I wonder what US dealer markup will be on this? I don't see Audi building these in large volume which usually equates to dealer markups!

Just want to add it is incorrect that it does not have massaging seats. The SQ model in Munich did have it. I am not sure about the plasma blue model on display in Munich. But it is an option.
But it does not have individual contour seats.
Given many of the OEMs don't produce EV's in large volume I would wait for the depreciation hit on these before even considering purchasing. I don't want to end up like Taycan owners whose values have dropped significantly! Just wait to buy these in the used car market in about two years at a 35% discount IMHO.
Great discussion! One thing that doesn't make sense about the Q6 E-Tron is the cargo capacity is much smaller than the Q4 E-Tron, but it's suppose to be a larger vehicle? Can you guys give the cargo specs in your reviews? That's something I notice you guys seem to forget in all your reviews. I'm more interested in cargo space and child seats than racing cars on tracks.
It is 12 modules with 15 cells per module. Modules are in serial giving it a 3.6Volt x 180 nominal voltage battery
Hard to take this seriously as a 'review' when you keep saying it's something 'nobody cares about'. Just because you aren't the target customer doesn't mean the vehicle should be dismissed. Many people don't want to drive a spaceship- they want a traditional looking car that happens to be electric and that seems to be who Audi is targeting. As a Q4 owner, that's why I chose that- it had all the traditional controls and interfaces, it just happened to be electric. Sounds like Audi understand their customers with these choices.
Which car are the most selling car now a days?😳 I think if car manufacturers will survive, they probably must go a bit further and do a more futuristic design, and not just say it in the marketing like Audi do!?😳😉

@@boenill Not every buyer wants to lose all the mechanical controls in their car, or lose the turning signal stalks, etc.. it's okay of one manufacturer does that but I kind of like that we have choices to not be forced into that model if we do not want to. It's not a right or wrong thing- it's giving buyers choices to be more comfortable with their transition to EV's
@@ArbitraryFilmings Exactly. i've had multiple BMW's and Audi over the years and I choose them for the overall quality of the vehicle, the total driving experience and an extremely positive service experience. I had seen so many reports both online and from friends with Model Y about poor build quaility that I was unwilling to accept. Yes, I paid more and don't have a minutes regret about it. My Q4 is rock solid with not a single mechanical, electrical or build-quality issue of any kind in the year I've had it. We need to let go of this view that the only thing that matters in an EV is the specs. The obsession that every EV must have the best possible specs is what's driving prices so high and keeping many potential new buyers out of the market. And when I see a reviewer say that 'nobody cares' about this vehicle, I say the reviewrt is caught in a bubble and out of touch with the real world.
Doubt the Q6 is going to sell much due to pricing. It is much more expensive than its competition.
Here in Norway the VAT is only applied for the sum above 500k NOK, and the Q6 starting at 760k means 52k of that is VAT. 760k is almost 71k USD in case you're wondering.
You can get a new Model Y LR Dual motor for less than 540k NOK that's just over 50k USD. The BMW iX3 can be found for around 610k or ~57k USD.
I don't know what Jordan's schedule is like, but as I understand it, there is a long version of ID Buzz available for journalists somewhere in Europe that will be coming to your market.
Most German car companies would probably compare cars based on sizes or corresponding segments. The Q6 is basically the same length as the Model Y, with the Model Y being a full-sized SUV and the Q6 more like an "executive segment" model.
Tech-wise the Q6 has far more to offer in terms of charging performance. The Q6 is priced more or less the same as the updated but outdated Q8 e-tron, at least in Germany. There were news about Audi bringing an A4 e-tron to market based on the PPE, but looking at price differences between a combustion RWD Q5 (base price 50,000€) and an electric AWD Q6 (75,000€), I have my doubts if this is really possible.

The official starting price is actually £69,700, as per the Audi UK for the Q6 E-Tron.
But it's most likely to be less in the US (in real money USDs), since that's about the price of the Q8...

It’s sitting on a good platform. Do people really want a vehicle that looks like a faux ICE vehicle though? I don’t.
Well, actually I think a lot of people do want that. I haven’t taken a poll but it’s something I hear a lot. Reviewers often praise an EV for not looking too weird or for looking like a “normal” car.

If you want a generic looking vehicle buy a Tesla... A grille, is far more distinctive....
Car is fine, whatever, but if Audi is gonna continue on the trend of charging subscriptions for features like they are with the new A3 I will never buy one no matter how good of an EV it is.

Yeah, the aggression some EV pundits have about the CCS to J3400 transition is getting old. Just because the future is defined, just demanding we should flip immediately isn't realistic. It's going to take some time for a smooth transition for the entire EV community.
I don't understand the leaving out of the luxury features like massaging seats. A premium platform without the premium offerings. Any word on Dog/Camp mode? How will OTA work? Is this CARIAD or the Android stack referred to here?

Teutonic efficiency is starting to become a major impediment for German automakers. For example CCS1 is the most efficient interface in North America for 800 volt architecture vehicles at this time...
But buyer psychology, usually cares more about having the latest technology.... It's also why German UIs, tend to be, the least intuitive....

Audi EVs were a yawn for price / performance. Maybe this new platform will revive them. Interior and range of Q6 is impressive in Jordan’s review. But we don’t know price and have seen a driving review.

less range? audi 460 km model Y 435 (ev-database), 50% more towing, charge speed(curve), interior, quality feeling, look. just to mension some things.
