I’d wait a while longer than that! It looks like a good if not great EV and Ginny’s initial review is about the most clear and concise I’ve watched so far so a 👍 from me.
What a stupid comment. These will only sell as salary sacrifice cars and you won’t see them until years old with no options on them. They are slow shit and it costs £70k not £60k 😂
Design - looks like an Audi... Price - just like an Audi. I like Audis, they all drive brilliantly, but my budget doesn't run in their direction any more.
First thoughts are it looks exactly like any other Audi Q model, visually nothing to distinguish it. Whilst that’s okay for people that like the shape, it comes across as a jacked up Q4 and it won’t have a £60k starting price, more like £70k when you add the usual raft of options on any Audi that should be standard.
You were correct... actually probably closer to £80 for the 'base' model with a few options added. The first drive home from dealers will cost an easy £10k in depreciation..😢.
Lovely review with lovely commentary. Very much the devil in the subtle details😉. Interesting that both videos of the Q6 e-etron don't show the other charging port.🤔
Audi Germany are showing a lot more information on this than the UK website. For instance it shows colour and wheel options but unfortunately I would like to know roughly what the Edition 1 spec costs above the base model price. The Edition 1 model includes 21" alloys with red break calipers, passenger screen, matrix signature lights and a proactive passenger protection system to the front, side and rear of the car, and a painted front grill. It also shows the Edition 1 model is available in two colour choices, magnet grey and ascari blue. On the base model it appears you get leather heated seats to the front and rear as standard, a heated steering wheel, B&O 3D sound system (with speakers in all headrests) plus the augmented head up display. It also seems there is an S Line trim option between the base and Edition 1 versions. I've also read that sales will begin in the UK from April 30th and I'd expect deliveries in the autumn.
Looks great. The displays inside are very disjointed like the passe her side was an after thought. How often does Audi change their design language? Because I think they need to start delivering something new or more epic
Should I wait for the Q6 e tron to be available in the US by late this year or just lease a Q8 e tron now? I like the faster charging speed and new tech of the Q6, but would take advantage of the bigger back seat and trunk in the Q8. If price were the same, I would get the Q8, but Q6 will obviously be cheaper, but maybe minimally so right at launch.
Not sure about the grill, presumably it's not letting any air through so I think they could have made it look better. All car testers seem a bit obsessed with storage in the cabin. Personally I'm rarely bothered by lack of space to put anything around me when I'm driving and some of the centre storage space just sits almost empty most of the time, so it's a waste of space!
Let's imagine this can do 300 miles of motorway range. In the UK, a 300 mile journey is going to take 6-7 hours. That's at least one, but probably two (for the elderly people who can afford this car) wee and food stops. Just charge the bloody car when you stop so you're not hogging all of the raw materials and lugging around a ton of batteries that you don't need.
Sounds very clever, but they seem to have forgotten that frontal area has a massive effect on drag, even if the drag coefficient is good it's still just a slippery barn door being forced through the air. I'll be impressed when they put this tech in a normal sized car.
Thank you for a preview where I got some detail I did not get elsewhere. The bits about efficiency were especially interesting. The detail of UK pricing made me think again compared with EU pricing starting €79k. That said I would not buy one because I still can not live with the UI/UX and shiny bits. And BTW its score on aerodynamics is not that good.
I am looking at Audi e-Tron Q6 or iX3 that I believe should show up in 2025. I am not sure if I should wait for BMW or go for the Audi QS6 e-tron is is in the market for new orders. What shall I do? I am not sure if you allow yourself to recommend one against another!
So smaller battery and longer time needed for 10 - 80% than with EV9. So it is possible that for 20 minutes of DC charging, the cars will get a similar range. 🤔
@@MFcarving Having watched another review I now know what you mean. It looks better than the previous wheels, but I'd have to test it for myself to make sure these buttons aren't so easily activated by accidental touches.

"It looks very Audi." Exactly, the photocopier styling of Audi, just 10% bigger or smaller, bores my socks off. Xpeng and Nio now offer fresh and better designs.
Lol, NIO and Xpeng look generic as f. In a few years nobody will remember the design. The interiors are beyond ugly, sticking a tablet on the dashboard is just lazy engineering, similar to Tesla. Nobody in this price range does better interiors than Audi. The Audi Q6 is "typical" Audi on the outside on purpose, because the average Q6 buyers want practicality and elegant understatement. Audi will be way more aggressive styling-wise with the Audi A6 e-tron and A6 e-tron Avant. They will look absolutely stunning and more agressive for a premium but reasonable price.
The price is ridiculous for a vehicle that does not look like $$$$. Very utilitarian design. Nothing of the future. May be great engineering, but at that price I think most of us want a looker. I'd probably rather have the new Leaf.
how the hell did Audi release this design over a year after the future A6 e-tron concept? This looks almost identical to the old e-tron SUV. The pointless grille at the front makes it look not like a pure EV, and more like an ICE car that was given the electrification treatment
Would be great for car manufacturers to start having modular interior parts. If I don’t like the material 5 years later I should clip it off and buy new ones (far fetched).
The current car in the driveway is an Audi convertible. The previous car was an Audi convertible, so it's safe to say I love the Audi identity, but please roll on the audi ev cars
