FINALLY someone respects Disenchanted!
I genuinely think people don't like the sudden acoustic, but it ties the entire album together. Honestly, they could've added f*cking harmonicas to that album and it would've worked.
The one and only problem with the black parade is the fact that there are no songs that are better or worse than any others, besides mama and sleep, those are in a league of their own
The song is perfection I think it gets overlooked because it’s right after teenagers and right before famous last words two of the most recognizable songs from the album other than welcome to the black parade
i'm pretty sure there are harmonicas somewhere on mama and it's all the better for it

In case you didn't know, here is the story behind The Light Behind Your Eyes. So this mom came to Comic Con and told Gerard how her teenage daughter was in the hospital from drug overdose and she asked him if there was any way he could call her and talk to her because she is in lots of pain. Gerard being the teddy bear that he is, said "Of Course" and so he called her and she said, "I'm scared. I can't go to sleep, and I am hurting. It hurts!" and he said "It's okay you will be okay. I want you to promise me that you will never hurt yourself again!" "Okay I promise!" he then said something that is now in the song: "If I was there with you I would sing you to sleep" she then proceeded to break down crying and he kept reassuring her that she was gonna be okay and she needs to hold on. After that, he made the song for her.

all im saying is the most underrated mcr song has to be Save Yourself- bruh it's legit my favorite song by them and yet it's so goddamn underrated and I feel like not enough people talk about it- even though lyrically, it's one of their strongest- that chorus gives me chills everytime haha- but fr epic list my dude.
Save Yourself would be in my top 5! Use to be my absolute favorite !!!! You are completely right ITS SO UNDERRATED!!

Save yourself is my favorite off that album, I don't like it that much cause imo there's a couple songs that kind of sound the same for instance: 'Bulletproof Heart (which I don't like that one very much already) and The Only Hope For Me Is You' then there's 'Summertime and The Kids From Yesterday'

MCR means a lot to me. Their first song I heard was the black parade when I was in high school back in China. I was shocked and kept listening to their songs over and over again. Their songs were basically the outlet of my emotion when things were not good as they should be. However when I showed their music to my friends they thought I am a weirdo and out of my mind, especially when they saw their outfits and makeups I posted on the social media. When I showed my girlfriend the song ‘mama’ and told her the traumatic story, she couldn’t take it and told me ‘why the hell you let me listen to this’. It was quite sad when I couldn’t share my music taste with nobody around me. Years have passed I now still occasionally listen to MCR. Seeing this video reminds me I could be proud of my music taste, even though they are not understandable to many people.
Well basically people who loved mcr were cool kids of 2006.

I Never Told You What I Do For A Living is my favourite song. I feel like it's so overlooked but in reality it's probably one of the most important songs on Three Cheers.
It closes the album beautifully with a roller coaster of emotions, starting fast with a strong guitar riff, getting slower and coming back up to full speed over and over.
It puts the story in such a sad and brutal perspective that I haven't experienced with any other song on the album. When you really listen to the lyrics and how they are sung it makes you feel the same pain of loss, betrayal and sadness. I really advise you read the lyrics while listening to the song and know your Three Cheers knowledge to respect this song for what it's worth.
And the conclusion? Never make deals with the devil, they never end well.
It was the song that got me into them because I heard them in this game called True Crime: New York City so I decided to start listening to MCR some more and I liked them
MCR is one of my favorite bands of all time too and I just wanna say I love and respect your list. You did all the songs justice 😔✊ I've seen other MCR rankings but its not the same 😔💔 they aren't passionate about MCR like KILLJOYS FOR LIFE 😭✌so I really enjoy your rankings amd your whole TH-cam channel in general.

Disenchanted really is a truly amazing and underrated song. I have no clue why, but the lyrics in the first verse really strike my emotions. I admit that when I first listened to The Black Parade this was a song that my mind sort of skipped over, but it grew on me the more I heard it. I know every song on the record by heart, yet this one is always my go to song when I feel like singing my heart out in my basement when no one's home. It was also the first song I learned on guitar. I am really just amazed with how great the song is. Definitely a stand out even if not at first glance.

It’s not a fashion statement, it’s an f$&@ing death wish is my personal fight song that gave me strength to overcome depression. Famous last words helped me too. MCR literally saved my life. I felt like if Mikey could get through it so could I.

100% on board the 'Disenchanted is underappreciated' train. Been on this train for at least 10 years.
Some damn good picks on this one and I definitely appreciate the inclusion of Kill All Your Friends. It feels like The Black Parade's B-sides don't get as much love as they deserve.
My only disappointment is the lack of Mama but hey, at least the other 4 of my top 5 made it to the list.

Very solid list imo, but I'm devastated that I didn't see "I Don't Love You." Yes, it may seem like a cliché song, but knowing the backstory behind the entire album, this track shines. The patient isn't as down and depressed (you could say) as they he is in cancer, but this song really is the first to tell you that he's starting to realllly push his closest ones away. He knows what's happening, and it seems he can't quite get to removing his relatives yet, but someone has to be the first to go. The first person happens to be the subject of the song. It's really sad for me to listen to because knowing what comes next, this song makes a lot more sense after just getting off of welcome to the black parade.
That's how I view it (I haven't tried to look for the "real" story behind this song), and I would probably have it in my top 15 (at least). I could have it on repeat for hours.
