Today I need your help getting out of a rut. Ask any of my friends and they'll tell you I haven't been myself lately. No shame in it - everyone feels down sometimes. But, today, I decided to set things back on the right track with a Super Sunday Reset. It's probably less intense than most of the Sundsy Reset videos you see on TH-cam but it was a big one for me.

🍊 Living abroad can be really difficult. I lived in Spain for only 3 months and it was arguably one of the toughest periods of my life. Everything feels harder when you deal with it alone plus have that language barrier. And the rest of the world is going on as normal. I love traveling but remember feeling isolated and not even having the energy/guts to just get on a bus and go see sights. It's OK to want to keep the blinds down on the train every now and then and just rest. You've got this.

I totally agree, especially with the "the rest of the world is going on as normal;" things are still as-is at home and the locals are facing the same barriers so it can feel really isolating some times. It crazy how your world can become so small even when you're abroad to expand it.

@@CamilleBlais Hehe, it's winter my side of the world (South Africa) so all about the Citrus right now.. (gosh I would struggle not having cheap fruits if I was in SK😅) the isolation I think is quite common where there's still a language barrier. I have other expat friends dealing with the same thing in other countries. I really hope it gets better once your language improves or that you can join some Meetups or clubs where English is welcome. But it's also normal to feel stuck in different ways and ok to choose change. Enjoy the summer!

I‘m actually planning on starting the EPIK teaching program South Korea in the spring, and your videos have given me a good idea of what living in Korea is really like today.
