  • This is the first video of my channel! Thank you all for stopping by!
    I am upgrading my Ducky One 2 Mini keyboard, with a new base, a set of new keycaps, and lubed switches! (I don't have any soldering iron to desolder the switches so I used the easy method). The result is still quite a bit difference than stock! An enthusiast grade Ducky perhaps?

      Honestly this is not the best way to lube. My other video shows the proper way to lube but requires the switches to be out of the pcb. If you really want to lube it this way use as little lube as possible, I used way too much lube in this video. Just lube the left and right inner sides first and see if you like the feeling of it.

    I love this video as I'm new to this hobby so this let me find good mods to do for my ducky and what lubing technique to use. The only thing I'm worried about is do the key presses sometimes not register? I know spray lubing can cause it and you didn't spray lube but you also didn't desolder the switches to tear them apart. Has this method worked fine for you and you never had any issues with the key presses not registering? Just curious, thanks!

    • @howardishere
      @howardishere  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! Yes I have experienced that key presses sometimes not registering. It’s because I used way too much lube here. Start with very minimal lube. My other keyboard video has a better lubing technique, but requires switches to come off completely.

    (might be a dumb question) but is lubing something you have to do only once and it’s always good or does it need to be redone every once in a while?

    • @howardishere
      @howardishere  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      lubing will last a very long time, it probably will outlast the life of the keyboard itself lol just lube once and be done with it. But I would say that proper lubing is best - to lube the switches first then install it on the plate / pcb (like how I did in my other video) hope this helps!
