    Audi Germany are showing a lot more information on this than the UK website.For instance it shows colour and wheel options but unfortunately I would like to know roughly what the Edition 1 spec costs above the base model price. The Edition 1 model includes 21" alloys with red break calipers, passenger screen, matrix signature lights and a proactive passenger protection system to the front, side and rear of the car, and a painted front grill. It also shows the Edition 1 model is available in two colour choices, magnet grey and ascari blue. On the base model it appears you get leather heated seats to the front and rear as standard, a heated steering wheel, B&O 3D sound system (with speakers in all headrests) plus the augmented head up display. It also seems there is an S Line trim option between the base and Edition 1 versions. I've also read that sales will begin in the UK from April 30th and I'd expect deliveries in the autumn.

  • @ISuperTed
    @ISuperTed 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

    First thoughts are it looks exactly like any other Audi Q model, visually nothing to distinguish it. Whilst that’s okay for people that like the shape, it comes across as a jacked up Q4 and it won’t have a £60k starting price, more like £70k when you add the usual raft of options on any Audi that should be standard.

    • @XENONEZZ2
      @XENONEZZ2 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You were correct... actually probably closer to £80 for the 'base' model with a few options added.
      The first drive home from dealers will cost an easy £10k in depreciation..😢.

    Should I wait for the Q6 e tron to be available in the US by late this year or just lease a Q8 e tron now? I like the faster charging speed and new tech of the Q6, but would take advantage of the bigger back seat and trunk in the Q8. If price were the same, I would get the Q8, but Q6 will obviously be cheaper, but maybe minimally so right at launch.

    Not sure about the grill, presumably it's not letting any air through so I think they could have made it look better.
    All car testers seem a bit obsessed with storage in the cabin. Personally I'm rarely bothered by lack of space to put anything around me when I'm driving and some of the centre storage space just sits almost empty most of the time, so it's a waste of space!

The Audi Q6 is "typical" Audi on the outside on purpose, because the average Q6 buyers want practicality and elegant understatement. What’s so clever about the purpose built EV platform (PPE) it’s nothing new to design an EV from the ground up?!
    Questions still to be answered -
    1. 800v architecture?
    2. V2L?
    3. One peddle driving?
    4. Heat pump as standard?
    5. What type of battery chemistry is it?
    6. Any recycled material credentials?
    7. Pano roof option? (Was very dark in the back)
    I couldn’t give a damn about having the option to personalise the lights, save your time and R&D budget and make the cars cheaper!
    Conclusion - Audi claims it’s groundbreaking, which it probably is for them, but they’re still behind other brands! It needs such a large battery because its tech and efficiency still isn’t actually that good! Save your money and get a Renault Scenic Etech for the same boot size and range!

    8:51 a real shame is they are using the cheapest, most glossy plastic to cover the mostly used area. this piano black console cover looks terrible!

    BMW have literally lost the plot whilst Audi have lost the ability to make a car less dull. New car designs are mostly so boring these days

    Big car with (relatively) big promises and a big number of physical buttons and switches. Do you believe those promises? Those were never met by Audi in the past so I don’t know… Catch up game.

    This Audi looks like it has a 80s body kit fitted! I don’t see that being very aerodynamic. Never believe the manufacturer spec.. you can’t compare a vehicles range when it has a bigger battery.. 94kw.. it’s not about how big the battery is, it’s how efficient the car is! Why 2 charge points?? There is no need for this, it’s another gimmick that’s not needed and you’ll pay for!

    So it took them a few good years to catch on with the dual screens first seen in Mercedes and BMW ages ago… right.. without bringing any other technology innovations.. right… and a Tesla model 3 manages to even have a screen at the back and still offer more leg room to the rear middle seat… right.. groundbreakingly mediocre as ever😅
