When I worked in both Southeast Asia and Southwest Asia I hired a maid/cook. Sometimes I hired a driver and translator and from time to time a bodyguard. In some countries I could carry a firearm. Not sure how I’ll handle retirement. There’s no reason not to keep domestic help. It supports the local economy.
Rob and Chrissy great video you're both really improving infront of the camera. With dominant and submissive thing, why are there only two options? 😁 Me and my fiancé we talk about everything. In planning and other areas I take the lead, with the travel and organisation in the Philippines my Filipina does it. For us there's no labal, only togetherness.
New to this channel, but like the solid content. Things are often different between he culture, with regard to being "wild in the bedroom." My provincial wife does get tired up, and lots more. She would have been happy with "the basics" as others have said, but she has embraced her kinkier side, thanks to my desires, and our intimacy is wonderful. As to dominant or submissive (outside of the bedroom) I don't think of myself as "dominant", but as leading and assertive. I certainly respect my wife's opinion and encourage her to voice it. As for retirement there, I have too many health issues that require regular maintenance to live over there long-term. I can understand why it is an option for some.
Wow. A fellow Keto man - so unexpected. My biggest fear of visiting the Philippines is maintaining my 3 year ongoing Keto diet. You've assuaged that fear - at least to some degree.
You are a very fortunate fellow to be with such a beautiful, intelligent and articulate woman. However, I think you interrupt her too much. Let her finish a comment before you interject another thought. She is very patient with you.
Funny....I grew up in Florida. We never had AC in our house. It was not until long after I left home that AC was installed. I think my parents waited until we were all gone on purpose. 😅😅😅
Always great to watch you two interacting and feeling the love from your Filipina. Very interesting subjects. Is this the back porch to your house where you are filming? I think I need the full house tour. Rob are you going to buy a house at some point? My dream is to have a mountain house and a beach house near surfing 🏄…Living the life I want! I better start making some coin in the stock market if I’m going to be able to get there in less than 10 years…57 now…
Hi Eric, hope you’re doing well. Feel free to schedule a call if you want to talk. We did a house tour but people want to see a more detailed house tour so we’re thinking of it.
If you are not into tying a girl up and blindfolding her, you are throwing away an exciting thing that she can experience beyond what most men offer. It is not about hurting her. It is about anticipation. About excitement. If she feels safe with you, then as long as it doesn't hurt, she should be willing. And vice versa.
Hi Rob & Chrissey, have enjoyed your experiance in CdeO to date. One thing I must however mention regarding a relationship is God forbid should anything happen that leaves Chrissey on her own. My own wife of 40 plus years continued her career as a graduate of Xavier University up until I retired in 2008 and we moved to the Philippines. As a result of her working she was able to contribute to the pension chest although I always had good jobs and salaries myself. Consequently she on retiral has the UK state pension and a pension from her employer in her own right. As my wife used to remind me whats the point of an education if you don'r use it. She said her brain would turn to Tinola through lack of use. There is 11 years between my Asawa and myself and during my 40 plus years of association between myself and the Philippines I can honestly say I have seen it done it and wear the Tee Shirt and I would not change a bit except have come to the Philippines a little earlier in my life lol !!!. Best wishes to you both.
I am Canadian my wife was Filipina we were married for 24 years till she passed away and I can tell you she was not that submissive lol I'd like to think we had a give-and-take partnership 50/50 which was perfect as yours seems to be. You look perfect together all the best of luck to both of you! ❤️
I have always found it very strange that many Western men describe wanting to find a "Traditional" province girl, and very often in the next sentence mention expecting a wife to be submissive. I can only speak from my own experiences with my wife and other Flipinas I have met, but submissive isn't a quality I would use to describe them, traditional, yes, at least in the sense that many Western men interpret it. While a Filipina may have the man take the lead in public, behind the scenes it is a full partnership. I liked the word, Rob and Chrissy used, "Copilot." Jerry, it sounds like you were lucky enough to have something similar with your wife. It reads like you have many wonderful memories with your wife to cherish.
@@Learning.Naturally Paul, we feel so privileged to have you commenting and replying on our messages and those of our other subscribers thank you sincerely thank you
@@FlyMeToThePhilippines Sorry if I respond too much. You and Chrissy have created a more positive place to watch and gather and dialogue than most VLoggers do. About cooking and chubby Filipinos: My in-laws asked if I knew how to cook. I assured them I could. They said good because Lyn can't! After over 12 years now she has become a very good cook, although she did ask me to cook once for a big Filipino party. I did the pork ribs, lasagna, etc. Turned out it was my birthday party including my family from out of state! Lyn and our 100% Filipino son eat 3X what I eat! She is still about 5'7" and 110 pounds and hardly varies an ounce. The puny little boy that came over with his mom is almost 6 feet now and built like a rock! BTW, Lyn is from Davao and her brother is fairly tall and fit and looks like he could have been cast in Dances With Wolves. Lord I wish I had their hair!
Nice channel, I’ve live in Thailand 5 years and thinking about transitioning there after my first trip this year. Most of the gated subdivisions in the uptown area have higher elevations, not all will get a breeze, but you can find homes on top of hills inside many of the subdivisions that will get a nice breeze. You can look in Xavier Estates Pueblo de oro, Fresno, Gran Europa, Bloomfields, and a few others if you email me at fly me to the philippines@gmail.com. I can forward Alma’s number if you want a realtor to look for a one-year lease or longer.

