Jordan your filming is excellent! All of your practice and passion for film/photography really pays off in these videos. You have your own style thats different from kyle, which is cool.
Thanks for this great walkthrough. Lots of geeky stuff. We added your video to our coverage of this model Couple of things - The color was Daytona Grey on the car inside - It has massage seats but not the individual counter seats - You can order it with exclusive colors so you can have any color you want (more than 50 to choose from)
Just came a bit to late. Seems interesting, but I need an EV now, so I can’t wait till summer. And if I had my choice I’d have a A6 etron avant. I ended up getting a BMW i5. But 95kWh compared to 82kWh seems nice and 380hp with all wheel drive seems about right to me.
Wish you would have addressed more about the suspension options and technology, specifically the the active adaptive air suspension similar to the PASM option with the 2025 Porsche Macan. Kyle addressed this in his video on the Macan and it is my understanding that Audi has this integrated into the air suspension system. From the Audi media kit: "The central chassis control unit, the Electronic Chassis Platform (ECP), regulates the operation of the dampers individually for each wheel every millisecond - depending on the road surface, the driving style, and the mode selected in the Audi drive select dynamic handling system. Electromagnetic damper valves vary the flow of the hydraulic fluid. The optional electronically controlled, adaptive air suspension with continuously adjustable damping system on all four wheels automatically regulates the vehicle level and damping. This gives the electric SUV high ride comfort on the one hand but also offers enhanced driving dynamics on the other. " Maybe you can address a review of how the Audi system compares to the Porsche system. One of the significant benefits electric cars have is the availability of sufficient battery to enable the electric power requirements for these systems. I have never ridden in a car with these active dampening systems but I suspect that they significantly improve BOTH ride comfort and ride performance (the holy grail of automotive suspension systems:). Thanks for the early view of the car.
Good premium EV with great tech for a still reasonable price for a premium EV (The Europe prices have been revealed already starting at €74.5k for the AWD, big battery (100kWh total capacity) option. An RWD version will follow for under €70k and we might even see a smaller battery version for a low €60k price tag. In the US, prices for the AWD big battery version could start at $68k? Looking forward to the A6 e-tron which will have more outgoing styling, better range due to better aerodynamics and maybe even more power. For folks who need the storage space, the A6 e-tron Avant (stationwagon) would be an ideal solution
As a "fat e-tron" owner, I likes the looks and sound of this car! The size is sensible, and the feature set sounds attractive. Frankly I wonder what if anything will continue to be unique and desirable only in the Q8 (aside from massaging seats). The tech seems like a big step up, especially the screens, Android OS, one-pedal driving, and possibly the battery design details. Looks are fine, if a bit conventional. Glad to see air suspension, presence of a decent frunk, and what looks like good rear seat space. Oh, and one of the best changes -- Audi has moved the charge ports to the rear corners, which will facilitate charging at Tesla Superchargers!
Awesome video Jordan.. Detailed and thorough review 👍 There's one version I would love to both see and hear more about.. The Sportback. I would also appreciate manual preheating.. This should be a driver's choice. Regardless if someone will abuse it.. If the only negative are that it uses more energy then I don't see a problem. I also use more energy if I hammering my XC40 instead of driving more relaxed.
Great video! Sounds like a great car that is trending a little toward the Q4 e-tron rather than the Q8 e-tron. Disappointed to hear Jordan say "get the Q6 e-tron unless you want the massaging seats of the Q8 e-tron" What, I can't get a Q6 e-tron with massaging seats? Thanks for finally posting this video. Now we need more specifics from Audi on when we can purchase in the US?
Exactly … I hate this trend toward bigger wheels - more expensive, more weight, less range, less sidewall, less safe, and in my mind much uglier and absurd-looking (clownish)
Yes totally agree about the piano black shit. I really hate this because it's a fingerprint magnet and it's scratches magnet as well and dust can seen very easily. I personally think that they need to do much more silver and black matte interior parts
I don’t understand this obsession amongst automakers for piano black interiors … pretty much everybody hates it, from reviewers to potential buyers… why not matte black?!?!
@@cbatiau2528 yes I totally agree with you brother Everyone hates the piano black I really don't know why they do it all the time Believe they think it looks luxury but it's totally bulshit Just do it black matt or silver Matt Just not shiny and gloss .
What rims are those on Alyssa’s e-tron? I also have a fat e-tron prestige and that full blackout looks awesome. I would love to change out my silver trim for black, too.
Anyone know when Audi is going to rework the Q4 E-Tron to use the PPE architecture? I don't need the size of the Q6, but I need closer to 275 mile range to get up to Breckenridge and back on a single charge in the winter.
Nicely done. Thanks the in depth explanation of this platform. And yeah, the fake grill/vents are such absurdity. It's a nice looking car, but if feels like they skimped on design. Same for the storage area between driver & passenger. Why is that space so wasted? Is there a lump of electronics under there? Why an ash tray and cigarette lighter? Is this some strange attempt at retro-modern? Over all a thumbs up, but staying timid like this will just leave consumers hesitant. Be bolder, Audi! You can do it!
Just ordered ours in Europe. All wheel drive Q6 with most of the tech, but none of the styling options. Real nerd spec. 😂 if you guys are in Germany you can drive ours in approx February. 🎉
The “thermos looking thing” is an ash tray. European cars still come with “smoker package” opinions. The ash tray is removable for cleaning or just not using it if you don’t smoke.
We just took our 2019 Etron in for service and since getting it back, our efficiency is up from 2.8 miles per kilowatt hour to 3.0/3.1. They did a software upgrade and I have been reading online that the thermals have been addressed to get more efficiency. Has anyone else notice this? We use to not use the AC much to keep our efficiency up but now we can use AC auto and get better mileage than we did with the AC off. If we now turn AC off we can get up to 3.3/3.4 miles per kilowatt hour now. If Out of Spec has any details on this it would be great to know. Thanks
It’s barely more cargo space than q4 but has a bit more passenger volume. Q8 is bigger for passengers and storage. Maybe this will hold a car seat better than the q4, something that is needed for a lot of people.
The front storage space, even if it is quite small, is ideal for storing charging cables. Under the floor at the rear is pointless and inconvenient if you're carrying luggage or groceries.
I have to say that is a bit curious they went OLED with all the problems with auto dimming and HDR that work against Burn In, especially because on a car, you are always cycling in between the same type of images back and forth. Finally they updated the look of their SW that was long due an overhaul.
Front Trunk. I expect it with a larger front end. Otherwise, not necessary with short nose vehicles, such as the ID4 / Q4, where they designed a vehicle to maximize cabin volume.
If it is the same fabric on the interior parts as the Q4 e-tron it will hurt your elbows when wearing a t-shirt etc. it’s quite coarse and uncomfortable.
The car looks nice, but am surprised that Audi didn’t add the NACS port for the USA. I’m sure they will go the route that Tesla did with the Y by removing the piano black in the interior.
Let's hope they fixed the cooling reservoir overflowing into the motor and killing off either the front or rear motors. 4 Years since e-tron 55 came out and they're still blowing motors on '23 and '24 e-trons.
People drive with LED light bars on so it really doesn’t matter 3:43

