@@Aslash304 Thanks! I'm looking forward to seeing more about the Prologue in action. Much like you out in WV, we have some pretty bad charging deserts here in California, so V3 access is opening a couple of corridors that required L2 AC charging to access just a week ago.
I love that we have access now. I’m not worried about the speed or the cost. It’s just so nice to be able to go without worry
Will this work with the Acura zdx?
It should. Tell the app it’s a Cadillac Lyriq
Regardless of the charging speed, access to the best and most ubiquitous network is stress relieving. Ford and Rivian can simply plug and charge. Is this not possible with GM/Honda EVs?
From experience it’s plug and charge (I own a mache) but I might keep it off plug and charge just due to the subscription which knocks off 10c per KwH
I know the current method works. And since my access is a technicality, I’ll just do it this way for now.
how much is the adapter?
Should be links in the description. Around $180.
You can charge the car while it's on? ???
Of course. That way you get all the data
What do I do because the Tesla stations are not showing up
I am happy to help you. I need to know more specifically what the issue is. If you are referring to a specific charger, it may not be NACS enabled. If you input your vehicle as a prologue in the Tesla app, you aren’t going to see them, it needs to be a blazer EV. If it’s something else, feel free to reply with additional questions.
Nice to know.......GM Prologue.
Exactly
Is there a setting or something on the adapter? I'm only getting 50kwh.

Getting an adapter is kinda redundant since most if not all of available Tesla supercharging stations for non Tesla cars already have the magic dock
Let’s look at all the superchargers with a magic dock. There’s a total of 45 in the United States. Yes. Total. I went through and individually counted every supercharger available with an adapter in every state. The total number of available superchargers with an adapter is 1249. Still think it’s redundant? Hello fellow Prologue owners..... whats the max kw that we can charge at a supercharger station??
The car is limited to 150kW, you may get to 155 or so in the right conditions, but that’s the max for the car, same at all other chargers. Fully explained here: th-cam.com/video/v8fzyVfuw7E/w-d-xo.html&si=HWop9lChKRugwp_a
On my Tesla app it doesn’t say charge my other EV
Does it say “charge non-Tesla?”
Amazing
It’s nice to have

Thanks for watching
For some reason I was unable to get the Tesla plug to plug into the adapter. Not sure why.
Send it back. Likely a defect. I’ve seen it before
@@Aslash304 it shows that it is connected to the vehicle, but the app says it cannot detect the vehicle. Did you set yours up as a 2024 Chevy Blazer EV in the Tesla app?

Yes. This is true for every non-Tesla EV

Hello, If possible try to charge Hyundai kona electric 2024 using Nacs to ccs adapter at Tesla Supercharger, and let me know if it works ,thanks in advance
@@raghuprathap3562 Hyundai doesn’t have access to the supercharger network, technically Honda doesn’t either, however, because the prologue is built by GM, that’s why this works. Hyundai will get access soon, and there will be a lot of fanfare around it.
@Aslash304 thanks for the response ,please post on channel when access is granted to Hyundai
Does the supercharger actually understand that you're connected to a specific car? If I tell the Tesla App I'm charging a Blazer, can I charge a Porsche Taycan? I didn't think the Honda Prologue was a GM-based EV like Acura's version of the Lyriq....hmmmm
Yes. The supercharger knows what type of car. No, you can’t charge a Porsche, because it will not pass the ISO 15118 handshake. These cars and chargers are computers that talk to each other. Finally, The Prologue is 100% a GM. The door placard should prove that, it’s here at 13 minutes in: th-cam.com/video/iEFoufTyeUI/w-d-xo.html&si=mLza22TyxbELnKfk

I’m not sure I understand your question. I traded it for the Prologue. But something tells me that’s not what you mean.

The “GM adapter” is the Tesla adapter. It’s $750 on eBay
Hi. I tried the adapter today but it did not charge. I don't know how to make a setting in the Tesla application. I identified the car as you showed in the video, but nothing happened. my car is honda prologue 2024.
@@OmerAydin-nk1hs you’re not the first person that said this, I will test immediately
Lectron just told me it has to be a newer V3 (250 kW) or V4 (350 kW) Tesla Supercharger to use the Vortex on other EVs. NOT ALL SUPERCHARGERS WORK.
@@inpursuitofgoodservice9636 this is 100% accurate. In fact many V3 don’t work either. Let’s stop for a moment and enjoy the strange world of 2024. You can now buy a Honda made by GM and charge it at a Tesla station. That sounds so amazing. Then you realize ICE car fill up stations were never brand dependent.
Gas will always be an option. 100 years of infrastructure certainly helps.
You should take a business class Judy, then you'll understand how infrastructures work, especially for new technologies. Instead of ragging on Tesla, all you guys should thank them for single-handedly putting in the charging infrastructure in the country. This almost bankrupted them. I own a '24 M3P and I support them 1000%. Why shouldn't I? Without Tesla you would never have ANY ev's....period.

They aren’t cheap. Think of it as a way to access areas you previously couldn’t because of a lack of infrastructure. If you need to use them regularly, you can pay a monthly subscription to get 20% off the price per kWh.
Oh damn, didn't know it opened up to the Honda/Acura as well!
It didn’t. The Prologue is made by GM, and you can convince the supercharger you have a Blazer, essentially the same car.
@@Aslash304 Yeah I would have expected them to lock that somehow in software, but if it works it works!
You don't watch the video
These cars are selling horribly! Confirmed by a manager when we went in to buy my daughter a Civic for her birthday. We currently own a BMW iX M60, and a Tesla Model 3 Performance, so we inquired about Honda’s EV offerings. Even the salesman was uncomfortable talking about the Prologue. As a Honda fan since owning my first one in the 90’s, I know they’ll eventually come around to improving their EV options.
The Prologue is a GM. It was the best selling Non-Tesla in August. Did you find published sales data to verify the sales?
Are we being fooled here? Is Honda a Trojan horse for passing as a GM proxy, what would happen once Tesla realize this?
It literally is a GM. The door placard says GM.
So basically, you lie to the app and say you have Chevy Blazer? Because if I say Honda Prologue it says no super chargers are available.
Correct
Nice! Blocking 2 stalls is a blessing for everyone else.
I didn’t block anyone. I live in WV. I explicitly state this in the video. I’ve got a feeling you didn’t watch it, though. I’m quite certain this supercharger location has never been at full capacity. Look it up, any time, day or night. But, the poor use of sarcasm earns you a 0.3/10 on the criticism meter. It was indeed criticism, but barely. A very low score indeed.
Just because you allow it to sit for a few minutes does not mean it works. Try charging it from 20 to 80 percent and see if it errors out.
It doesn't. I have a Prologue with the Tesla adapter and it works fine from 20 to 80.
There are literally hundreds of examples at this point proving that it works. What I haven’t seen is someone not being able to use it. If I run into that, I’ll post it right away.
I'll wait till cars have nacs plug built-in, not having to carry around these plugs,
You’ll have to have one adapter or the other. I do agree that the CCS to Tesla adapter is cheaper and easier to get, as you can buy the OEM version directly from Tesla.
Thanks Elon and Tesla, the others talked a good game, Elon and his minions just DID IT in the face of constant negativity and out right hate and vandalism. That’s who you want on your side.