I want to do some exploring and get some great photos. Any suggestions on things to do? How far is your area from Cebu? I've not heard of your town before.
We are in CDO a short inexpensive flight or you can take an overnight ferry from Cebu. Do you want to check out my video the 30 day exploration? It talks about coming to Cebu City for 30 days single solo traveling and offers three different budgets you can look at KLOK excursions it’s an app, also you can go to Bol swim with the whale sharks 4 Hour Dr. south of Cebu City. Lots to do feel free to email me at fly me to the philippines@gmail.com for personalized Consultation.
@@FlyMeToThePhilippines Thanks for the reply, I'm really enjoying your channel. I think I am a little different to a lot of expats in that I know I'll have no problem approaching beautiful gals over there and how to talk to them with ease. My hope is that I can find a nice place to potentially retire. I really want to retire near the water, but absolutely love the views from your mountain home. I think I saw your 90 day video but not certain I've seen the 30 day one yet.

One thing to understand about Filipinas... they are partly Latina. This was a Spanish colony for a long time. They aren't submissive, trust me!!! But, at least with my wife, she is a GREAT co-pilot. My original intention was to live in the Philippines with my wife. But, things happened in the US that forced me to come back here, and I gave my wife a choice. She didn't want to live a long time without me while I took care of things in the US, so she came here with me. We've been married almost 6 years, after being together 2 1/2 years in the Philippines. My wife and I have had a lot of similar expectations and found similar realities.
Well, thanks for watching our video and taking time to share your story. It’s really interesting. I’d like to hear more about it in terms of how your wife adapted and how it went for you.
@@FlyMeToThePhilippines My wife adjusted well. The biggest problem for me was that she didn't want to be a homemaker, she wanted to work and make her own money. She's very smart, but she had to work to support her family in the Philippines even though she's the youngest of 6, because she's the smartest. She started a business for her family that is still their income today. Anyway, in the US, Amazon will hire anyone. She got hired easily, now she's a manager (5 years later). She loves it here. Like me, she's more of a loner and doesn't like to go out a lot or party or anything. Neither of us drinks or smokes. She has a group of friends, mostly Filipino, that she occasionally hangs out with. To be honest, not much really changed between living in the Philippines and living in the US. We have to drive more, so she got her driver's license. We both work, spend a lot of time together when we are off, and travel a lot. Like I said, we spent quite a bit of time living together in the Philippines, so we knew each other. Nothing much really changed, except we both work now and we have less time together. So we enjoy our time together more here in the US.
@@Steven-t9s My wife's last name was Canatoy. Her family had Spanish descent for certain. Most of her friends also have Spanish names. Not all, obviously, have Latina in them. But enough. And she 100% has the attitude, hahaha. We lived in Baguio for over a year, and I think, in that area, they are less likely to have Spanish descent.
Are you saying that I should NOT try to get through Philippine immigration with my furry handcuffs, whip, and (ahem, cough, cough) "leather accessories?"
FEEDBACK comment right on! I've had to shut my mouth often. 😄 TRAVEL yes indeed. I don't like to sit home. I enjoy traveling in Luzon. ENGLISH I was very surprised at the lack of English speaking middle aged people. CALL CENTER better English than most country men FOOD teaching in laws not all meat needs to be cooked like shoe leather. EATING yes western fast food has arrived. NOSES it's a European things! 👍😉