I love that cars suddenly became something youre supposed to "bling", electronically... for a charge. I feel like they treat customers like evil developers treat kids playing mobile phone games. To be perfectly clear, this is not at ALL something only Audi does.
The rear seating suffers from the same issue which many EV's have; no leg support above the knees for taller people. This will lead to discomfort and numbness on longer journeys.
Electric SUVs should be designed to be super aerodynamics so you can drive them on the autobahn at 180km/h and still have decent range, as you would do with a combustion one.
Nice video. I love the interior, but even with the new technology, I still think EV technology and US infrastructure is a bit too immature to own an EV. When will you do a video on the upcoming PPC Q5?
Love the all-metal roof, but will Audi ruin it by making glass roofs standard for Americans? Great that they allow one-pedal driving - a plus over the Macan Electric
My big question is what ridiculous subscription fees for what features are going to be on this car. The new A3 is loaded with subscriptions for features and if that's the direction Audi is heading in that I am definitely not buying this or any other Audi even if it's otherwise a good vehicle. It's almost like they forgot what happened to BMW when they tried a subscription for CarPlay a few years ago
Personally waiting for the A6 etron
Its Coming in Late May/Early June
The editing in Jordan's videos is fantastic....
The "Thermos" is an ashtray :D
I heard that and started laughing sooo hard
I don’t know why anyone would hate a front trunk. It’s extra storage space lol! Typically it’s the perfect place for your charging cables if anything.
Jordan your filming is excellent! All of your practice and passion for film/photography really pays off in these videos. You have your own style thats different from kyle, which is cool.

I’m impressed that you so ably improvised without your phone notes! It’s been great to see you back on the OoS videos.

But remember, with Audi if you want quality features you have to add a “package”, like Premium Package, so the price goes up.

Great job Jordan.
Fantastic Audi ❤
Great job, Jordan!
The Top Gear reference made me laugh. 😉
Thank You folks for supporting Electric Vehicles and for All that you are doing for our Planet Earth.... Peace.. Shalom.. Salam.. Namaste 🙏🏻 😊 🌈 ✌ ☮ ❤
I love a frunk especially during cold winter months for keeping groceries cold during ride home. Extra storage is always welcome.
Great review!
In the US they should put a NACS connector on the left side and a CCS1 on the right side. Would be amazing!
Great idea, because CCS charging isn’t going away and is in fact being built out more as we speak - a requirement with federal funding
27:00 this is so nice to see! Amazing work by Audi. This will for sure catch all the tech enthusiasts 👌🏽
Great video Jordan!
SQ6 looks like a very tasty entry on my ev dream list 😄
Great view!
One pedal driving on a VAG EV: Finally!
Awesome video Jordan.. Detailed and thorough review 👍 There's one version I would love to both see and hear more about.. The Sportback.

