Borla! Get the Borla!! Just watched a 7.3 yesterday with the Borla and it sounded absolutely incredible!!
I hate seeing rusted brackets and driveshafts on a brand new truck. Ford should stop skimping on paint. Cool headers! 👍

My headers will deliver in a couple days, 2WD planning on true duals w/ 3" magnaflow turbo mufflers.
Beautiful truck. I could see that truck pulling my Mustang to the track.
I like the sound. Be cool to see duel exhaust on it. 3” straight out with loud mufflers such as Flowmaster or Magnaflow etc.. Also 4” 15 degree cut off tips. I think it will look really good. Make it a very deep tone. Some where 24hz.
I think it sounds perfect with the stock cat back. Anything louder imo would annoy me in the cabin.

That's the power it should have had factory. With the 10speed I'd love to see what that does in the 1/4

Yeah you'd get another 100 hp with a decent size cam and dual 3" exhaust (probably would need a cold air intake too)

@@matsmith5937 Whipple has had their Stage2 gen. 5 , 3.0 L blower out awhile. It was 775hp on stock motor and 93 pump gas.,
With big roller, heads, tuned on E85R with all supporting mods and more boost this is a 1,000hp/1000tq all day... with stock short block.

With a built short block and twins tubos, Chevy LS motors better watch out.

And the hilarious part is a dealership agreed to install it even though they're required to comply local/state/federal regulations when it comes to emissions & SAE. However there are some exceptions for pre-emissions required vehicles.

@@rickutley931 Yeah, I know. But when they do, I'll buy one. Those guys are right that this engine is sucking air thru a straw. I put one on my old 5.4 after so many years and was impressed with the performance of the engine...it seemed "gutsier" and sounded like it enjoyed bigger air. I couldn't imagine putting the stock one back on.

what's funny is at 1:28 you said it was an easy install, well i just got mine installed an these guys had a hard time with mine took them a week to get it done. The ones i have done have nearly as much space left over as those.
Install a flow master super 44 with resonators. Real nice throaty sound with no rasp or over the top “clap”. I have it on my 5.7 hemi 1500 and it sound really nice. I was quite surprised

Complements / complaints, spell check suck. I don’t disagree with you I been turning wrenches for 20 years now. I just simply like the way the super 44 with stock resonators / stock piping sounds. Only thing I replaced was the muffler. Sound very throaty
My work truck is. 6.4 2500 4x4 crew. Just gotta convince the boss to let me open her up😎

That's all that was laying around at the time.
They look good but they are not long tubes. These are a mid length header. Sure they will make more power than the stock manifolds but real long tubes and and a full 3 inch exhaust is what everyone is waiting for.
In my opinion long tubes or leave it alone but to each their own.
A follow up... wife say she wants to go to the beach. I think your shop is on the way. F150 2019 3.5 tt could accidentally be by this summer.

nice gains...is that hitting the fuel shutoff or rev limiter on some of those runs? really falling on its face at the top.
Yes it has a hard limiter/fuel shutoff that cannot be removed even with tuning.
Is that the TFL truck? It looks just like with the fx5 sticker.

I’m trading in my 2017 F-250 Diesel the 2021 F-350 Diesel, I watched about 20 of the videos regarding the capabilities of the 7.3 gas when I saw they offered it as an option. I am gonna stick with the diesel. There is no comparison whatsoever. Hands down, the diesel is the way to go if you want better fuel economy and of course superior towing.
Great video though! Beautiful truck too. That truck sounds like a hotrod.
While they are definitely better for towing, any mileage benefits are null the first time you take it in for emissions or fuel system repair. Which will inevitably happen.
Yes if you are going to tow on a daily basis, A weekend tow every once in a while does not justify the extra cost of the engine upgrade and cost of fuel.

Most likely 1 7/8. Could be 1 3/4 primaries, but 2" would be overkill until they put the procharger on

The power gains are impressive. However, appears the cats were removed. I think the motor has a SOHC. Is anyone making cams for this motor yet? A cam and ported heads would really help out.
It's a OHV engine. Cam in block.
Hearing it idle for ten seconds would’ve been nice at least. No need to bounce off the limiter 30 times.

Was there one before? I've been watching for the VMP Odin for the 7.3L.... so far I've only seen a Whipple.

Yes, we added a ported intake. We'll be adding one of those Whipple intakes soon...
Not a tuner but isn't the basic rule of thumb long tubes raise top end at the expense of low end torque?
No.. proper long tubes will increase low end. It's when you shorten your intake runners that the shift happens.
@@superkillr why don't por mods run shot tubes?? Small diameter tubes promote syphoning, true enough, but noone I ever known run short tubes in a race application. The proper sizing of the tubes as well as length dictate flow charistics. Typically long tubes are reserved for mid to higher rpm. Feel free to disagree.
@@markmccarty727 long tube headers make more power everywhere in the range because of scavenging. Bin proven on dynos many times.

Salt in the air is just as bad as salt on the road. Used to see guys bringing in rotted out trucks to the dealer I worked at in North Carolina because they played in the salt marshes

7.3 liters, no cats, and not even 500 lb/ft at the wheels. At 6,300 lbs that truck couldn't get out of it's own way. What a turd.

A light 1500 truck I'm sure would get underway just fine. But the diesel offers 1,000 lb/ft of torque. And, I don't think Godzilla is an appropriate name...especially when one considers the Nissan version with more of everything in terms of power.
Headers aren't going to make any difference in a vehicle that heavy. It's just physics.
