Roy Wood is an amazing storyteller. He knows how to segue into the story, pace it, build up suspense, then ultimately subverts your expectations in a hilarious way. He's what I would imagine if I could take the literary skills of a talented author and transform it into a verbal skill.
Rod Stewart was a staunch champion of civil rights aside from being a likable singer. Like walked civil rights and not just talked it, got arrested at marches and so on. Could be that possibly, or simply the fact that the man's voice makes women swoon regardless of age, race or orientation. If you can't tell, I'm a pretty solid fan myself. Good tunes.
*Rod Stewart* is the male version of *Tina Turner.* That's the way I've always saw him. Some of my favorite songs of his are: *'My Heart Can't Tell You No'*

He walked off. put his guitar down and grabbed a seat next to us at the bar... i was just like ''hey, Rod!'' lol... Thats all i could come up with... and i really do like Rod as a musician. My mom loves Rod Stewart, too. Always has. 75 year old southern black lady. She'd always watch him perform if he came on TV and on the radio, never turned the station if he came on the radio. I honestly think it's a combination of his raspy voice and being the rare, cool WM they would ever consider let get it.
