Waouuu the best of the italian cuisine is that they use all the fresh ingredients and you could remember to home when you try it. The extra virgin olive oil is to die for
Can understand why 1.5k people dislike this method to bake this type of bread and make Sandwiches. Looks amazing at all!! Who doesn't like to eat fresh baked bread sandwich straight away out of the oven like that. Are you joking me? Is there any reason which can dislike this video?
Abitavo in Italia, vicino Brindisi per tre anni. Molto mi piace Italia. Sorrento, che citta bella. I do love and miss my adopted country of Italy. Never wanted to leave but the U.S. Air Force thought otherwise. My daughter even has an Italian birth certificate.
I make a version of this sandwich I call Pogachoni, which is an acronym for Potato, Garlic, cheese, and onion which are the main ingredients in the sandwich. It has a mayonnaise sauce with onion and garlic powder mixed in. I use the same method to make the bread, but I cut it differently to make pocket bread. Instead of cutting it in half horizontaly, I just cut it vertically in half and then break open each half into a pocket. The secret to the best flavor is to roast potato slices and onions inside the wood oven so they have a char flavor, and then stuff all the ingredients into the pocket bread. It tastes amazing and the potato is the star of this sandwich. Try it. Pogachoni
I'm so impressed by your set up! ..some day for me.. Right now I'm making these at my local farmers market on Saturdays in Baton rouge louisiana, USA with a portable pizza oven 😋
Ok, when he put canned corn, mayo and ketchup on that beautiful creation I lost it. I stopped the video and wrote this comment. What a shame destroying a perfect sandwich like that!
A sandwich originated in Newark, NJ, years ago is on a bread called pizza bread. Never a recipe published but it’s 9” round with a hole in the center, used for Italian Style Hot Dogs. We think it’s made with pizza dough.
The whole time he was putting ingredients in the sandwhich, I was thinking to myself in an italian accent: "Where's the CREMA?" So satisfying when he grabbed that huge tube of white cream! xD
Where is this, and what is their place called! How about a shout out for these guys please 😍 I know it's in London ... More details please on your videos, just add it in the comments x
No cheese...no sauces...no butter..pure baked bread flavour and the flavour of the toppings.....simple and amazing ..I might start eating sandwich without mayo and the like...just because of this recipe
Fire oven bread is sooo delicious! There is a place at "The Pottery" in Virginia that makes fire oven Indian (as in native American) bread...to die for! I had it with the steak...a lasting memory which is better than excellent. This video makes me want to build a fire oven in my yard!
Hi jupe367 , sorry to let you down but this is not our staple food , it’s more an Italian food manipolate to please the international taste . Nothing wrong with it but you got the wrong conclusion. anyway I just want to say that any dressing including mayonnaise and ketchup you cannot call Italian , we use extra virgin olive oil instead. ( very far from the processed food you mostly use) And the most important thing it’s not what you eat but the way you live and the relationship you have with food , as an explanation I would say that many people in Italy coltivate in their backyards theirs own vegs. Ciao
totally agree! younger Italians are now beginning to eat like this, and the results on their weight are readily apparent. but these are not traditional Italian sandwich fillings.
this is the same Sandwhiches we make on the balkan, For the people wondering some of us eat this Bread warm with only White cheese or With Cheesecream its sooooo Delicious you wont need any stuffing you have never ever tried a bread this delicious Only the bread ,
We have the same name as this sandwich but the dough has oil mixed in. We put cheese in the middle and fold it snack size and leave to rise before putting eggwash on top and baking... amazing how we use the same name!

it looked like some kind of homemade tomato sauce, might have herbs in it, unlike thick overly sweetened supermarket stuff full of preservatives and food dye. His English not so good maybe he just calls it ketchup to differentiate it from tomato sauce used on pasta etc. I can't imagine a dude from south Italy offering heinz ketchup

That type of bread is extremely popular in Egypt and that's what we used to eat in the 90s with so many different dishes. 👌

Wonderful!!! I really enjoyed watching this! Nothing beats fresh bread and a variety of fillings! I would enjoy trying it all!!
They look great. I've just converted a horse box into a wood fired pizza van up here in Scotland. I'm going to try making them! Cheers!

It's covered in garlic mayo and ketchup. Define...no sauces. Lol
What's the meat topping towards the end, and before that there was a red dressing, also curious what the white dressing is.
What about green and blue
I love Italian food!!!

NO WONDER HES SO GOOD you can hear Rattitoli at about 5:50
Is that flour our corn meal.. the powder stuff he uses while flattening the dough
Love it! Much better then buying bread for your sandwiches
is there really any difference between cooking in wood fired oven as opposed to gas or electric?
This is their staple food and yet they stay slim and trim. Anyone else outside of Italy eat it, we gain 10 lbs.

Those classic Italian ingredients tinned corn and jalapeños
looks nice, but totally ruined by sweetcorn, garlic mayo and ketchup..!! should be olive oil, red onions, cheese etc...
the sweetcorn was really out of place. the sauces might keep it from being too dry. probably not store-bought mayo and ketchup.
No cheese please.
I guess your business would just ignore customer demand and just serve them what you want to eat. Great business, I am out!
TheWeardale1 very true!!
Absolutely. Red onions, olive oil, garlic, cheese, mushrooms. Food of Kings!
How long did he let them proof after the flattening ?
Amazing!!! Nice work 😆
What do you call the green leaves or herbs that he put in the sandwhich? I thank you in advance for the answer.

Why baked sandwich? It’s a sandwich. They bake the bread and stuff it. It’s a sandwich.
I suppose the freshly baked bread makes it extra tasty
Because its so fucking good ...
It's a baked sandwich if the bread is stuffed then baked. If the bread is stuffed after being baked it's just a sandwich. Get it?
Shut up british, you can't understand anything about good food.
Keep your fish and shit.
You don’t know sorry. You have to go to Puglia and try it. Puccia is not only sandwich. Maybe out of Italy food is only food.
