Repeatedly I have been seeing this clipping but still Iam feeling as it iam seeing first time, that's mesmerizing of Lara., what a wonderful batsmen to watch.
I was fortunate of very few Indians to see 400 of lara live!! On TV I mean
Too many legends.. beautiful sight!! Thanks for this ❤️
Despite his high backlift the amount of time he has to play 90+ mph deliveries (@2:42 and @2:50 and @3:28) is amazing. If you freeze the pane around @2:43, you will see that the 90+ mph ball is virtually upon Lara, while he is still waiting with his super-high backlift, and yet he middles the ball perfectly . His bat must be coming down at lightning speed.
@Uday. Your observations are worthy of scientific reward! Congrats on that!!!
Only Lara and Tendulkar are the two guys who could play shane warne really well and sometimes even dominate him. Lara is the best player of spin ever no doubt about that.
Lara was one of the best, but don't forget Andy Flower
@@supamaka u dont forget v v s Laxman
Vvs Laxman played Warne the best
I think u forget Vinod kambli
Vvs is the best against spin
Am tired of counting lara's double tons. Every week there's new youtube recommendation!!!!!! ( And guess what, most of them against Aussies)
Wait isn't he the guy with two daddy triple hundreds
we dont mind getting outplayed by one of the best.Probably good for us...
@@ayushkanyal3163 had a quadraple century
Gone are those days , when we all witnessed the batting and bowling of this class. Matchless 🔥🔥
Don't think there's ever been a more universally adored cricketer than Lara. He was a absolute genius with the bat. On his day, was a level above anyone else I've seen.
I watched it live and it is the best innings I have ever seen. He had almost no support at the other end and demonstrated the lost art of protecting the other batsman from the strike with incredible skill and patience.
*Lara was an artist his batting is like a poetry* 💖
*One of the greatest batsman of all time 🙌.. if not the greatest (which is always a subjective) but he's the most complete player this beautiful game could ever get* ✌
Sir Wajahtulla wasti is the greatest ever.
@@nishantintouch I still remember in 1999 world cup, the same wasti scored 16 runs from 50 balls against SA.
@@ahamedshafeek172 that's why he is greatest .
To you I say cheers!! Absolutely well said!!
Shane Warne is a great character 🙏🙏he always appreciate his opposition..that is a great example of sportsmanship.. because this is not a war..love u Warne..you are greatest spinner
What a classic and legendary play, the kind of shot selection has blown me away!
A batsman batting the whole day, then going back to his room to sleep, then coming back the next day and continuing for the whole (or most) of next day with the bowlers toiling and still not able to get him out... this is one of the really beautiful things about test cricket, to be found in no other sport.
Sometimes I feel blessed that I passed my childhood watching these evergreen champions. Legacy always remains intact!
Every shot is picture perfect.
Clean technically impeccable hits.
Artist at his work no one can even think coming close to him
Just and just class, Brian Charles lara. One of the best batsman ever of cricket history.
Best of the best. Remember waking up early in the morning for a Non India involving match only to watch him and Ponting bat. Golden days of my life and many more like me from that era. Crazy genius.
Team total - 343
Lara total - 200
That describes it all.
7 wkts down
The handshakes at the end just take your heart away!
❤️
Worth to watch every shot played by this **LEGEND**
AND now these days we just fade by sixes and fours
Oh! Good old days... Cricket was different back then..Nostalgic memories
Standing ovation from the other countries fans before batting. The man is Brian Lara ❤❤
He was literally let down by his teammates who often performed poor & put extra pressure on him.
That's because his team mates didn't have anywhere near the class of the great west indies batsmen and bowlers of the late 1970s to early 1990s.
@@Bernie8330 true , he could achieved more benchmarks if his team performed better.
They didn't have the discipline. Of all the members of that lineup.....only Chanderpaul fulfilled his talent. Sarwan should have averaged close to 60.........gayle too was woefully inconsistent.....samuels was even more inconsistent and more arrogant to boot. I'm not saying lara was an angel but this guy's should have come to the party more often. How many times dis we see lara score 170-200 and the team total was 380-400 when usually an individual score like that ends up in a 500+ team total
Yes you are right
Optimistic Guy that’s not a Very optimistic thing to say
What a classy cricketer, always looked calm but was aggressive with the bat. Legend!
What an excellent decision by Aleem Dar! That looked plumb to the naked eye and the Australians were all over him. One of the best umpires in cricket.
Sorry l! It never looked plumb! Only to Australian commentators it did. If you see old videos and number of times Lara and Sachin have been given out wrongly by umpires, specially in Australia you will know that they not just had a great team but no 12 and 13 too ( in form of umpires ) playing for them. No wonder neutral umpires and DRS have now made it better. Remember Sydney test of 2008 ?
@@RAHULJAMWALreached Well it's seems that you are the only genius in the comment section if you didn't find it plumb to the naked eye. And about the Sydney test, let that one to rest mate it's been 12 years.
@@RAHULJAMWALreached
you Indian stop comparing Sachin with Lara, Lara is the Boss, Sachin must have learn from Lara how to Bat in pressure situation..
I don't know these hindu Indians always talk about Sochin Dhoni kohli sharma they are shi TT man come on
@@entertheheaven.7671 Indians are not only Hindus but also Sikhs, Muslims, Christians, Parsis too. See we Indians are not a country based on religion unlike yours. So take your filthy agenda somewehere else, this is a civil cricketing discussion. Even other civil people from your country who love cricket will be embarrassed by your opinions.
Oh Brian Lara-My Batting hero when I was growing up-Him and Sachin Tendulkar are 2 of my favourite Batsman to watch (Very Smart and Technically Superb Batsmanship)It would be a huge honour to meet these Legends of Cricket-I remember the day when Brian Lara scored that Incredible World Record Innings of 400 against England in 2004 Great Batsman-Wonderful Cricketer to watch!!!!!!!!!!
Watched this to refresh myself, elegance at the highest level.
I love how warne complements him as he was leaving the field. Shane really appreciated that innings.
One of the most finest knocks in the history of Test cricket by legendary Brian Lara!
However all good things have to come to an end sometime... This is what Tony said when Lara got out.. sensational batting, sensational commentary...
Brian Lara is poetry in motion - a beautiful, elegant batsman. I could watch him all day😎
Even someone watches (after 100 years) LARA and SACHIN playing old matches ----- have to feel fresh every time and only think about where they learned to play such class/unique strokes.