Tytyty for da QUALITY informative review classic out of specs !!!👍
It looks suuuuuper overstyled imo! But better than some others.

Let me guess, US models will get blinking brake lights as turn indicators.
Most likely, and most annoying.
Nice car. Thanks for the review.
I think it looks great
5:40 Why would we want those bigger 21" wheels at all? The 18" wheels would give a much smoother ride and better range, too. Weird take.
Exactly … I hate this trend toward bigger wheels - more expensive, more weight, less range, less sidewall, less safe, and in my mind much uglier and absurd-looking (clownish)
It looks good but the piano black interior parts kill it for me.

Believe they think it looks luxury but it's totally bulshit
Just do it black matt or silver Matt
Just not shiny and gloss .
Good news!
The front end looks like a previous gen. Hyundai Kona.
Yes! GIVE IT TO ME! I need money, now!
What rims are those on Alyssa’s e-tron? I also have a fat e-tron prestige and that full blackout looks awesome. I would love to change out my silver trim for black, too.

Why, pray tell, would you need a middle ground between the q4 and the q8?
And no 3rd row SUV in their lineup
The same reason they have the Q3, Q5, and Q7 options for the ICE models.
It’s barely more cargo space than q4 but has a bit more passenger volume. Q8 is bigger for passengers and storage.
Maybe this will hold a car seat better than the q4, something that is needed for a lot of people.
Afternoon Jordan
Unsure if you said - is this Daytona Gray or Manhattan Gray?
The front storage space, even if it is quite small, is ideal for storing charging cables. Under the floor at the rear is pointless and inconvenient if you're carrying luggage or groceries.
Well done. Thanks!
I have to say that is a bit curious they went OLED with all the problems with auto dimming and HDR that work against Burn In, especially because on a car, you are always cycling in between the same type of images back and forth. Looking forward to some truly blowout lease deals on the q8 etron
Are there no DC fast chargers in Ft Collins? Looking to drive up there and couldn't find much.
6:00 not the side blade, so the Side-ussy?
Really taking Volkswagen Group to heart
I wish we had the solid roof option.
I think that BEVs should have at least the option of a full-size spare wheel/tire in the frunk
I guess Kyle would be jealous about the review :D
Edit: he is at the Macan E event ?
Maybe the battery is different because of different power. Maybe they use a different vendor in US for cells
nice 2 ports
But, how does it compare with the Vinfast?
The car looks nice, but am surprised that Audi didn’t add the NACS port for the USA. I’m sure they will go the route that Tesla did with the Y by removing the piano black in the interior.
Frunk 4 Ever!
Great car but I think I'm more inclined to get a Macan. Never making a buying decision based on a frunk. Take it or leave it.
Let's hope they fixed the cooling reservoir overflowing into the motor and killing off either the front or rear motors. 4 Years since e-tron 55 came out and they're still blowing motors on '23 and '24 e-trons.
So would this be Lyriq sized?
A little smaller - the Lyriq is actually Q8 sized
12:13 not really sold on the utility of front trunks, but… meh. I love my ID4 so, yeah. 🤷♂️😸
Wow to the 5 computers running the thing. Expensive takes on another meaning with this " thing''.

Really sharp looking car.

Rear quarters look like a ‘73 Ford Grand Torino wagon from the side.

whats the ground clearance?
It's the distance between the ground and the bottom of the vehicle.
Are you sure about the Manhattan color? I believe it’s Daytona.
There is a Q8 ICE SUV and yes there is a Q8 e tron
Want to see if Audi has route planning with chargers and access to Tesla superchargers
Glad it has one peddle driving. A real shame Porsche doesn't offer it.
Nice video. I love the interior, but even with the new technology, I still think EV technology and US infrastructure is a bit too immature to own an EV. When will you do a video on the upcoming PPC Q5?
Hoghly doubt this is Manhattan gray since that is near black. Pretty sure this is Daytona gray.
Love the all-metal roof, but will Audi ruin it by making glass roofs standard for Americans? Great that they allow one-pedal driving - a plus over the Macan Electric
people really ask why audis have a fake grill? ofcourse because of design isues! And I like that. otherwise you can buy a tesla if you dont need that.
A fine car indeed, which 9/10ths of all EV drivers can never afford!
Millions of Americans have taken OSHA training and in that world, PPE is personal protection equipment. 😅😂😂
Steering wheel seems massive, and a little too much gloss black
Interior screens killed it for me. Just not a fan of the look of them.
You mentioned this is Manhattan Grey? Not Daytona? Really?
So they have that big, high non-aero front end to make it look like a fossil car?
You can use full functionality of matrix I the us .. just not too bright
Audi tt ev plz!!!!
Macan vs Q6???
Looks like the 2018 Hyundai Kona 💀
Not a thermos. It's an ash trey 😊
Bring back sedans
Looks like a q4. But has price of a q8 Etron
THIS video has a familiar intro.
I don’t like big wheels. Give me efficiency and ride every day.
