and still own several Hondas and they are always super reliable and generally flawless but the sound of that triple and the massive move forward in Triumphs tech and build quality along with reliability I need a Triumph in the garage. Got to ride one and it was a blast but had a weird vibration through the bars that turned out to be the expansion nut for the bar end, one must have broken off during the build and they put another on without extracting the broken piece. My buddy was visibly upset with his new bike until he tapped on the bars and we heard it jingle. We had a good laugh after that.