In order for your lovely wife, to get social security survivor benefits, she must have 5 years of US residency, absent some very rare exceptions. Please consider that in your planning for the future.
@@FlyMeToThePhilippines another idea to consider is presuming marriage is for your stepchild to become a us citizen thereby getting you an increased benefit while you are-alive and child is under 18 or 22 with college. Your wife, i think, could get that child benefit as the caretaker, if you passed before the child was 22. I got a little obsessed on this topic trying to help a widowed Filipina with 3 young kids get the survivor benefit. Not successful due to the 5 year residency rule.
The only downside I've found with Asian women is jealousy. Currently I have a Chinese girlfriend in Shanghai, whom I'm about to marry. We have a fabulous relationship and get on extraordinarily well, with one exception.....jealousy. She doesn't seem to understand that i have a lot of friends and colleagues, many of whom just happen to be female. I'm hoping that as time passes she'll become more relaxed and less jealous of female friends and colleagues whom I've known for many years, before I met my girlfriend.
I've been here in the Philippines for 2 months now, the noise and/or roosters aren't a problem, I've raised 5 kids everything is just back ground noise for me!
Whatever flaws the US has, good customer service is not one of them. We have the best customer service in the world. If Chrissy buys a dress in any store in the US and decides she wants to return it and get her money back within 30 days, they will always take it back and not ask any questions. Any Americans living abroad have to accept how spoiled we are here and it's not going to be like that anywhere else.
@@FlyMeToThePhilippines Can you spell the name of the region you are living in? Also, in your Q's next time comment on building codes and quality of construction there.
When she smiles as the tropical wind blows through her hair, if he's talking I don't hear a word that he says! In fact, I think I'll just mute the whole thing but continue to watch. 😇
My biggest wonder is about clean drinking water, and what do you do all day? With you retired and her not working what do you do? I have a hard time envisioning how we would spend our days and what she in particular would do for personal and educational growth.
Everybody drinks bottled water here we get 5 gallons or 20 L delivered for $.50 they come into our house they pick up the bottles they deliver it and we have a dispenser which is bottom loading so everything‘s very easy we have eight bottles
My concern as well, including food borne illness due to poor regulation/sanitation if you eat out frequently. Many Expat vloggers talk about it taking a few months to "adjust" to the food. My feeling is, they're really adjusting to the bugs in the food, i.e., viruses/parasites/bacteria, etc. Not fun, especially if you're not in the best of heath to begin with.
@@johncarlson6472 Jon knock on wood. I haven’t had food poisoning in over a year in the Philippines however, I do not eat the street food in the Philippines in Thailand. I’ll eat the street food and in China. I’ll eat the street food, but I avoided here because it sits out unrefrigerated, bacterial pneumonia is another problem. I got my first month here and a lot of of Expats get it from bad air conditioners.
I can deal with everything but jealousy, it just ruins everything to me. I had one jealous girlfriend and as beautiful as she was I just couldn't deal with it.

Allen, thanks for watching our channel and that comment was a great share
Wow. A fellow Keto man - so unexpected. My biggest fear of visiting the Philippines is maintaining my 3 year ongoing Keto diet. You've assuaged that fear - at least to some degree.

