This place is absolutely to die for. I visited them once a couple years ago and they let me in the back and tie my own mozzarella knot. I couldn’t believe it. The owner was sooo tired he was standing there with his eyes closed working with the mozzarella. Absolutely unbelievable, and the cheese was the best you’ll ever have in your life.
The water! NYC has the best water for making bread and Mozzarella. Comes from lime stone runoff upstate. I used to make mozzarella. Got to use that wooden spoon too! It adds flavors to the cheese. Fresh Italian bread with seeds, prosciutto, mozzarella, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, perfect!
Impossible to deny the vitality I see in the food made with such high quality and care. I couldn’t come close to finishing one but I’d give it my best shot!

I moved to Jersey from the UK and my hubby brought me to this place ... it’s the skinniest store, but the mozzarella is absolutely delicious we always get the slightly salted one... it’s just off Arthur Ave in the Bronx

So, Big up for this shop. The only ingredient that we don't use in Italy is the Balsamic topping: It's an industry product. The good one is "Aceto balsamico tradizionale di Modena" But all the rest is a really good quality Italian street food. We eat this sandwiches in the markets or simply at home with our favourite fresh ingredients! 👏👏👏

@@ddobry21 i'm form Italy, and i can tell you that almost all the ingredients are fom Italy and are top quality: mortadella, parmigiano, prosciutto, soppressata, mozzarella, pecorino, parmigiano, oil, all the vegetabels in oil (we call them "sott'olio") are really fresh and you find the same quality in Italy.
So, Big up for this shop.
The only ingredient that we don't use in Italy is the Balsamic topping: It's an industry product. The good one is "Aceto balsamico tradizionale di Modena"
But all the rest is a really good quality Italian street food. We eat this sandwiches in the markets or simply at home with our favourite fresh ingredients! 👏👏👏

It would have been nice if all the different meats, peppers, sauces, cheeses, etc had been identified in the video. I want to go in the place and say, "Give me one of everything". Wow. I'm salivating just watching all the great sandwiches being made.