Thanks, Mayner we hope. Hope you much success.
You are a very fortunate fellow to be with such a beautiful, intelligent and articulate woman. However, I think you interrupt her too much. Let her finish a comment before you interject another thought. She is very patient with you.
Thanks for the kind words and the feedback

Funny....I grew up in Florida. We never had AC in our house. It was not until long after I left home that AC was installed. I think my parents waited until we were all gone on purpose. 😅😅😅
My parents moved when I went away to college when I came home on vacation. I was shocked that all new furniture.
I live in Daytona Beach Shores, Florida - no AC - no FL.
🤔
Thanks for sharing that

I am Canadian my wife was Filipina we were married for 24 years till she passed away and I can tell you she was not that submissive lol I'd like to think we had a give-and-take partnership 50/50 which was perfect as yours seems to be.
You look perfect together all the best of luck to both of you! ❤️
Thanks for watching our video and taking the time to share. Sorry to hear about your loss. Thank you for the positive feedback.

@@FlyMeToThePhilippines Sorry if I respond too much. You and Chrissy have created a more positive place to watch and gather and dialogue than most VLoggers do. I appreciate that as I try to learn more to understand my own sweet wife and prepare for our move to the Philippines early next year. Hopefully, some of my own experiences can add something.

Thanks, Stephen for watching our video and writing such a great comment and sharing all
Nice channel, I’ve live in Thailand 5 years and thinking about transitioning there after my first trip this year. Had a lot of memories of my Philippine grandmother in the states.Grew up in L.A. but hate the big cities. Looking for a nice places to visit close to services but but smaller like Chiang Mai. Any suggestions?
I like Chiang Mai, perhaps Roxas, Dipolog, or Butuan? Email me at flymetothephilippines @gmail for consulting rates

How did you end up in C D O? I live in cebu. Great video . I think you have one of the better you tube channels.
Another Vlogger made a video top five places to live in the Philippines and Cdo was number one that year since then he’s changed his top five and Chrissy‘s family lives five hours south in a part of the Philippines, not for Expats to reside

We will be doing a trip to CDO and Malaybalay in a few weeks. What are some of these nice communities uphill that have a higher elevation near CDO?
Most of the gated subdivisions in the uptown area have higher elevations, not all will get a breeze, but you can find homes on top of hills inside many of the subdivisions that will get a nice breeze. You can look in Xavier Estates Pueblo de oro, Fresno, Gran Europa, Bloomfields, and a few others if you email me at fly me to the philippines@gmail.com. I can forward Alma’s number if you want a realtor to look for a one-year lease or longer.
It’s noisy here in Thailand but I live in a small home community it’s only 30 homes here it’s ok but the road is close and loud motorbikes sometimes.
Thanks for sharing that comment Roy
Awe you two hold back too much. You can go deeper into these topics with precise language w/o cringe or crudeness.

Is Chrissy happy living in the Philippines , or does she want to live in America

hi, I just found your channel and like your style. I'm coming to Cebu in Sept for my 1st trip to Philippines. I plan to say in IT Park area, renting an apt to myself.

They were there a long time before the Spanish came but that would be an interesting subject to delve into the history of the indigenous Filipino.
@@Murph_. They all have Spanish names and lots of towns and cities in the Philippines are named after Spanish places but they don't speak Spanish.

In order for your lovely wife, to get social security survivor benefits, she must have 5 years of US residency, absent some very rare exceptions. Please consider that in your planning for the future.
Good suggestion 💯👌
SS Survivor Benefit is one thing that no other investment provides.
Yes, it is something we look into down the road

Thanks for watching our video and taking the time to comment. I wish you the best as we work through this issue together.
A man can’t be friends with women, there’s never a good ending in the end….
@@cbsguy6363 there’s a bit of truth to that
Come on now you can't have female friends and not expect your spouse to get jealous.
